rob... i really enjoyed the game... commercials werent all that great this year tho... was watching sebastian... (always keeps ya on your toes... this time it involved PETROLEUM JELLY and him "CLEANING the bathroom with it" ack! thats the last time i let him go to the bathroom alone...*sigh*..
anywho... i didnt eat anything scary... all low carb stuff.. the only "iffy" thing might be the carbsense minicarb granola... it doesnt have any sugar alcohols in it... so i ASSUME it was okay to have a half cup... but ya never know.. i havent really researched it on here..*L* rest was just cucumber.. deli ham .. and a hotdog (that was shared with the baby..*L*) some salad mix and some cheese.. *L* pretty boring stuff eh? *L* .. well... first time for superbowl in 26 years without darlin honeymoon there...kinda felt like just ANOTHER sunday football game ..:-(
hope ya didnt do TOO much damage... and if in doubt? dont weigh today..*L*

I wasn't too interested in watching the Superbowl this year either...especially when I found an all day marathon of Little House on the Pairie on the Hallmark channel!!! I LOVE Little House on the Pairie!!

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!!

Shelley - smart move eating before the game.

Mary Kay - Taxes - eeeeek! I filed my federal and got my refund a couple weeks ago but I owe the state so I'll file April 15th. I can't nap in the middle of teh day usually but when I'm on 3 or 4 hours sleep the night before it's not unusual to conk out before 8:00 p.m. especially after a couple beers.

Kim - Glad you did better with the game food than I did. I'm up 5 pounds. vaseline? That must have been fun to get off porcelain. LOL

Shimmer - I almost never watched little house on the prairie when it was on but every once in a while I really enjoy the reruns.

Fat tuesday is very apropos. I feel fat still after sunday. I'm renewing my commitment to low carb And I did pretty well yesterday with 1543 caories and 30 net carbs. I'm going to try and keep my numbers about this range for a few more days to rid my body of carb bloat and then for the rest of lent I'll try and keep calories below 2000 and carbs at about 40-45. We shall see.

Yesterday was day 2 of my recommitment. But undoing the damage from superbowl weekend will take a few more days. I wasn't only terribly bad on SB Sunday but only had one day where I wasn't over my limit in calories and/or carbs for the previous week. But yesterday had 1190 calories and 26 crabs net. HAd so few calories yesterday because I had salad and an ounce of cheese for both breakfast and lunch. Then a medium steak with another salad for dinner. Oh and a side of broccoli.

Mary Kay - Exactly - I lost 111 pounds with the simple philosophy - If i have 2 good days for every bad (at a minimum) I'll get where i want to be eventually. That strategy has worked amazingly well but I could never have sustained this without this website and all teh wonderful people who come and stick around.

Gregg - Thanks! Yes that's net crabs as opposed to crabs you catch on hooks. lol

Gregg - They are good aren't they!

Felt like crud all day. Splitting headache. Nausea until late morning. Didn't feel up to eating until 5:00 except for 1/3 ounce of cheddar. ahd dinner at 9:00. calories were low because of that. 1163 calories and 48 carbs. Well it's 9:30 time to walk the dog and get to bed.

Hi there Kid! Glad you finally could get back to see us. Yes, You were Missed.

Felt like crud today again. Just a better class of crud than the other day. But I managed a 3 1/2 mile walk by taking a 10 minute break after 2 1/2 miles.

For dinenr had chicken thigh parmesan. Very good. I liked it better than with the usual chciken breasts. Used a combo of one third parmesan and 2/3 almond meal for the breading. MAde my own sauce. well i opened a can of tomatoes with rosemary and simmered it with some garlic and oregano. Couldn't have been easier. Well yeah it could have. There could be some low carb options at my favorite italian restaurant.

Wow, Rob. You are quite a cook!
I'm surprised that you've not received a dozen marriage proposals on this site alone!

(making a note to myself: If I ever remarry, find a guy who can cook...especially one who can cook low-carb.)

Kim - It's funny you should mention curry paste. My supermarkey just started carrying it and sent me a dollar off coupon for it.

Melissa - I'm the laziest cook most days. MAybe once or twice a week I'll want ot do more than bake or fry a piece of meat.

Still not feeling well today. I think I need to rest. Maybe yesterday's 3 1/2 miel walk was a mistake. I really pushed to finish. But I woke up hungry this morning and even though I wanted my usual BIG Sunday breakfast I opted for some carbsense hot cereal. It;s not horrible. At least not if you add cinnamon and splenda. and only 170 calories per 1/2 cup. Now I need my second breakfast (didn't know I was a Hobbit) becasue i ate the first at 5:00 a.m. along with a pot of coffee. Figure If I can hold out until 11:00 I can have lunch. Otherwise a piece of cheese will hold me over.

ROTFL! I am so glad I'm not the only Hobbit on this board.
I think Kim created a monster when she insisted I stick around for the Breakfast Challenge. I went from never eating breakfast to sometimes eating two breakfasts. LOL

I know you and Sadie like to walk, but you should take it slow the next couple of days. Waking up hungry is a good sign that you're getting better. I hope the rest of your day went well and that you are on the road to total recovery.
