Kim - Not the underrated one the binge/purge kind of purge. LOL not really! I didn't need to since i got on the scale and weighed 199. How do you make your wasabi dip? I need to pick up some of that wasabi powder.

Mary Kay - Ah to be the sole cook would make Football sunday's easier. Actually because my sister is a type 1 diabetic her snack choices are pretty low carb. The only thing I eat there that I probably shouldn't is her bean dip. But i is so delicious. She layers cream cheese with salsa and beans and tops with cheddar and bakes it. MAN IS IT GOOD. Can't stop eating it once I start. Then there is her cream cheese and sausage and jalapeno dip that is almost as good as the bean dip. Run for your life it's raining drool.

I was lucky Kim. I bought a bag of pork rinds to use in the dips and there was crudite and that cream cheese sausage dip. So Nothing there was a high carb choice except the taco and tater chips kind of stuff. I also made hot wings and they went over well. But you know how no matter how low carb everything is and no matter how good you think you are being...just grazing all day like that makes teh carbs add up. In Fitday I have several custom foods that are just estimates of food blowout days like yesterday. There's one custom food I labeled Screwup, then there's screwup2 and lastly (but not leastly) baddayatblackrock. I figured yesterday was a screwup. With the 8 miller lites I estimated my total calories at 3275 and carbs at 81. Could have been worse I imagine. I'm not unhappy because I enjoyed it.

I grabbed my umbrella after the drool comment...now ready to reply...199 is totally awesome! I remember that day...I wanted to shout it from rooftops! I loved the apron comment too a few days back...amazing the things that impress us these days isn't it! My mother is still amazed I have manage to "get skinny" as she put it...We took family pictures for Christmas...I was dying to share my NEW look with everyone! I still get comments at school all the time...and people asking how much I have lost...You must get that all the time...still...what are you about 19lbs form goal? GEtting right close to that pre-maintenance thing there! Keep up the good work!

Lori - I feeel like my family treats me better since I've lost weight. I got a lot of those wow comments the first year but that has slowed quite a bit. People I knew only casually and had not known long when I was 310 pounds Do not recognize me. You can tell by the "who the hell are you" look they give me when I say hello. But they always say hello back. One guy I hadn't seen in a year and knew fairly well asked my friend Jackie "who is that" when she waved to me. It feels good but not being really heavy is reward enough.

This cold weather is going to break today. Was only 28 today and the high may reach 50. YES!!! unfortunately the warmup didn't happen soon enough and a pipe burst in my laundry room. Not real happy about having to call a plumber at 7:00 p.m. But it's fixed now and my condo neighbor gets to share the bill with me. So it could have been worse.

I need to get walking again but this groin muscle starts screaming when I walk any distance at all. I'm going to try for one mile this afternoon.

Rob, you've done so great! I see no reason why you can't have a "bad" day now and then so long as you don't let it become habit. A few extra low-carb calories here and there keeps us satisfied and could keep us from falling off the wagon completely. As you said, you enjoyed yourself. This is no race to our goal...although at times I feel like I'm getting behinder and behinder. (how's that for guud gramuur? LOL)

Boy, oh boy...what I'd give to see 199. Just about the time I thought it was in sight, my body came to a weight-loss screaching halt. I've been 201.5 and 202.5...back and forth...for two weeks. But it will happen in it's own time. As I said...it's not a race...it's simply a journey.

Melissa - You'll get to onederland soon, I know! It took me almost 5 weeks to go from 202.5 to 199 and I had to get sick to do it. LOL

I managed a 2 1/2 mile walk today! Yeah me! I've only walked 8 miles in the past 15 days. At 39.25 miles for the month. bah!! :-(

and just because it's true ROB = 199

Yes Mary Kay I'm happy with the loss no matter how i had to get there.

Kim - Yes Football, that's it. Football. LOL This is a very weird winter weather-wise.

Yesterday was 65 degrees so i went for a 3.75 mile walk at the lake. In short sleeeves (in JAnuary!!). Unfortunately a cold front is moving through the area as I speak (okay type) and the high today will only be 42 and tomorrow 43.
The good news is That I should get my Federal tax refund by February 1 according to the Irs website. Will have to celebrate when that money gets here.

glad you got your walking in Rob. We're at 8degrees this morning (-7 wind chill) - just getting out side these days is pretty depressing.

Taxes - don't even want to think about it. I'm on the 1099 route, and have to wait for 13 of them this year. But I think I planned better in 2004 than I did in 2003. Last April really, really hurt.

LOL, Cynthia. I'm with you! We Californians think that anything below 68 degrees is FREEZING, don't we?

If I didn't set my heater I'd had to wake up to 66 or 68 degree temperatures in the house, which is NOT acceptable for taking a morning shower. I have my heater timer set to 75 degrees in the morning. It kicks on about 6:30 a.m. and warms the house up to shower-taking temp before shutting back down to 68 while I'm at work.

Years ago, we had in-laws visit from Minnesota in January. They were wearing shorts while sitting on lawn chairs in the sunshine. It was rather funny. The rest of us sat outside in sweaters or light jackets...wishing we were indoors where it was warm and comfortable! LOL

Rob, you must have been here on the board a long time. I see you every on here.
I am new, been here for only three weeks and am trying to get to know all the others here better.
Everyone seems to be doing so good with their weight lost and I hope i can keep up with you all with it to.
I have lost almost 10 lbs. the first two weeks and know I have lost more this week to but i have not weighed in to see how much yet. I like to wait until Saturday to weigh in and then i send it in to the board on how much I have actually lost for the week.
Hope to getto know you Rob and everyone else better in the coming weeks.
