Sounds like your own version of circuit training.

Let us know how it's going!

Kristen, your plan sounds great. Keep us posted on how you're doing. BTW, what is the "chair thingy." LOL I was trying to imagine why you would be going up and down. Are you doing tricep dips?

Kelli.....haha ha....My chair thingy is actually called a Lifestyler Cardiofit. You sit on it, it has a high like handlebar and you push up with your legs as you pull the bar in. The seat goes with you, so when you are fully extended you are in a standing position.....and so on and so on. up down up down. Can you picture it? It really works my arms.

The new routine is working out nicely. I do 5 sets of 20 pullups on the 'bike thingy', and I'm up to 5 whoppin minutes on the crosstrainer. I checked my heartrate when I was done and it was 156. So, am I working anything?

Also, I have been trying REALLY hard on the water. 40oz. yesterday whoopie dingaling!! I'm very curious about my weigh-in on Friday. BUT.........I wont be discouraged if I stay at 225,,,,,TOM is due this week~AAARRGH.

I am so glad yesterday is over. I was such a crab to my daughter. My husband even got mad and told me I was mean to the kids 'all the time'. What? That is news to me. Even though he apologized for saying it afterwards, it still hit home. I am begining to realize that the older I get (big 4-0 in May), the pre-menstrual drama is becoming a problem. It almost sneaks up on me and before I know it, I've either over-reacted, or screeched for no reason. I think I will read up on it and maybe it's time for some sort of supplement for my mood swings.........Today is a new day, but I'm still teary-eyed and cant seem to get out of my own 'poor me' hurt feelings rutt that I'm in. Of course I could problay blame these feelings on PMS too! Damn hormones!!!!!!!

I drank one stinking glass of water yesterday. THAT is pathetic. I did my workout ha ha hahaah......I'm pretty impressed with my little schedule I've got going here. So today,,,,,,,,,,,,more water...........excercise....................Oh, and to top it off that stupid little hog in Pennsylvania saw his shadow! Like my cabin fever isnt bad enough without that craphead rubbing it in for 6 more weeks!!#@*%!!!!! See? Now I'm doing it to you guys! I'm getting off and I'm going to have a GREAT day if my life depends on it.

    Kristen,

I'm sorry that you're having a rough time with TOM, but I have to admit that your posts make me smile. I love your nicknames you use like, "dingaling" and "craphead." See, there can be humor even with the gloomiest of days. Don't worry about venting to us. That is what we're here for

oh man... my kids and husband call it my PATCH medicine..*L* i used to have a patch.. but now it is just pills... if i start to eat someones face off for no apparent reason... (or even WITH a reason) they will always say.."have you forgotten your PATCH medicine?" *L*.. usually i have... its actually quite frightening that sometimes i wonder who i would be with just a little more this..or a little less THAT in my system.. cause not having the right amount of hormones turns me into a STRANGE and SCARY person... a person that the one i THINK i am doesnt like very much..*L*...
anywho.. sorry bout the TMI (too much info) but i wanted ya to know ya aint the only person in the world with problems with the mood swings..*sigh*... at LEAST there are TWO of us now..*L*

Well, I actually read the groundhog story this morning on CNN, which tells you that I need more constructive uses for my time.

The water takes some time to get used to...just try to increase it gradually and you'll be at your goal intake soon

Thanks to all of you........you're so understanding!!!
Yesterday was MUCH better, yes. Kevin even took my car and had it inspected for me and came home with a big fat Yankee Candle. Candles always make critisizms easier to swallow.....tee hee! We have been married for 15 years, but we met when we were 16 and 17 and have been inseperable ever since. I still get butterflies when I see him turn in the driveway~~~awwwwwww! Enough of that.

I'm up to 6 minutes on that nemisis elliptical machine-woo hoo!! and 100 pullups on the chair. Please let there be some progress tomorrow on that scale......water is going down slow but still, it's going down!

    NO PROGRESS TO REPORT................Bummer.

I look at it this way: it's not going to happen fast for me. BUT.....eventually there's no doubt that I will start losing. Yes, it is difficult not to get discouraged. I really like excercising and slowly but surely it will happen for me. No giving up allowed, I've got nowhere to go except d-o-w-n.

Big game Sunday. I have invited 10 or so people over for Chili out on the deck. We are going to bundle up and have a fire in the 'pit' and the kiddos can make s'mores. It's supposed to be brilliant sunshine and in the low 40's, so that is perfect weather. And the fresh air will feel so good.
Today I have got to bite the bullet and buy my cockatiel a new cage. He is a darling. I've had him for almost 12 years, his name is Drew (named after Drew Bledsoe~ex NE Quarterback). Well, that cage of his is pathetic! But I almost passed out when I realized that the new one I want is 99 big ones. I would just blow my $ on dumb stuff anyway, so this will be a feel good purchase. I am so bad with money!
Today is Patriots day at my little girls school,,,,they are all dressed in football from head to toe. She and her little girlfriend sat here this morning and made 'I love Tom Brady' bracelets and put red, white and blue beads in thier hair with that bead machine that she got for Christmas~it was so cute.
So anyway, that's my Friday so far....

GO PATRIOTS~sis-boom-bah! ..........and all that jazz.

Kristen, you're doing so well. 6 minutes on the elliptical is super. You'll be doing 10 minutes in no time Will your cross trainer allow you to go in reverse direction? If so, try mixing it up. Do 2 minutes forward, 2 minutes in reverse and etc. That used to help me get more time in.

Yes, the crosstrainer will go backwards too....I never thought of that! I will have to try it, I'll problay hate it just as much hah ah ha!

I got Drew an awesome cage, it's called the Stone Cottage. I like it. It's worth it to spend the little extra and get something that you like because you are going to be staring at it for a long time. Well, that's my reasoning anyway! And let's face it, once you spend the money initially on the bird,,,they are relativley cheap to keep.

HIP HOORAY FOR THE PATRIOTS!!!! That Tom Brady is way too adorable. *sigh*..........Sorry, I just had to say that.

I am so hungry today,,,,,I'm going to eat, eat, eat.......but all legal good stuff. I want something salty.........mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Yesterday I recieved some horrifying news. My girlfriend's husband and 8 year old daughter were killed when their house burned down. My friend and her 14 year old daughter got out. She lives in SC, and it happened on the 22nd of Jan. She didnt get in touch with me until yesterday. My heart just breaks for her. Please send prayers out to Brad and Savannah.

I did get my excercises in, that's about it for yesterday. Just couldnt function properly.
