    Hey Kristen,

I have to try scrapbooking someday. I keep all of my son's art and pics and wierd school projects (he's six so stick people are really big for him right now). I might run to Michael's this weekend and wander around.

I hope you get to feeling better. The evil machine is so much more evil when you're sick.

You will love it and be addicted before you know it! Scrapbooks turn into works of art themselves and you son will sooooooooooo appreciate it when he is older!

I think it's a good thing I can't drink coffee ( oil in it burns the skin off my face), cause if I could....I would never stop at just a coffee...I would need a donut to go with it. It's been years since I've had a donut. Living in the boonies has it's purks sometimes. No McDonalds and no donut shops.
I'm glad that you agree with me about digital scrapbooking. I made the mistake of taking my grandkids books to one of the family do's and my son's inlaws were there. They really liked the books. Next thing I knew the mother in law was making digital pages and asking if I minded putting them in the books for the kids. I was furious but bit my tongue and acted like a lady (while I swore inside like a trucker), and said of course I would. I did put them in the book even though I didn't want to. Now, when I look at the pages and come to those ones, they look awful. I'm not saying that just cause I don't like the people (oops, inside voice came out there). They just don't look as good as a real picture and knowing it took a long time to make the page just perfect. I had a friend tell me I should just scan the pictures and redo the pages. I don't want my daughter in law to see that though so I'll just leave it. If they should try to put any more pictures in my books I think I will just try to politely tell her to start making her own books. (and don't tread on my turf woman!) lol
What a nice sister you are! I love $ stores! And the ones in the states are the best. Ours up here have a lot of junk in them and you have to be careful what you buy. On holidays last year we were in Washington and found a huge $ store. We came out of there with bags of stuff and it didn't cost that much. We bought all our halloween candy there too. I can't wait until Spring when we can get the motorhome out of storage and head down there again. My favorite scrapbook store is in Washington and right next to a grocery store where I can load up on lc yogurt which isn't sold in Canada.
I keep a bottle of water in the fridge at all times. It's nice and cold and every time I open the fridge looking for something that I don't need it reminds me to smarten up. I just take the water out and start chugging. I always have one on the go at work too. At night I switch to green tea (which helps in weight loss too), or I have 1 diet coke. It's really important to keep yourself hydrated. Especially when you are exercising. I've got to get myself back on that. I have a bike, and easy glider and a treadmill getting dusty. I used to have them in a spare bedroom and used them all the time. Then we turned that room into a playroom for the grandkids and all the equipment got moved downstairs. Out of sight out of mind. I never use it. It's like...if I have to go downstairs...I feel like I'm being punished for something. Dumb, eh?
We own our own business too ( hubby takes care of that, and I have a separate job), and it is definitely a slow time of year. We can't wait for Spring break when the traffic will start again. It's definitely a make it when you can world. Everyone just barely scrapes by in the winter and has to save to make it through the hard times. Hope it turns around for your sister soon.

I dont think I would like digital scrapbook pages, It's almost like the computer does the work, that's the fun part! Definatley not for me.............

I lost 2 lbs!!! 223 this morning....That is really something, being so sick all week and not being able to excercise. Strange how things work but I'm not complaining! So basically, it's taken me over a darn month to lose 4 lbs. At this rate there is no way I'm going to lose another 18 lbs. by April 28th. Unless something drastic happens. I dont care, I will take what I can get as long as I'm not gaining!

Kevin's birthday is Monday, (actually it's the 29th, he's a leapyear baby) I just dont have it in me to throw a party this year. Every other year I have a big shindig for him but with being sick the thought of having to do a cleaning marathon and entertaining is for the birds........ He wont mind. He thinks he is getting a watch, but I'm getting him a PS2. Brice has one but they have to keep unhooking it whenever he takes it somewhere and it's just one big pain in the butt. So now he will have his own and I think he will be surprised.

Snowing again.........of course. Have to go get my check and do some farting around in town then come home and rest up for work tonight!

I might look stupid, but it won't be the first time....what is a PS2? It must be some kind of game, but with no kids at home I don't really know.

Way to go on the 2 lb. loss. Sometimes we need a little boost in our diets, whether it's eating a little more or a little less to get us going again. Losing slow is the way to go so your body will keep it off.

Did you get your new copy of Paper Wishes? If not you can order it online (it's free). It's got all kinds of new scrapbooking goodies. Like I need more. I'm only a year behind on my pictures now. Sometimes I think I like the embellishments more than the actual pages. lol

I'm still hanging in there with the lc woe. I go up and down like a yo-yo. I freak if I'm near 153...that's the number I've given myself to start to panic. I went over by a half pound earlier this week so I pushed the water and ate a lot of salad. Back down to 152.5 this morning. I'd like to stay right on goal but I don't think that's going to happen.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

PS2 is a Sony Playstation 2. I'm not personally into video games but my husband and son really like them and he doesnt ask for much so anything to make him happy! He was really surprised, yes I gave it to him 2 days early: couldnt see keeping it from him and then giving it to him on Monday!

I finally had a good night's sleep last night..........though this morning it's back to the Advil as my nose is still running like a faucet and my head is banging. This cold just wont go away. I've never seen anything like it...yuck. I dont even feel like going shopping with hunnybunny today (which is like a free pass to get anything I want), I just feel that to beat this I have to stay completely low-key and rest. I hate the fact that I dont feel good enough to go, it's so much fun. I think I will give him my 36 ex. film and ask him to have it developed at the hour place... good idea Kristen!

Oh, those pictures were very boring.... I dont think there's a single one out of the 36 that I even like. That's wierd, I usually do pretty good. Oh well, now they're out of the way!

A little better this morning....Kevin bought me Vitamin C, 1000 mg per serving to help me boost my immune system a little. It's like trying to swallow a canoe though, the damn things are giant. Well, he bought them for me and I will take the one a day. He is a vitamin freak.......loves to read up on them and always takes his. I just open wide and hope they go down tee hee..........

Okay, just because I'm writing in your journal it doesn't seem fair to me that I get your cold! I'm miserable. Can't breathe, can't sleep, can't eat. Wow, that doesn't really give me much I can do does it? All I did last night was blow my nose and cough. But, I'm sure that like a good trooper, I'll be at work tomorrow. Great...just what I wanted to do when I feel like crap. But, on the good side, it's 40 degrees here today and just too nice to be inside. So, I waited until hubby went to darts, and I went outside and washed my car and his pickup. I know I would be in trouble if he caught me but I couldn't even see what colour my car is and I'm even more miserable in a dirty car. (Yup, I'm a neat freak). Then I walked the dogs, so now I can say I got my exercise for the day. Sorry, you are still under the weather. This cold must be some type of new virus or something. My hubby has his 3rd bout of it since January and this is my second and we never get colds. Hope it goes away soon!!

    Hi Kristen,

I hope you're feeling better. I just got over a bad cold myself. Congrats on the 2 lbs loss. It is always nice to see the scale go down no matter how you lost the weight.

Yes, yesterday I could feel myself getting slowly better. The headache went away but I'm still blowing my nose, I mean.........WHERE IS IT ALL COMING FROM????? I feel so guilty that I havent been on those machines at all. Today, I am going to get back to the grind. No if's, and's or big butt's! I have to pick Sydney up at school this afternoon, she has a dentist appt. (fingers crossed, no cavities). Last time it cost me 168.00, for 2 fillings and that was after my insurance paid thier part. I almost dropped my checkbood when she told me how much. I dont want to do that again! Just thinking about how many flowers I could buy for the garden with that money~GRRRRRR! Tonight we are going to my husband's grandmothers house for dinner. It's his birthday and she is buying pizza's. I will take my own chef salad, none of my in-laws recognize that I dont eat carbs, so to hell with Kristen............ I always take my own dinners on these occasions...smart smart smart. My sister-in-law and Mother-in-law are thin but both of them have a face that would sour milk so that's my own little revenge hahahahahhahah.......... I might be chubby but I'm darn cute! ( and slightly evil).

So today: 8 min on the elliptical and 100 pullups on the cardiofit. Lots of water and take my vitamin C. No cheating! Chef salad for dinner and no eye contact with the in-laws! Oh yeah,,,,,blizzard coming tomorrow which means the kids will have no school and I will be shoveling most of the day.

I hear ya about the nose blowing. lol My poor nose is soooo red. My hubby is a sicko that always starts his day singing (I mean, really, who likes mornings), anyway, he took one look at me this morning and started singing rudolph the red nosed reindeer. I will get even!!
I thought I was the only one with relatives like that. I went to my grandaughter's birthday party and was told by my daughter in law that she had nothing for me to eat. Then took out a second bowl of potato salad made special for her dad cause he likes mustard in his. I usually take my own salad but this time I forgot. I haven't talked to her since...do you think she's getting the hint? My son won't even acknowledge that I have lost this weight by lc. I agree with you....they can have their high carb crap and we will be modeling new clothes with our cute faces while their faces sour milk! I sure hope the blizzard goes around you....I was outside pruning my chrysanthemums yesterday. (sorry, just had to get in that little dig). Just a couple of weeks now and you will be on the rides in Florida and I'll be whining that's it's still not warm enough. Hope your Monday is a good one!

Oh, thank God I'm not the only one with rude in-laws! What your daughter-in-law did would definatley be seen as a slap in the face, rotten cow! Some people just dont have any class........living great is the best revenge I say!!! Or just learn to scream into your pillow at night hahahhaah.!

Dinner at Mimi's went ok,,,,I had my fake smile on when my MIL came in and looked at my plate: She says........."you brought your OWN salad?"....I replied.."Yes, I always do because I dont eat Pizza and sandwiches". Another thing she does to me is pronounce my name Kris-TON. Not Kristen. She is a caddy, nasty piece of work who pretends to be all innocent and sweet. I got her # baby! OK, no more wasting my time on that crack.

Guess what? 10 min on the elliptical WOO HOO!!! I did it. I'm up from 3 min hahahahah! It's only taken me 3-4 weeks,,,oh, I'm funny. I actually drank quite a bit of water today also.

OMG, I cant even imagine 30 minutes at this point!

I did not manage to even get on it today though, I had a very hard night last night at work.......the lady that I work for slipped and fell on her head 1/2 hour before I got there......The girl that was with her before me called and asked that I come in a little early and filled me in on what happened. I was relieved to get there and see that it was just a little bump on her forehead and a small scrape on her knee. We called her doctor and described everything and he was confident that she wouldnt need to come into the hospital, just to watch her and give her a mild pain reliever. PHEW! She is 74 and has Parkinsons Disease and she is the sweetest woman I have ever met. She wouldnt hurt a fly and it is just so sad that she never married or had children and that she is growing old alone. To tell you the truth, I hesitated for months on taking the job because I knew that I would become attatched to her and that things would be a challenge. I'm so glad that she is in my life, she is a treasure. Once in awhile I take Sydney with me and you can tell that it makes her day to have a young one around. Little pleasures........right? So anyway, I got her resting in bed around 8:00, and then at midnight I went and gave her 2 more Ecotrins and some cold Diet Pepsi (her favorite) and she seemed good for the rest of the night. You just dont get good rest when every creek or cough makes you jump and worry. So basically, today has been a bust........the kids are home from school with this snowstorm. I'm telling you they are going to have to make up days at the end of the school year this time. That will make them mad hahahahh.......

I had better get out there and start shoveling............BAH!
