Your T-Bird would fit right in here in Vegas. Your welcome here anytime. What part of the desert are you originally from? Have a good one!

Thanks Tom! I grew up in New Mexico on a reservation, and eventually ended up in TX going to law school and remained there until I moved here to KC..... so this is all an adjustment for me with the winters and all.

Have to get up and get outside for a nice walk. Not as cold here today as it has been and I haven't walked in over a week. Miss my walks. Probably will take the twins and that will be a workout in and of itself, especially if the wind is blowing just right and they get the scent of a raccoon or something else.

Rhonda please post up a pic of your twins sometime. DW and I really miss our Bassetts at times. We may do another (set) after our present 2 dogs pass on. We remember taking them out to an off-road event once. Only once! They got the scent of something and I found them 2 miles away up a sandwash, 2 hours later.
I used to live in El Paso and would go up to Las Cruses for camping activities with the scouts. Nearest snow from there. Have a nice walk.

Rob, thank you so much! I think we both should get one of those thingies when we find the money! Yes, I am awake far too early again for a Sunday morning just like you. Enjoying my beloved coffee now Thanks again Vickie and Rob! Have a great day everyone. Already dreading going into the office tomorrow....... now isn't that a shame?

I used to call it Sunday Syndrome. I'd wake up with this huge feeling of dread every single Sunday because I didn't want to go to work. Of course, mine was topped off with a migraine every single Sunday afternoon. That job was really bad for my health! Kind of ironic... I worked for an HMO.

Don't think about tomorrow, Rhonda (a LOT easier said than done). I hope you enjoy your Sunday

It always makes me sad to know that nice people have to go to jobs they dread on Monday morning. I am so blessed to have a job that I love and work for a man I admire, respect, and most of all, trust. It amazes me that more bosses don't realize that if you are good to your employees they will bend over backwards for you! Pretty simple concept. I'm sorry that your boss doesn't know this....and I'm sorry that a nice person like you doesn't get the respect she deserves at work.....it is really a shame as you said

I hope you have a good day anyway....

Vickie, thanks for stopping by and for your sweet post! I made your pumpkin thingie and it is in the frig cooling off. Going to have it for dessert tonight!

Far behind on laundry today so must not play on here much longer. Dryer is sure to buzz at me any moment.... watching cooking shows as I fold and put away the laundry. Trying to have a somewhat "relaxing" day and still get my chores done

Happy Sunday Flowr,

My job has been kinda suck-y lately too. All week long I wait for Sunday, then on Sunday instead of really enjoying it, I dread Monday. We both need to learn to live in the moment a little better. At least on Sundays. I find getting all my chores done early lets me relax a little more the rest of the day. It will be Monday soon enough, relax and enjoy your day.

I've ordered a Magic Bullet too (yours are much cheaper!) - our food processor/blender screamed itself to bits recently - and although its being replaced - I needed one to take with next year. Vickie should get a free one for all this promotion! Flower - I hope you DO relax on Sunday - you drive yourself far too hard lady - and you expect too much of yourself! Take more care of number one!

Well... yesterday was the last time that I'll be dreading Sunday for awhile Only today and Wednesday, and then no more job. I won't miss the job, but I will miss the income.

I hope you have a wonderful week, Rhonda! At least it's a short week

Kim, decided I will just car shop for a clunker and keep the t-bird. Looking into used mini vans now. They seem to be affordable enough for a second car. Only looking at the front wheel drive ones for now.... so we will see what I can afford. Paying insurance on two vehicles is a big consideration as well, plus personal property taxes, etc.

Been behaving myself on the WOE front since my episode with the enchilladas the other night. Think I have my Mexican fix for a couple of months, or at least I hope with the h/c end of those things. Had some celery stuffed with l/c peanut butter for breakfast and a spinach salad with a package of tuna for lunch. Dinner is anyone's guess since it is pulled pork in the crockpot and I won't get near that stuff since I didn't use the l/c sauce on it. Plan on leaving work on time tonight so I can take the twins for a walk before it is totally pitch black dark. I have missed my walks and today is in the 40's so if I wait much longer in the year, will not be walking at all. Kim, I am NOT as brave as you as to walk in the ice or snow. You be careful!
