I visited CNN's page and Southern Living today; I don't know how I missed that beautiful picture.

Popping in to see how you're week is going! I hope that you're holidays bring joy and peace!

Kim, I am suffering woefully in my veggie count these days too. If it wasn't for always having a salad for lunch, they would be almost non-existent in my diet now. We must do better!

In eight days I will have been doing this WOE for one year.... I KNOW better!

Franny, Kansas City is indeed a very beautiful city. I love living here.... except for the winter! The carriage rides on the Plaza are sooooooo romantic..... I remember when romance was in my life.

Tina, thanks for stopping by! I am doing better than a week ago. Sometimes you just have to let thing go that you cannot control.... I know this, but it's difficult to do some days.

Rob my friend.... it's always a pleasure to find you here .......

Katie, congratulations on your continuing weight loss! You are doing fantasically!

Hi Rhonda!
Seems like it is tough to eat salad this time of year. Our bodies want something warm and that will keep us warm. My salad intake has been lower than I would like as well. Doing plenty of protein.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Berta, I agree....... the New Year will bring me much resolution in my life....... and maybe a date or two. Not really concerned about my social life at this point, just stabilizing children... divorce takes its toll.... most of all on the kiddos, so I feel this is MY time in life to assure them I will never leave......

Tom..... geez, I could apologize all over myself for not coming to visit you within the last few days, but ........ well, you know....... life gets all consuming sometimes!

GeeGee....... gonna have to come and visit your living room again REAL soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Making tons of taco meat....... figure that will get me through the next couple of days and the kiddos love Mexican so all is good here. Have to start massive housecleaning Friday night for the family crowd coming over for Christmas. Not the traditional meal this year. Roast beef and enchiladas........ with some side dishes....... Hey, it's MY party so I can cook what I want

Last minute shopping is designated for Saturday (early morning)..... yeah..... I am gonna be out there with ALL the crazy ones like me!

Just popping in to say hi. The next few days will be crazy busy for most of us, I see! Have fun shopping on Saturday morning. I remember once, when the boys were young, I had to work a lot of overtime right up until the 22nd. So, the boys and I got up at about 4am and I took them to walmart on Christmas Eve so they could buy some gifts for grandparents, etc. It was so much fun. We shopped from around 5 until 7 or so and then went to breakfast together. I hope your early morning shopping leaves you with a fond memory as well.

well, I just wanted to say hi...I've been so busy lately that i haven't really been commenting in people's journals...although I do lurk some and just stay caught up with what's going on with everyone.

Ah - very wise Flower - minimising fear of abandonment issues - a priority - you are a good mother!

Rhonda - Good luck fighting the Christmas eve crowds. Wish we were having your Christmas fare, I'm so not a big fan of ham. except on rye with swiss and a huge amount of mustard.
