Enjoy those calvins...after I missed wearing some of my favorite clothes I started trying a few things on each week along with my goal pants and seeing where I was and how they fit...that way I could wear tehm as soon as it was possible to get the most wear out of them...I still do it though I am down to a slower than a snail pace of losing anything anywhere. I am not that close to goal, but my body likes this size...A LOT!

i have several COLUMBIA vests that i used to wear OPEN (yeah.. they DIDNT fit closed.. whatsyerpoint,, it was a FASHION STATEMENT..*LOL*) but now they dont fit CLOSED.. stupid armholes are HUGE..... come to think of it.. i missed a real nice black vest that i waited to long for too.

but! i did buy a cute photograph skirt of pictures of mexico and stuff ... figured it wouldnt fit.. but would work for it.. IT FIT! AND its poly/lycra/spandex stuff that is what they make bathing suits out of... straight skirt,...sooooooooooo cute.. i LOVE it...

*now back to our regularly scheduled RHONDAS journal*

Kim, can't you alter your vests? Seems like you could run a seam on each side? Don't ask me.... haven't sewn since high school home ecomnics! Lost another pound this week, so while the last several pounds are coming off slowly, still making some progress..... I know I should measure..... but never have and figure I will just judge by my clothes like you do.

Making stuffed green peppers for the family today. Thought about doing them with cauliflower instead of rice so I could have one, but figured since the family requested it, I would make it according to the recipe I have always used and then just have a salad or something. Was never my favorite meal, so guess I can live without them today. Still have lots of work left to do. Decided to work up a case yesterday, so didn't quite finish my housework. It's a beautiful day tho, so I will just pop in a DVD, start my cleaning in the living room before the family wakes up and hopefully can get it all done before noon so I will have time to play before I make the stuffed peppers for dinner.

Rhonda - That's a nice thing you did. If I had unlimited means, unlimited room and unlimited help I'd adopt every animal from every shelter. Stuffed peppers sounds really good to em right now.

I bought some pre stuffed peppers from whole foods yesterday (because I'm lazy) and they dont have rice in them so I'm having one for dinner.

It's great to see your doing so well. ((hugs))

Hey Thanks Renee for stopping Yeah, I am doing good considering all ...... made up my resolve, so when life gives ya lemons, you make lemonaide Really wanted one of those stuffed peppers, but knowing what I put in them, even with the brown rice..... waaaaaaaayyyyyy too many carbs. Besides, if I am gonna cheat, it would be something I truly like A LOT more Will have to check into peppers without rice. What else do they have in them if no rice?????

TOM is here today :( No wonder I was feeling like crap all day yesterday... On the brighter side, maybe I will loose a few more pounds after she departs

Didn't do well with food today. Felt like crap most of the day since TOM arrived.... Family had stuffed peppers and I just had brown hamburger with some mushrooms..... that's it..... all day long. Did drink my water, but somehow just couldn't force myself to eat my veggies or any more food for the day. Will do better tomorrow, and maybe the cramps won't be as severe..... it's tough being a woman!

Grilled up some lean pork for lunches this week and bought some cottage cheese so will have a little of that on my salads instead of the dressing. Don't mind eating salads without dressing since I have been doing that the last few weeks to avoid the calories, but cottage cheese, in moderation, will be nice. Especially with the strawberries Froze about 5 quarts of strawberries, so will have plenty for a while. Thunderstorms rolling in so I better be on the safe side and turn the computer off... don't trust surge bars for everything!

The package listed the ingrediants and it was just hamburger, tomato paste and spices in the pepper. They were pretty good too.

I hope you're feeling better. I know what you mean about not wanting to eat. When I was trying to figure out what the stomach problem was, I hardly ate anything at all. Relax, have some tea Those .... I don't know what to call them... they're like big bandaids that heat up and they're for cramps... Sorry if that sounds stupid Whatever they are, they really work

Oh yeah, thanks Renee! I remember seeing those. Will have to pick one of those up tomorrow at my nearby Target Will have to try making stuffed peppers without the rice next time.... just didn't want to disappoint the family by stuffing them with cauliflower, but never thought about not putting anything in them. Maybe some mushrooms or something next time. Thanks!

Going to storm here again tonight. Better than the feet of snow we had all winter tho. Put a ham in the crockpot for the family, but learned my lesson at Easter on eating ham, so making myself a broccoli quiche for dinner. Going to try adding some adkins baking mix in with the eggs since I used to make an "impossible" quiche using Bisquick. Might work....... if not..... guess it will be a salad

Well the quiche using Atkins Baking Mix was excellent Will have to freeze most of it because I dare not try to serve it to the family....... a little soy tasting, but after eating so much soy products over the last several months, it is passable.....

Having a piece of leftover quiche for breakfast. Lunch will be a salad, 1/4 cottage cheese and 4 ounces of grilled chicken breast. Drinking my water now..... must get in some green tea today as well!

Today was a personal struggle with the office lunch room..... Seems as though everyone decided to celebrate April birthdays..... including mine.... well..... wouldn't you know there was not a veggie one in the room! Lots of cakes, donuts, chips, dips, muffins..... well, needless to say, I thanked the people who contributed and explained my WOE. Heard about five times, "oh, you can just have a little". Well, a little to me would be as Dr. Atkins said "the kiss of death". Probably insulted a few of the ladies in the office by refusing, but one has to do what one has to do..... Perhaps, they are trying to sabotage my weight loss! Nahhhh just a passing thought, but you never know!

Doubtful that it would be a deliberate sabotage...but it would or could be sabotage nonetheless. I know that right now I can't have anythign not on the approved list of foods...despite what I WANT to eat! Keep up the good work...even when it is hard!
