Kim and Vickie, as always thanks for stopping by! Kim, I am going to miss you..... write home soon! Vickie, you are doing amazingly well and I so hope you get the condo of your dreams!

Off to play in my garden after a few more posts. Supposed to be over 100 this weekend and the humidity is a killer. Bought two Oklahoma Red Buds and two nectarine trees at 75% off so they MUST go into the ground today. Yes, I am obessed with my garden, but such a healthy obsession!

Eating is going well and I am staying right around 130 to 135. I just love this WOL!

Have a great weekend to all my beloved friends!

Hi Rhonda...thanks so much for stopping by my journal...I left you a response there. It's going to be hot here today too...so we are off to spend the day at the "yacht pond"....a park in mission bay. Should be much cooler near the water. Have a lovely day

Hi Rhonda! Thanks for stopping by my journal and encouraging me. This weekend is going to be a successful weekend for all of us here!!

I know what you mean!! It was so nice to see 134.5 on my home scale. The diet center I go to, L.A. weightloss scale is usually a nicer so I'm excited about doing good this weekend and weighing in Monday or Tuesday there.

I've heard so many benefits from getting exercise from daily activities like gardening. Burning calories and having fun while doing it . Plus I think gardening is a bit spiritual too don't you think?

Rhonda, we're getting the same heat and humidity that you are, but in Wichita I think it's worse because we're right on a river. Our lawn needs to be mowed (thank goodness it's Dan's turn!!!) but he's going to wait until tomorrow evening at dusk to do it so it will be cooler. Be careful out there and drink lots of water!

Heather, Nita, Vickie and Eddie..... thanks for stopping by! Eddie, it is miserable outside lately. I don't think my air conditioner has stopped running for weeks! Thank goodness I am on a level payment plan with my electricity bill.

Planted two out of the four trees yesterday, so two more to go today. I should be outside planting them now before the heat wave hits, but kinda tired for some reason or not fully awake yet, so just doing some laundry for now.

Had my coffee and leftover meatloaf for breakfast.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Rhonda - enjoy your Sunday! My roma tomatoes have had a bumper crop this week. Harvested about 20 of them so far and another 10 may be ready today. But only one of my German Johnson tomatoes has reddened. and none of the cherry tomatoes which oddly are still green but the size of crab apples.

Rob, my romas are doing very well too. All of my other tomatoes (about 16 plants) have not had even one red tomato. Sure the heat is effecting them as well.

FINALLY planted the two nectarine trees this morning. Glad that feat is done as it is heating up already.

Have to prepare my lunches for the week. Unsure exactly what they will be, but probably chicken and tuna salads as I am growing tired of the hamburger patties daily and it is just too hot to even think of eating something "warm".

Rhonda - good job getting the trees planted early! Way too hot for afternoons outdoors. Tomatoes should start turning red any day now. Right?

Rob, lets hope they get ripe soon! Romas are good, but I can't wait to have a homegrown juicy big boy tomato! Rob, I am indeed proud of myself to plant four trees in two days with the heat and all. It is so hot that I haven't walked in days. I think the heat would be too much for the twins anyway, but I know they miss our walks. Have rode 4 miles each day on the stationary bike, so getting some exercise in addition to gardening

Kim, thank you for the beautiful flower! It is so miserably hot here that my flowers bloom and immediately die.... Heat index was 105 today and has been for days with no end in site. Haven't seen any rainful since I don't know when. On the brighter side, at least I am not trapped in by ICE!

Made my lunches for the week. Some egg salad, tuna salad and chicken salad to eat over my romaine hearts. Also made some blackberries with cottage cheese and packed it in small containers for breakfast on the go.

At least I love my job and my new boss so getting ready for work isn't such a sad thing as it used to be.

This is the 2nd journal I stopped by where someone is packing lunches for the week. And I thought I was on top of things preparing for one day - lol. Great job!
