Vickie, thanks for stopping by! I love having coffee with you in the morning..... is yours still BLACK?

Well, typical Monday/Tuesday as it was today...... frantic on all sides, but I so love my boss. He is wonderful. Trying to get all things together for him for the 5 million dollar verdict he was able to get from a jury on a tragic case last year. He promised me a bonus on that one, even tho I didn't work on it. Just content that he pays me well and respects my judgments and opinions......

Eating was on plan today, however I feel bloated. Must be that dreadful TOM approaching. Had my turkey burger with mushrooms and onions and a little bit of cheese on top with romaine lettuce and the last of the homegrown tomatoes as a topper. Bunless, of course. Tonight....... well, I have pork chops in the fridge for baking/cooking/grilling. Can't make my mind up what exactly I want to do with them. Something l/c friendly for me, with extra sides for the growing kiddos, but still nutritious. I have noticed the 10 year old is putting on some weight.... must have been from my mother's fast food dropping off to him and his brother during the summer when they were home and without school lunches. I will endeavor to make a mark on the slight weight gain with him without hurting his feelings or letting him know what I am doing. I think it is so important for children to have a good impression of themselves while growing up, so I must deal with this one on a very sensative note.

More later....... now to search recipes for pork chops recipes that only take 30 minutes or less!

Hi Rhonda...yes, most mornigs my coffee is still black. I do have an occasional cup with cream in it for a treat but now it's only 2 tsp of cream in a large mug instead of maybe 1/4 cup or so that i would fool myself into thinking was 2 tbls.

I agree that it's so important for children to have a positive self image. I grew up with a very poor self image and I have no doubt that I would have been spared ALOT of painful mistakes in my early adulthood if someone had taken the time and effort to help me to feel good about myself as a child. It breaks my heart to see a young one worried about weight or body image.....I'm sure you'll handle it with care and grace.

Yummy coffee. I have two cups everyday and use it with my daily dairy serving I can have. Can't wait to get on maintenance because I won't have to rely on my multivitamin so much and get 3 dairy servings then.

Vickie, thank you so much for your encouraging words...... I know it is soooooo very important for children to have a good self-image. I have seen so many children suffer in my profession from what their parents have bestowed upon them, most of the times, unknowingly, but how they were raised. Children at school can be so cruel...... believe me, I grew up with ones that would mock me for whatever it seemed to please their fancy, because I was ALWAYS different, and am today. So, if your children are well-founded at home, they can take much more abuse at school than the others. I think, that has what has made the different with my older children. I have never, ever said something so cruel and offensive to my children. I know this hits very close home to you, but some parents only interact with their children the way they were raised and do not rise above it. Suffice it to say, in my humble opinion, I think many parents are simply mis-guided, or can only think of their own deliminas in life, rather than putting their children first.

Now Heather, GF......... you have done so amazingly well, I am certain, if you are not already, you should be close to maintenance. You are a beautiful woman, and any person who can lose over 100 pounds....... my hat is off to them!

Thanks, as always for those who stop by to share my life with me. It is steady, but interesting for the most part. And one thing is for sure, if you do this WOL correctly, you will succeed.

Off to clean up my newly painted kitchen. Having this room done has so lifted my spirts. I think I deserve that

Thanks Rhonda, I have about 10 pounds to go. So close but these last few are stubburn. I appreciate your kind words.

You are wonderful to be subtle about your sons weight gain. I remember being 8 years old when my mother said I was to start dieting because I was getting to big. She was going through a pretty hormonal time then and I remember her calling me fat AND pig. It definately can leave a mark. Growing up I always thought I was overweight and looking back at pictures I wasn't even close. Hats off to you for being an great parent.

Rob, Heather and Vickie...... thanks for stopping by! Yes, I AM taking more time to be here..... I think that is important to me and to my friends... fro without each of you, I could never have made this journey and continue on. It is sad when you read some people's journals and they just "disappear". One thing Andrea and the Moderators have made certain here is that we all stay connected. Off to finish a load of laundry and clean the kichen. Love to all my l/cing friends.

Parental strengths and weaknesses do have cascading repercussions. My father was terribly treated and he called me stupid etc a lot, yet didn't beat me like his parents did, not to mention other abuses on the rest of the family.

He did try, just with modest success.

Luckily I never took it personally as I naturally realized that was a nutty way to talk to a child. Another example is that my first memory of my grandmother when I was about five, she was lifting me up by my forarms shaking me yelling into my face, "The Devil sent you to torture me!" All I wanted was a cookie, guess I asked to many times.

I was overdoing the caffeine again, palpitations. So many times I have gone to excess. Back down the slope again travelling the road more travelled. Silly man....

Vickie, Stephen and Rob.... thanks for stopping by! Yes Rob, I am determined to take more time to post here! I agree..... where the &*^& is Kim?????

Going to be a busy, and hopefully productive day. Dishwasher is humming away as well as the washer and dryer. Trying to get all my chores done early today!

Last night made frozen pizza for the kiddos as I was just too tired to cook. Can't believe I actually ate a slice of that stuff..... brought my carb/calorie count overboard, but today will be a better day.

Rhonda - Morning! one slice of a frozen pizza is quite accceptable on maintenance. Dr. A. did stuff like that all the time I'm sure. HAve a great weekend! The morning glories have really perked up since the heat died down.

Rob, thank you for making me feel better about the pizza indiscretion..... You are right, my morning glories rarely bloomed during the summer with all the heat. Now, they are beautiful. At least I will be able to gather some seeds for next year and sharing with others as they have finally started to bloom instead of dying in the heat.

Have to be at court most of the day, so going to be extremely busy for me. Weight is going well and maintaining as I should be. Probably will be skipping lunch as choices will be limited due to not being at the office. I will make certain I eat a healthy dinner.

I owe, I owe, so off to work I go! Have a great week everyone!
