Boy do I understand the bit about not having time to eat. Sometimes I get so busy that I don't get lunch until 3 p.m. (like today). It throws all my eating out of whack. I know it's not good for my body to go without, but it would be worse if I ate what I could easily get my hands on. I wasn't hungry at dinner time...but it's now 9:30 and I'm thinking about food. I'm not going to go without. I'll get something, but it'll be more of a snack than a meal. Maybe some cheese and tea (my favorite treat since I caught this cold), maybe some cream cheese and raspberries (but I had that last night) or maybe just a spoonful of peanut butter.

You have been doing so well since you started your journey. Keep it up...and make sure you keep checking in here. There is lots of support available to get you through those tough times.

I am so sorry that your hubby is moving away. Usually, it's the wives who have trouble adjusting--especially if they are homemakers. Hopefully hubby will realize that life away from you isn't worth living in Austin. If not, well, you sound like a strong gal that can take care of herself. And besides...you've got us!

Thank you so much for signing my Journal Melissa. I so appreciate your words of encourgement. Yes, I will survive if hubby moves away. He did it once before and I so foolishly allowed him to return. I am the one in the marriage who makes the money, so we have to move where I am placed. (At least myself and four children) This is my second marriage, so things are a little different mentally for me than when I went through my first divorce... well, hopefully last, but who know! I am a much stronger person for it I know.

Been too busy again today to eat decently and I am like you, refuse to grab whatever is there..... has to be planned low carb. Did have a nice salad for lunch, but skipped breakfast and only had a small piece of pork roast and 4 asparages spears for dinner. Tomorrow is far better planned and hopefully less stress with the second day of trial!

Today will be a good day! Had my l/c yogurt for breakfast with my vitamins and supplements and my four cups of 50/50 coffee black. One glass of green tea and now on my second 16 oz glass of water. Trying to get a jump start on my fluids before the long day ahead. Will make up for whatever I did not drink in water tonight while at home. Not sure what I will do for lunch today with trial and having to "entertain" the clients, but packed myself a salmon salad with spinach and and a couple of leaves of romaine in the event I am able to eat. If not, will figure out how to combat that with dinner tonight. Thursday will be nine weeks -- NO CHEATS!

NINE WEEKS! wow! way to hang in there lady! especially with all the stress YOU are under... thats quite an achievement... really...
i did ALOT of baby spinich salads with the pouched salmon for a long time.. come summer i am sure i will get into it again (salads seem to run in cycles with me.. either i am all OVER those or they dont do a thang for me..*L*.. right now i am just eating bagged salad mix without the dressing as a snacky thang..*L*

how ya doin with the yogurt? i used to eat ALOT of the yoplait ultra... but it DID seem to make me crave more ..so i quit buying it entirely after i did a few weeks of induction without it.. i KNOW i should have tried another kind withOUT the cornsyrup or whatever it was that i saw on the ingredients of the ULTRA and managed to ignore..*L* but right now i am doing much better without ANY.. of course daughter1 loves to buy it for me cause the baby and i shared it ... but he lost interest when i quit getting it everyday... and i hate to rekindle the habit until i find a better one that i like.. i LOVED LOVED LOVED the texture and flavor of the ULTRA RASPBERRY... or blueberry..

This morning I have been hard at it preparing for trial since 5:00 a.m. Two more days of this miserable trial and whatever the verdict will be will be in. Went out to dinner with clients last night and had some l/c red sauce with meat and NO PASTA! Had it over some chicken. Ignored the breadsticks on the table so was VERY proud of myself. NO dessert of course! Tonight, I will try to get out of the dinner engagement... Had my usual 4 cups of black coffee, but this time it was German Chocolate Cake..... no sugar of course, just some fancy flavored thing. Had to grab it at the courthouse deli as no time to make the java stuff at home today :( Imagine me.... driving my car without my java fix! Scary! At least the other commuters didn't suffer the wrath! Have tuna salad for lunch today, but may not get to have it. If not, will just opt for a salad at the courthouse cafe. Hate to do that as they always look wilted and less than fresh..... and eating one of those without l/c dressing is a feat in itself! Well, one thing for sure, I won't starve to death! Still have plenty fat to burn! It will be a good day today.... no matter the outcome. One more day to be the best person I can be!

Well trial is over thank goodness! Received a plaintiff's verdict (of course I am a defense attorney) but knew that was going to be the case. Did well though. The plaintiff wanted $50,000 and the jury gave her only $4,000 so the carrier was VERY pleased with the outcome to say the least. Anyway, going to try to get life back to normal... if there is such a thing.... and at least devote some time to my children and my housecleaning! Going to do my grocery shopping this weekend, and so don't know what I will have for dinner since all my basic l/c staples are depleted for the most part. Always the standby baked chicken or taco meat something..... Kids opted for pizza tonight as part of "my celebration" for the trial being over. Couldn't refuse them so Pizza Hut is delivering. I will be strong and not have any...... sure their sauce is just full of hidden sugars..... Not really hungry this evening anyway. Probably more likely to just try to watch a movie with the children and then maybe fall to sleep much more peacefully than I have done the last two weeks. Today's food was pretty much typical for trial schedule: l/c yougart for breakfast, small salad with 4 oz of baked pork roast for lunch. That's it so far. Will try to post dinner later tonight. LOTS of water and two green teas and of course...... my addictive 4 cups of java this morning (black of course!) Should have had some sugar free syrup in one...... Well, maybe tonight as a bedtime treat!

back to somewhat normal finally is GOOD for ya... and its nice that you are spending the celebration with your KIDS! THAT is great!
i would just nab some of the cheese and toppings off the pizza if it were me.. actually i just nab the pepperoni or sausage..
(like i have said before... I used sugar in MY pizza shoppe in the sauce recipe i used... )

Thanks for stopping by Kim..... I can always count on you for encouragement! Wish I had read your post last night and I might have had the toppings! Instead, had some leftover baked chicken with green beans. It was good though.... Going to have your ACV this morning. Think I will just try 1 tbs first....... and then one more when I get home from the office tonight. Have you tried putting a little low carb granola in the l/c yogart? Adds a little more texture and it is really filling. I just put maybe 2 tbs or something like that. But yes..... never buy more than like 5 when I go to the store and they usually last me a couple of weeks..... provided I am not too busy to make something for breakfast. I absolutely love this new green tea! However..... dont see anytime within the near future I will drink that in the mornings instead of my coffee. Got to get that kick in the butt to get out the door! You are right Kim.... not nearly enough veggies yesterday. Will have a salad with some tuna for lunch today.

Last night was a taco salad... little sour cream and salsa. This morning back on track with my regular breakfast of scrambled eggs (2) with sasa and 1/2 ounce pepper jack cheese. Of course, my four cups of coffee ..... always black and now onto my ACV. Hopefully, I can keep it down! Will hold off on my water consumption until after I am back home from the lawn and garden show.... Today will be a good day! Lost 2 pounds since last Saturday, so at least the scale is moving again. I feel great, so the weight loss must just be considered a plus! (keep repeating that to yourself Rhonda!)

Had leftover taco salad for lunch today with about 8 hot and spicy porkrinds, little sour cream and little l/c salsa with romaine lettuce (2 leaves). Will have to add more veggies in my meal plan for dinner tonight. Still unsure what it will be, but more than likely, chicken. Bought some l/c pasta today.... looks nasty, but I guess I will have to see how it tastes... also bought some l/c soups for lunch and some stuffed jalapeno olives. Those were pricey, but hey.... I am worth it Specially since I don't spend money on alcohol anymore ....... oh okay, I have probably more than made up for that with the price of l/c foods and the imported teas... but I am much healthier for it! Trying to catch up on my water drinking now since I did not drink anything while at the lawn and garden show. So many things I wanted to buy for my yard, but maybe later as I don't think I would have the time to plant them and care for them right now. Maybe next month when things slow down a little with my schedule. Anyway, off to houseclean.... After a week in trial, the house sure looks neglected!

Got most of the housecleaning done and have now started on the hill of landry in the laundry room.... Will finish all of that tomorrow before the new work week begins :( Still not hungry after the taco salad for lunch today and its 9:00 p.m. so too late for a real meal. Doubtful I will eat anything else tonight, but maybe will have something not too calorie defense in the veggie category. Figure why eat this late if you are not hungry! Drinking my green tea and still have a couple more glasses of water to get in today. Won't mind getting up to the go to the bathroom most of the night as tomorrow is a day off and don't have to do anything I really don't wish to do..... with the exception of finishing up my chores, but hey, that's on my own time and my own dollar! Went to the consignment store today and picked up a couple of nice suits as my other ones were getting too large and I just couldn't justify paying a couple of hundred dollars for a suit that won't fit me in a few months. Bought two suits at the shop for less than $100. Figure I can wear them until fall and then will just donate them to the Catholic Charities or the women's shelter. Next weekend I will go through my closets and donate the other nice clothing that I cannot wear as I do not wish for them to be hanging around.... never want to be that size again and figure some women who really need nice business suits but cannot afford them will find them useful. Getting kinda tired but promised DH I would go and get his beer tonight... I sure am too nice since I won't even drink one of them! Oh well.... I did promise so off I go!

It's Monday morning all over again.... Had too many mixed nuts last night while watching the Oscars so will have to make certain I get plenty of water in today with all the sodium intake. Finishing up the last of the l/c yogart for breakfast this morning. Don't think I will buy anymore for the next week..... Just do boiled eggs or something for breakfast. Lunch today will be the l/c pasta and l/c asain chicken I made last night but didn't eat..... Made the bad choice of the mixed nuts and knew I would be over my calorie intake for the day if I had dinner :( Will do better tonight and stay away from the evil nuts! Had my four cups of coffee this morning and now on my water ritual for the day. Regardless, that it is Monday..... it will be a good day!

DH came to my office and surprised me today by taking me out for lunch. Didn't really have the time to have a real lunch, but didn't want to miss an opportunity to spend some time with him, since we rarely have that ocassion due to our schedules. Couldn't really figure out a place I could eat without spending a fortune on lunch that most of it I couldn't have because very little resturants here in the downtown area cater to l/c anymore.... so we just opted to go to Burger King and I got a Ceaser's Salad. Asked if they had l/c dressing..... but NOOOOO they didn't. All their dressings had at least 7 grams of carbs so opted to go dressing-less and skipped the croutons too. Dang, $6.00 for a salad there..... might as well of eaten downtown and had a steak or something for that price! Especially since they don't even have l/c dressing! Won't be going there again. Can't believe a big chain like that doesn't have l/c dressing..... of course, they had the fat free stuff! [REMINDER: BURGER KING IS NOT L/C FRIENDLY!]

Had the l/c pasta for dinner last night with l/c alfredo sauce and 4 ounces of l/c asian chicken. The l/c pasta wasn't as bad as I thought, but maybe that is due to the fact I have not had any type of pasta for three months! Had yet another l/c yogart... (they seem to have multipled in the frig from my last count) for breakfast and brought some of the left over dinner today for lunch. Figured maybe I should get the higher carb stuff eaten (such as the l/c pasta) earlier in the day. Will have something light tonight, probably a salad, for dinner. Drinking tons of water..... scale said I had lost two pounds from yesterday, but not believing it until it sticks for a while!
