| Re: Texanflowr's Low Carb Journey You are all so wonderful...... no wonder why I love you so! Well, finished the second week of my job. First week was basically training of the firm's software. Working for a plaintiff law firm for the last few years (who do not spend money on such things) I was really out of touch with the new technologies. There are approximately 250 lawyers in this office, so it is an adventure. I used to work with a few of them years ago (when I was in my 20's and fresh out of law school), before that law firm went defunct, so it was nice to see a few familiar faces. As I have only previously worked in insurance defense and most recently plaintiff law, the environmental aspect of law is a little scary..... so much to learn about toxic waste sites, permits, etc. The firm has already scheduled me to attend a few seminars on environmental law over the next few months, so hopefully, I will learn quickly what all of this means. Never realized there was so much paperwork to modify a landfill plan! In any event, just had to sign on to see you all. I have missed you and really, I hope to get this new chapter of my life in order so I can spend more time with you and my kiddos...... even the four legged ones have missed me! | Re: Texanflowr's Low Carb Journey Rhonda, you job sounds interesting. And environmental law is extremely important now, so you are doing an important job, too. I hope you like the seminars. Most of the ones I have to attend are sleep-inducing, or I already know more than the trainer! Have a wonderful week.
