| Stephen, I have NO clue what the courts will send my way with pro bono..... probably civil law, maybe some domestic things, which I would happily accept.... besides divorce. Hate that one......... NO ONE is happy with the outcome. Kim, my son didn't come home at his midnite curfew... I was beside myself...... kept calling his cell phone........ no answer.... that was until 2:00 a.m. this morning when I decided I would do my "investigative" work and drive to his friends homes..... still no son or his car in site. Then I returned home........ called the police, hospitals, etc. at 3:00 a.m. and must have called his cell phone at least 25 TIMES....... Frantic mom.... yeah I was....... FINALLY, at 4:00 a.m. he answered....... needless to say, I am ONE upset and traumatized mother. He has always been dependable before. He "said" he fell asleep at a friend's house, (which I had already done the drive-by at 1:00 a.m.) In any event, you get the nightmare..... driving down country roads, looking off cliffs trying to search for a kiddo. I am an emotional wreck at this point. Tired, exhausted, but yet still made it to work and have dinner in the oven (well..... does left over bbqued pork roast count?) |

| beautiful pic of your daughter rhonda... uh... yeah... as to the sons little all niter... been there.. done that... dont even want to THINK about it... you have my heartfelt empathy on that one lady... GAH! the traumas my daughter caused me... whoa... it was one big BLUR of 4 years which felt like 4 LIFETIMES ... and then when daughter2 decided she would move IN with daughter1 when she reached a couple days before 18... man.. i was just a wreck... stayed a wreck for another year or so after that... jezzzzzzzzzzzzus did daughter1 have some FREAKS for friends back then...(back then HECK,..she STILL has friends that are a bit iffy *L* anywho.... i know I SURE didnt cause that kind of grief for MY parents.. but my eldest sister did... (little sister and i saw the outcome of all that crap and were pretty darn straight and narrow ... why my older sister had no FEAR OF GOD put in her from my dad that he managed to put in ME is puzzling to this day... all i know is that i spent one whole summer of my daughters senior year in the basement of my work... crying ..*L*... while daughter1 seemed OBLIVIOUS to my agony *L*... i used to tell her that HER time will come with HER kids... but i love them so much that i wont even be able to enjoy the torture they can inflict *L*... i DID make sure i taught dider how to roll his eyes as soon as he was able to *big wide grin*... uh HUH! i prided myself on THAT accomplishment *grin* |

| Rhonda - That must have been frightening about your son. 16 year olds are a trial. Adorable pictures of your cute pups and your beautiful daughter.

| Most exhausting experience. I can see many nights of better sleep with my lifestyle. But then again if everybody felt like me the human race would be over in less than a 120 years. Before having a vesectomy I talked to a few friends and relatives whose children were grown and out of the coop. Many things were said, but interestingly one coment was common to all of them, "Raising children is over rated Stephen." I still get to enjoy being around other peoples kids. There was a trio of girls on the bus around your daughters age yesterday and they were way too loud but making happy sounds, singing a song they knew the words too and basiccaly chirping like happy birds. Just delightful. I suspect the mystery of your new work assignments is part of the fun. |

| Thanks Crystal and THANKS for stopping by! I always enjoy your posts Working my butt off today at the office. However, I am not allowing the fact that I am stuck, for the most part, in conference rooms for mediation to limit my water intake. Just have to keep calling for breaks! Hope everyone is enjoying their day ........ more later! |

| Stephen, sorry you forgot to take your meds on time..... I know that can be a very bad thing for you. If you are like me, you probably have a 100 post-its around the house for reminders! Had six chilpote crackers with a spinach dip tonight. About 20 carbs that I could have done without! Don't know what possessed me to buy them at Target, but won't be eating any more of them. (Must have been the word "chilpote!) Had a hamburger with an ounce of cheese (bunless of course) with some green beans for dinner tonight, so maybe the day was a total destruction in eating! Had one of those devil yogurts for breakfast and green beans with some left over pieces of pork roast for lunch. I guess I will survive the cracker episode! |

| Rhonda - I made a great dinner the other day that you would have probably liked (and KIM too). I took a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and too out the peppers and used the adobe sauce as a marinade for chicken drumettes (about 7) then baked themm with the sauce on. used some of the adobo mixed with taco sauce as a base sauce for 2 flour tortilla pizzas. Had pickled jalapenos and cheddar cheese and the sliced chiopotles as toppings. excellent and pretty cheap.

| I went back to the beginning of your journal to see if there was a Texan flower clue. I'm a UT grad - but a Jersey girl. Is the Texas flower the bluebell? Where's the name come from? Just been wondering...
