Rob, that recipe does sound fabulous and never thought of so many uses for the chipolte sauce! Thanks, I will be trying those Kim, the crackers were awesome. Bought them at the local Target. You have one of those there? Kinda like Walmart, but a grade up and more expensive. However, too many carbs for me. Six small crackers was something like 8!

Tina, I lived in Texas for many years.... Texanflowr is what my DH always called me. Yes, the state flower for TX is the bluebell.... very pretty flower and grows wild there. Thanks for stopping by my journal

Hope your weekend is restful. Glad to be staying home myself. Getting some housefwork done durring some movie rescreening.

Yep now two plants are not enough already budjeting for more pots and a couple more coleuses and maybe an ivy.

I hope the new pro bono work flows with the easier traffic. Have a great Sunday!

Hi Stephen and Kim! Yes Kim, that was a large amount of carbs for a "few" crackers so they are history. Gave them to DD1 last night. She was going to make meatballs and needed crackers and those were the only cracker in the house Glad they are gone..... too much temptation some times

TOM is here, so hoping afterwards I will drop another pound or two. Made an eggsalad with some chilpolte and jalepeno olives..... can you say SPICY! Will have that for lunch with some romaine lettuce.

Not eager to go into the office today, but must go and earn a paycheck, so off I go!

Have a great day everyone

Hmm eggslad with chipotle... and jalapeno olives .... does sound good. Have you ever added a little mashed avocado to egg salad? I love that.

Hi Rob, no I haven't ever added avocado to my eggsalad. Will have to try that once I can find avocados that aren't like $1.50 each..... When in TX, I could buy 8 of them for $1.00. Guess I haven't been able to justify the expense here in MO..... maybe I will give myself a treat tho, and buy some next grocery trip

Wow..I was surprised to hear the bluebell was the State flower of Texas. I would have guessed the Yellow Rose! (I love learning something new every day! Never know when you might get a chance to be on Jeopardy and will need these little bits of trivia!)

Bought a present for myself this weekend....... a Schwinn stationary bike. It was a chunk of change, but I WILL use it religously! Did seven miles yesterday on it. Of course, I need to tighten up the tension later on, but can still feel the burn in my calves today, so its a good thing.

Breakfast was l/c yogurt again.... lunch romaine with egg salad. Drinking my water today as I am so bad about that on the weekends... dinner.... probably just a grilled bunless hamburger with melted cheese and some sour cream.

Seven miles on the bike - that's pretty impressive! I'm sure that you'll log in many more miles in the future....

Great news about the bike. But pace up over time so you don't hurt something, or blow out your enthusiasm. I really like mine but haven't gotten into a daily regemin yet, but I will! Great for cardio stamina.

Stephen!!! My dear friend So nice to have you visit me in my absence from you. A "true friend".

This case I am working on kick my B*** today. I am totally exhausted....... besides the deliminas of the home life. Was up until 2:00 a.m. this morning preparing for this thing and still no resolution to it, so looks like I am going to trial next week. Oh okay, more billable hours for the firm! Yeah, I am sooooooo happy about that ...

On a brighter note, rode the bike 7 miles tonight, even thought my legs feel like lead........ lost two pounds this morning after TOM, but let's see if I still see it a few days from now. So close to my "original" goal, but thinking ......... just perhaps another 10 pounds after that. Want to find my "comfort" zone.

Anyway, exhausted. Forgive me for not posting in journals tonight but my bed is calling my name........... too bad NOT some "significant other"!

That comfort zone is a tricky thing. As a general rule those of us with mental illness usually advise each other to keep a good ten pounds of flab on us just in case of a heavy depression, where we can end up under eating and going into a vitamin deficientcy that could land us in the psych ward.

What feels good can become confused with what we think would look good, silly comparisons to the weight we were when 19 years old etc. When close to target it seems to me strength and endurrance is most important to finding that goal weight. As far as looks, I've seen your picture, and if i lived closer I would be chasing you around the block every night. So comfort is indeed the only zone you need worry about.

What wisdom you have dear Stephen........ and, if you lived closer, we would both get our exercise in by running around the blocks That was sweet of you to say..... you are, indeed, endearing. Have a great day Stephen!

Good luck at work today. I enjoy reseaching into the wee hours of the night, but the repercussions the next day can be heck. Although a tired mind sometimes is a more measured and practical mind so there is variety to what the next day may bring.

Rhonda - Walmart usually has avocados for 88 cents, at least here. And there's one store (ALDI) that has them sometimes 2 for $1.
