Vickie, you are so welcomed and indeed it is my pleasure if I can inspire or help you in any way. I remember almost a year ago when I began this WOL, Rob and Kim were so very supportive to me, not only with this WOE, but with personal issues I was dealing with as well. It is important, I think, for new people to see the ones who have stuck around, and not only the ones who try it for a few months and then fall off into the abess. Leaves newbies to wonder if this WOL can truly be a sucess in the longterm. We all struggle with food issues from time to time.... otherwise, we would never have allowed ourselves to be what we once were. The important thing I have learned is even if I do dare indulge in something off plan, I must remember it was MY own choice and with it comes the consequences. However, this is a WOL, not a temporary eating plan, so no major harm done. Before this WOL, I am certain I was consuming 200 plus carbs per day and thinking nothing of it. Now, each thing that goes into my mouth I am accountable for.... and I always THINK it thoroughly through before it passes my lips. I have learned NOT to be a compulsive eater like I once was. To me, that is the true secret in keeping me ontrack.

Some really great wisdom there, Rhonda! It does mean so much to to hear from the folks that have stuck to LC for a long period of time...helps to keep me committed to the 'right' choices for this WOL.

Rhonda - Never let anyone tell you you are not complete. Don't tell yourself that ever. You are a fully function human unit and I think a very strong person. It hasn't been an easy year but you pulled through with flying colors.

Check my journal - I found a link.

Hard times are also interesting times. They come and go and we are often much stronger, confident and mature afterwards. At least it seems that way to me.

Low carbing is often a life saver. Believe me I know. Strokes are not fun. But a good steak is.

    FrannyGlass,
Is your avatar a picture from a film?

i hope you feel better now rhonda..
i agree with rob... but he PUT it so beautifully.. as to when you bend a way that isnt right for you.. it could be BREAKING...(paraphrased horribly i suppose *L*)

i agree with katie... i WISH i knew what it was like to worry about getting TOO thin... (aint gonna happen *L*)

if you dont feel like eating ... make sure you keep that water going... and then be EXTRA careful about eating REALLY good choices when you DO eat!

i eat popcorn from time to time when moon makes it for movies... but not alot of it... and i dont have REAL coke with it like i used to in the old days *L*

right now? i'm scarfing down chipotle beef and greenbean stuff with a bit of shredded pepperjack in it... YUM! .. that chipotle that you get for us is SOOOOOOOOOOOO wonderful!

as for inspiration? awwwwwwwwwww kiddo... you've paid ANY and all you have taken... in SPADES! but thanks for the kind words..;-)

having your child tell you that you look much younger than you are is a HUGE complement... take it and run with it !*L*

You guys are all so wonderful! Rob, I will remember that I am complete all by myself. Thanks for your kind words and for finding me that link!

The cold is getting better. Took a cold reliever with a sleep aide last night, so wasn't up coughing as much as I would have been. Only dare take a sleep aide when all the kiddos are home safely in bed. The life of a mother raising teenagers!

Have a great week everyone. Off to go and make some money so I can pay the bills!

Kim, thanks. This flu bug or whatever is horrible! I guess I should have taken my flu shot. Woke up all congested again today and TOM came, so I am one happy camper!

Was snowing here yesterday and the driving was miserable for a few hours. Thinking I am going to have to trade the T-bird in and get a front wheel drive if I am to continue to live here. Traction was NOT good in a V-8 sports car without front wheel drive.

Anyway, up early to finish up cleaning the kitchen before I leave for the office. Didn't have the energy last night to finish up the dishes after the kiddos had their snacks after dinner. Hope everyone has a great day!

Rhonda - 4 wheel drive is essential if you live in an area with a lot of snow. Even here where some winters we don't get any snow accumlation a 4 wheel drive auto is nice to have. when it snows they're the only vehicles making it up my steep hill that is the only way out of my condo. And since we get so little snow our city has about 3 plows. It's often 3 or 4 days before they plow the street here. HAve a good over the hump day.

Hi Rhonda! Just stopped by to say hi to a few of the old gang. Sorry to hear you are a little under the weather. I always catch whatever is going around during this time of year.
Hey I'll be glad to trade my '95 Ford for your T-bird, it's great in the snow!
