Wow Kim - Those glacier pictures are absolutely beautiful! I envy you gettin g to spend so much time in such beauty. A friend of mine went on one of those cruises to Alaska. She was awed by the beauty. Course she saved up for a couple years to go. NOT cheap.

shim... it doesnt hurt to count the calories as long as you arent obsessive about it *L*.. yeah.. like THATS gonna happen *L*..
glad ya had fun with the kiddo... i am going to enjoy hangin out with my son for a change..

robby... yeah... well.. there is beauty all around us if we take the time to look eh? those pictures of tanglewood park are PERFECT examples..
i sure am FORTUNATE to have relatives IN alaska... so my out of pocket expenses are pretty small (cept or shopping of course *L*)

we DO have a giant bottle that we throw money in all the time (change) and i always say it is for our trip to the BAHAMAS *L*...not very darn likely... but maybe SOMEday..

off to clean out the silly winnebago..:-( i have put it off long enough...

come to think of it rob.. i am pretty lucky all the way around.. relatives in boston.. alaska.. arizona .. heck.. i have alot of the COOL locations covered *L*..(although while older sister finally headed to boston yesterday from anchorage (heh heh MAJOR cold windy yuck weather that is TOTALLY unexpected ..20 degrees below normal) i have never made it to boston yet.. maybe next year.. or later THIS year.. who knows.. i am such a globetrotter all of a sudden *LOL*

So when you come to Boston, we'll have an LC get together!! And, you're right about the weather. It is sucky in A GRAND WAY! Everyone is in a bad mood.

KIm _ okay I posted a while ago to your journal and now it isn't here. Well I never really waited around to see if it took. But cheez!. Too bad because i had attached a $50 bill to it.

Isn't alaska pretty expensive for most things (food clothing etc?).

rob.. is that kinda like the CHECK is in the mail..
alaska where HE lives can be spendy .. because of it being on an island.. heck.. think its expensive where my sister is too...
i usually go out to eat at a nice resturaunt with a view once or twice in 2 weeks... take the son and his family... so it can be a few bucks *L*.. but mostly i take the grandkiddos to micky d's or subway..(yes dammit even THEY have those things. .. my town DOESNT) otherwise the son pops for everything... except shopping.. but you can buy EXPENSIVE anywhere... i look for what i reaaaaaaaaaaaallly love..or buy sales..since their weather is different than here.. i can usually get good sales ...
i have never filled a gas tank there.. no clue what THAT costs..

guess with being there for at LEAST two months.. i will find out a bit more what it is like moneywise ...

or not..

Your photos are awesome! My nephew and his family went on a cruise to Alaska and had a wonderful trip. I would love to see the whales, you'll be there at the right time. Have a great summer there with your family, I'm sure they can't wait for you guys to be there!

thanks! ya know.. i have NEVER seen a whale in alaska with all the times i have been there..*L*... daughter2 went on a whale watching tour and saw them... (i did see em in oregon.. but that doesnt count *L*..
yes... son is pretty happy that we are coming up for longer than our usual couple of weeks..(although i have done three weeks myself) it will also give me and my husband time together... away from work .:-)
where did your nephews cruise stop?

well... actually it LOOKS brown in that shot... but if you go to my blog you will see that depending on the shot.. my hair will look ORANGE or brown or red..and many other shades in between.... *L*.. i use a color called CHERRY CORDIAL.. not sure who makes it..
new pics in the blog i just posted.. check out the colors there *L*
another thing.. i think my hair looks long today...
cell phone cam doesnt always take quality shots *L*

if you scroll down.. i think that the pic of me on my four wheeler is about the CLOSEST to what i BELIEVE my hair looks like... especially in the sun... i take alot of my pics in my bedroom...near a window... so depending on the SUN or lack thereof..the color seems to change drastically in the pictures..*L*...

okay... made it through another day.. day three coming to an end of the challenge... had bacon ..bit of babies egg.. green beans... grilled chicken .. salad mix (no dressing) and some sharp cheddar cheese... water... green tea... sea salt.. ACV... supplements/vitamins ... too much devil coffee...
might have some vegetable later...

oh... and i had two energy drinks... one sobe adrenaline rush.. one sobe energy in the bottle ...

ok this might sound strange....but I find it really comforting when you post your food for the day Kim...I have no idea why...isn't that strange? Or maybe the better question is...aren't I strange?? *L*

heck no ..its not strange at all shim... things that other people post help me the most...
my before and DURING pics blow ME away too *L*

i dont like to post things i eat for a couple of reasons..
a. its BORING to me..
b. everyones metabolism is so different i hate to give someone the COMPARISON to drive themselves crazy with *L*
c. if i dont eat a HEALTHY mix of things .. i dont want to give newbies the wrong impression..

that being said... sometimes i feel like i NEED to see exactly what i AM eating...
