Awesome on the first word...that is so much fun when they start talking! I would say resetting the bowling pins 100X would count as a workout!!!

okay,.... this is NOT fair.. you let us WATCH elana GROW UP before our very eyes... and you didnt make a MIDI or WAV of her saying her first WORD? I AM CRUSHED ! *L*...okay... i am also a freak... but thats neither here nor there..

how cool tho eh? and it is suppositly easier for babies to say D's than m's which is why they USUALLY say da da before MA MA..

or at least that is what they USED to tell ME when i had babies..

of course..maybe they were just trying not to hurt my feelings ,,,*grin*

Thought I'd pop in and share a story from today that gave me some enlightenment that many have tried to tell me...but for some reason it "clicked" finally.

I took one of my favorite old men outside for some fresh air/sunshine this morning. We were sitting there talking and he was swatting the flies away. One landed on my knee...and it went something like this:

He said..."fly is on your knee now"

I said..."quit looking at my legs!!"

He said...."I don't look at you for what you look like, I look at you for what you are. That's why I love ya so much"

I said...."You're such a charmer"

He said...."No, most women don't understand that men want you for who you are. Your body is simply icing on the cake that is only sweetened by what you stand for in life and who you are. While women think they aren't attractive, we see your soul and that is what we love and cherish."

In that instant I realized a lot about myself, the people who love me and what I must do to them when I put myself down.

Enjoy the compliment...and the newfound knowledge...we are off to the beach tomorrow! I can't wait! I love the beach and so does my sister and daughter!

OH MY GOD!!!

So...I just went to the grocery store. As I'm walking up to the register, this guy is walking past me..we make eye contact. He says "You're gorgeous" and grins ear to ear. Then, as he passes me he looks back "and you smell wonderful!!"

Did I get oggled?!?!?!?!

So....here is me today....I CANNOT BELIEVE this is me!! The woman who HATES to have pics taken!
