    Tom:

The green cars are pretty cool. Sorry to say, that's the most intelligent comment I can make on the car front. Wanted to see how your workouts were going; mine are going pretty well this week.

Well, been pretty busy shoveling out the garage and getting 2 of our other vehicles tinted. Been really busy. Didn't make my Friday gym date and missed both my hamster wheel session and gym yesterday. So today got in my cardio and going to the gym in about 2 hours. I'm just off a day on this weeks rotation. Thanks on the cars. They will be His & Hers when we get done. Looking at personal plates of some significance (sp?) I'm glad you've been well with your WO. You have far more tenacity than I do. Probelms for me are to balance getting to the gym and getting my place straightened up to work on this car. By the time I get home from the gym it is just enough time to eat and spend some quality time with DW. Plus we are in the middle of a heat wave again. Getting back up to the high 100's again. At least it's not hitting 120 again. Whew!

Busy day at work today. That was good. Busy always makes the day go faster. Did gym tonight. Off a day on my schedule. Just finished dinner. Grilled Tuna Steak, salad and a handfull of hot cherry peppers. Mmmm.
Gonna watch a DVD with DW now.

Oh, Thanks for the welcome Kim
And Shelley, I understand I used to be into muscle cars when I was younger. Did some drags. Not much. I moved over to off-road racing at 18. Been doing it for 30 years now. Raised 2 kids up thru it. A Goat or 442 would be nice.

    Thanks GeeGee!

Had a good Hampster session this AM. The scale was REALLY nice to me. Down to 207 & measured BF of 23.7%. I am starting to feel the intensity of my WO's in my old joints. May have to lower my intensity and go for longer time or flip that. High intensity for short bursts. Hmmm. Made a batch of "Mock Danish" The other night. Put some flaxmeal in some. VERY filling. Mot sure if we're making them right, but they sure are good. DW likes the precooked version (mix). Loves to clean out the bowl and a couple spoonfulls here and there.

Mmmmm...Mock Danish...love that stuff. Really kept my spirits up in the early days of switching to LC.

Whew! Haven't been able to post here for awhile. Been busy all weekend working on the new car. Also have been working on DW's M/W oven. we took it apart and washed all the gunk out of it. I even power washed it. Looks good now. However during all this we messed up the keyboard. :( A new one on order today. Until it comes in gotta use a jumper wire and read which pins to touch on a table/sheet I made up. Kinda funny. You really don't know how dependant on those things ou are until you don't have it. Making good progress on the car. Keeping my mind busy so I haven't eaten much. Haven't even looked at the scale. Tomorrow it is back on schedule for gym & cardio. Got to remember to bring some more Mock danish for breakfast. After the gym tomorrow picking up some shirataki noodles for dinner. Yum Yum! Going to use ground pork in the sauce this time.

The shirataki noodles sound like an adventure, but I haven't tried them yet. I can't believe that you're doing all of that with a microwave - is it a microwave oven? I don't even know what a jumper wire is

They don't make that model of M/W anymore. It is a over the stove hood version. To replace it would cost about $600. So a little work is worth it. Not that much work for me. My interests and profession (Electronics) make it a reasonable task.

Haven't posted in the journal in a couple days.
Had a great W/O last night but still noticing pain in my left knee after WO. May have to accept that I will have to alter my WO to lower some of the stresses on my knees. The muscles can easily handle it but not my old joints. Way too many years of off-road motorcysle racing. May have to shift to a higher ratio of bike vs eliptical trainer.
Had our shirataki spaghetti last night. It was great!
Tonight, DW and I are going to see "The Brothers Grimm" Looks interesting and fun. Heard from mother today. Her money pit of a car is broken again. There goes some of my play money again. As usual when things are going good...

Kim, my "over the stove" microwave went out a year ago......... I can't bear to replace a stove that works because the micro doesn't. Needless to say, there is a microwave sitting on my countertop taking up "valuable" space there, but one must do what one must do with a budget. Moon can fix anything! Read ALL your journals from front to back. LET'S HEAR IT FOR MOON!

Sorry, I haven't checked here in the last couple of days...

Fran- Thanks for the encouragement. :great:

Kim- The M/W was working fine until we decided to clean it all up inside. (We had some ants find their way up through one of our walls into it) While cleaning we caused some damage to the "touch panel" keyboard. DW has a new one on order. It will only take a couple of minutes to install it.
    - On the Shirataki Noodles, I found them at an Asian Market near my gym. Doesn't look like they get much in though. I may exhaust their stock soon. Then I'll have to find another market. This one works out well. They are on the way home from the gym. So we do "spaghetti" on either M, W or F.

Texanflowr- That's what DW says about me as well. I'm glad to be there for her. But she gets really goes over the edge sometimes knowing that I will/can get her out of the hole she has dug.

Over the weekend worked mostly on the new toy. Got the motor and stuff done. I went to vacuum out the carpet and it was never ending. So I pulled it out. Whew! I found at least 1/2 inch of sand under the carpet. :( On the bright side I did find $2.50 in change down there:great:
It was gorgeous weather out this weekend. I worked so much on the car, didn't even think much about food. The scale showed it this morning. 208 down from 210 last week.
DW and I went to Applebees last night. Got the Riblets (plain or course) They are pretty good w/o sauce. It was AYCE, so we brought some home for lunches. Mmmm.
    Happy exercising all!!

OK Rhonda. Yeah I'm glad you have a hand man around. None of my kids are married yet. Both daughters still call dad when the car breaks. :( I love being needed but it always happens at the most unacceptable time.
On the ribs, I found out that most resturants don't put the sauce on them until they're ready to be served. I get whole racks. You'd be surprised how good most of these ribs are without the sauce. My other favorite thing to get at applebees is the buffalo wings with a small Sante Fe chicken salad (hold the chips) DW and I can't stand Carl's burgers. I like the concept but for some reason we just could never get into the flavor of thier meats. To us the burgers almost tasted like they had grain fillers. Their nutrition info doen't say anything, so maybe we just don't like them, period. To each their own. Las vegas has an abundance of bar & grilles. And they have cheap food. At one we can get 2 for one dinners Which comes to about $15 for the pair of us. Applebees actually is one of the more expensive establishments we go to. You got to pay extra to get a salad. That sucks when you tell them to hold all the rest of the stuff and then still have to pay for the salad.
On the noodles, there is a thread here by Maggie I think. It covers cooking them and all. Extremely easy to work with. One thing I learned was when you rinse the noodles also rinse out the bag they come in. Or else you'll have every cat within 10 miles climbing your trash can. I seems that they are only available in tru asian markets. I can barely figure out where they are. Everything is written in Chinese.

Edit: OK now you've got me confused as heck! Your sig and screen name says kim but you said Rhonda. What Up???
