31!! thanks guys. I'm trying so hard. I dreamed about food last night. and seriously, I would eat a bite of something and then cry about how it wasn't even worth it! and then eat a bite and cry about having to post that I couldn't do it! it was ridiculous. Today I took Theo to the park to play with friends, and we stopped at Sonic on the way home. YAYE Sonic for having diet sprite, but argh. I about died wanting to eat a couple tater tots!! Got home, put him down for nap and got some sausage and saurkraut going! yum!!
Now I'm going to take a shower, rest a bit myself and drink some more water!!

Today-day 36!!! woohoo!! my count got pretty off when I was on vacation!
I'm still hanging in there with the water and the food. It gets hard sometimes, but mostly it's going well.
Weighed this morning, even though I said I wouldn't! 167.2!!!! But I'm not changing signature until Friday...since I'm not suppose to be weighing!

oops, changed sig this morning. 167.8 (bc I weighed again! oops...)
Day 37. Starting out rough. Boss infuriated me, drank a diet 7up instead of water. I need to finish 2 24 ozers by lunch to feel like I can get all four in. So far I've had about 4 oz. :(
k, poured some down...
Had quiche for bfast (and coffee) 5+2=7
lunch is sausage and sauerkraut=7ish
dinner...no idea. ham sandwich maybe on sugar free bread=16
30 total that would be good.

38. I'm having a down day. Eating great, only 1 more 24 oz water to go. I just feel down. Like I might cry any minute. I think about Theo moving on and that makes me sad. I'm irritated with 90% of the people I work with. Sucks to have to lose that same 25 lbs TWICE!
I'm going to fitday now to see what I've done today...

You're doing great, Heather. Is Theo your foster child?

Hey, I lost the same 25 pounds twice, too. This time, we're KEEPING it off!

He's been blessed to have you as much as you've been blessed by him.

I picked a mini-goal too: in the 'teens by Thanksgiving......

Again, thanks for the support. Theo and I have really had a good time.
YOU CAN DO IT, Maxi!!! if, I mean WHEN I hit 165 before next Thursday, I'm going to make a new Christmas goal. It is a WHOLE month! I'm going bold...155! and adding exercise to the challenge. SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY!! (now I have that Westside Story song stuck in my head!!)

Copied from 100 days thread:
The other thing I am going to eliminate is those stupid bars!!! I've been "rewarding" myself at night with the low carb bars, I think they are Carb Options, peanut butter crunch or something. They taste just like Butterfinger candy bars!!! I think they are not helping me and may even be hurting me. SO...
Starting in the morning (tonight on the bars) I am eating ONLY REAL FOOD. no LC junk, no coffee/cream, no "extras" like nuts and whatnot, for the next week. I want to do a cleaning out for the last week of the Thanksgiving challenge. I think I let the little bit of cream and a few nuts, etc get away from me and I want to be more diligent about counting. Going to copy this to journal to remind self...

ok, so there is NO REASON I shouldn't be able to get to 165 by Thanksgiving. I am going to:
1. Eat real food. no LC products, or extras, counting EVERYTHING. - I think this means a trip to the grocery tonight or in the morning.
2. WATER WATER WATER, keep it up!
3. Green tea, twice each day
4. Some kind of exercise. Even if it is just a little bit! I have GOT TO get going on this!

Hi Heather: Just popped in to say you're going great. Good idea to stop the bars. I got hooked on them too and ran into a huge plateau in losing.

I was a foster parent too so I know what you are going through. It's so sad to see them moving on, but sometimes it's better for the child. Good for you for giving them a place to stop on their journey.

I don't want to sound sappy here, but I want to commend you both, Heather and Donna...for being foster parents. It's a huge challenge that brings both pain and rewards, I'm sure. Bless you both (and all other foster parents) for, as Donna put it: "giving them a place to stop on their journey."

Also, Heather...I've found too, that the bars are for "emergency use only". You're right, cutting a little here and there: a splash of cream, a teaspoon of butter, a few nuts...will cut calories and help you make your Christmas goal.
I've found with cutting out dairy, I don't have to skimp as much on those things. We have to find balance somehow and it sounds like you are!

Have a good weekend.

Thanks, Donna and Maxi, it is hard, but also very rewarding. Not sure when/if I'll get another after Theo...

Had another stupid bar last night. I won't be buying those again. Apparently I can't have them in the house! Haven't had any coffee or cream since, oh wait, had some half and half at church yesterday...oops. But have been having PLENTY of green tea, and water, so I think it's ok. Also, decided to drink 24 oz of tea each day, then I only have to drink 3 24 ozers of water! right? RIGHT!

new fave meal: Tuna boats! Tuna salad, w/ tuna, mayo, egg, sf relish placed inside large romaine lettuce leaves taco style. drizzle of ranch dressing as desired. YUM!!!
