Thanks!
so, today is day 47, and I am getting ready for the rest of the weekend and the week to come. I made tuna this morning, and plan to have tuna boats and lc fajitas for the rest of the weekend! I need to get some eggs to make quiche before Monday. Maybe this afternoon I'll run by the store.
wow. I might even get crazy and go look again at the treadmills. If there are any super special shopping freak deals I might just get one. My brother is here, so he could help me get it in the house! hhhmmmm, just a thought...

so, my last two entries say "today is 47" and "tomorrow is 47". WHAT??? anyway, I think today, Saturday, is 48. we'll see monday. Anyway, saw 167.2 today, going to see what the scale says tomorrow...
We're going to the tree farm with our friends to cut their tree. We have an artificial because I think my dog would think it too much like outside, and just because I do. Anyway, we're going for the fun.

Sounds like a lot of fun, Heather! We have an artificial because we are both hung up on "perfect", and we wanted a "mall tree". I'm going to buy another artificial tree if I can afford it this year, since when we get our own house, we plan to put a tree in almost every room.

I used to love going to the tree farm when I lived in Los Angeles, because the smell was phenomenal!

I've cut my own tree down before. It's fun - well all except the actual cutting down part. But it's the choosing and getting it home that made it seem like an old fashioned Christmas. Now I have a 2 foot tall predecorated tree that I put one string of lights on. at my age it's more than enough.

hahaha, Rob, that's kind of how I am. I got it up, got the lights on. No ornaments. But you know...I don't think I'm going to put them on. it's so pretty with just the lights and pine cones that came on it. just simple.

Feeling good today. Forgot to weigh, so I did so after eating an omlet and drinking a bunch of tea and I was still at 168.4. So I KNOW I'm a couple lower.

LOL@ Rob....you always make yourself sound like an old geezer. Puhleeeeze!

I have an 8 yr. old daughter, so we have to have a tree....but where will we put it? We've had it in the den with the french doors, so we could keep the cat from climbing it, but now we have the home gym in there, so there's not much room left. Maybe we'll move the couch out of there and move the gym over....I've gotta figure out something so DD can have a tree and we can keep "Tinkerbell" out of trouble. (Tinkerbell is a deceptively sweet name for a very rambunctious, curious, mischevious cat!)

My tree is usally decorated in chili pepper lights and southwest ornaments.....we may do something different this year.

Heather, maybe you should've started a "What's with your tree?" thread! LOL

BTW-good going with the weight!

Hi everyone! Glad to hear about everyone's different tree preferences! Thanks for all the congrats, too. It really helps me to stay on track, focused and determined. I think tomorrow is day 50! If that's right...HALF WAY THERE! I just don't know how I'm going to get through Christmas and New Years, but at the same time, I don't know how I could NOT!

WOO HOO! half way there! this morning's pumpkin thing was GREAT! and I have fajitas for lunch. Drank 24 oz of green tea this morning and I'm on my second bottle of water. Just one more of those to go and I'm done for the day! I think we are eating at home all week because my budget is all messed up! We just got paid last Wednesday and I'm broke! I don't know how that happened! Actually I do, we did a lot this weekend, and this is the mortgage paycheck. oh well, we'll just be frugal until next Thursday.

I'm going to break my arm patting myself on the back. We went to Target to get ANOTHER set of blinds that probably won't fit! :( and at the check out (you know, where they always gitcha!) I saw some of those "just break apart the pieces and bake" cookies. Actually, Theo saw them. "I uhna cookies!!!" ok, we'll get them! So we did. and we made them. He ate some of the dough, cried while they cooked and cooled and then ate one and half (and cried some more because I'm so mean I wouldn't let him eat ALL of them!)
I DIDN'T EAT EVEN ONE!!! I did lick my fingers a couple of times, but since I only had some tuna and cucs for dinner, I know I was ok.
The whole house smelled like homemade cookies and I wrapped them up to take to work tomorrow. SO SO SO proud of self!!!!

You are a candidate for sainthood, Heather. Anyone who can resist the aroma of fresh baked cookies is amazing to me. I would've probably had one and tried to justify it as "I only ate one!" (Like I did with the roll on Thanksgiving!)

Way to go on making it halfway. You CAN make it all the way.

Great job resisting the cookies, Heather. I thought about buying some of those for Austin, and just baking him 2 at a time and storing the unbaked cookies in a zip-lock bag in the fridge. I used to do that to make fresh baked cookies for us, so as long as I did it in the afternoon when it wouldn't torture DH I could probably do it.

Your tree sounds so pretty! I can't wait to get my new tree and get it set up.
