O hey Bert! I'm with Franny on this one! Absolutely - SWING is the only way to go!!! Love the sounds of the highlights. I agree - neither shopping nor eating are best choices for the bored! Its easy too see why older people do sink into nothingness eh. Got to get up and at 'em -no one will do it for us that's for sure! Love your attitude though!

Franny, Maybe swinging would be a hobby for you... any hobby would be good to replace refrigerator surfing.. refrigerator surfing... glad that can't be done by remote!!

Fox, This one older folk that will not sink into nothingness... can't loose that last 15 lbs let alone sink into nothingness. I'm fighting this aging thing to the bitter end...that's a good one to the "END"

Hair turned out pretty good very subtle.. she lightened the dark hair and put carmel highlights in. So subtle DH didn't notice Or maybe he did and he is being subtle

Had lunch with friends after the hair conversion, not good. The available items were not good. The rest of the day has been pretty good. Tomorrow is another day.

Weds. I purchased a new digital camera. I have figured out how to get it out of the box., that's a plus!! Tried to take a picture last night without reading the instructions... that didn't work. Next step, read the instructions or at least look at the pictures in the manual.

Had the annual blood work done this a.m. Cholestrol was 178. A year ago it was 198, I must be doing something right. Everything else was fine..need all the reassurance I can get.

I've got to do some tweaking on my WOE... .... and committment .... and exercise...
maybe I need some silk jammies that should give an incentive for something.

OMG - someone else who mucks with the techo gear before reading instructions! I'm always in trouble for that!

O definitely - go the silk jammies Bert! Just the feel of them is huge incentive! (or something!)

Got a camera cell phone 2 years ago, when she was 12...she had it programmed and was taking pictures with it in the car ride home from Circuit City!! I didn't even know how to turn the stupid thing ON!! Even though she HATES to admit it...she is EXACTLY like her FATHER!...total tech nerd.

Bought DH a Hi-Definition TV last year; I can barely use the stupid thing because I am completely stymied by the frackin' universal remote. I would never buy these gadgets for myself, but I suppose if I was alone, I'd actually take the time to read the manual and figure things out. But with the NERD Squad runnin' the show around here, I just let 'em point me in the direction I need to go and spend my time doing things that I prefer to do.

heh heh.. exACTly.. if i HAD to.. i WOULD try to figure those things out... but with the geeky daughter2 and moon... i'm with YOU.. got BETTER things to do with my time than read manuals and directions *L*

daughter2 let me struggle with typing EACH and EVERY letter and symbol to post gifs several million years ago when i first started in on NBA chat rooms... (for those of you who dont know... if you get ONE blippin letter or symbol wrong you get ZILCH..)
she musta had a GOOD laugh at her dorky ma for quite a while before someone in the chat told me about CLICK AND PASTE..*L*

    brat... she's STILL a brat..*L*

Well, I have moved into the next step...I turned on the camera, read instructions on putting the date in...AND put the date in!! Everyone impressed so far?? That was today's progress. I'm expecting to accomplish much more tomorrow. The instructions say to load the software in the computer before you do anything.... perhaps I can figure that one out tomorrow..

LOL...funny story Kim...our children certainly do torture us when they get the chance! But then, I get the chance to turn on the 'Mother Guilt'..."I carried you inside for NINE MONTHS...LOOK at these stretch marks and spider veins...YOU destroyed my body, so YOU can at least help me change the stinkin' channel!!" Works like a charm!!

Good Luck Bert...will light the Novena candles...who is the Patron Saint of digital cameras anyway??
