Bert - You sound liek me 2 weeks ago when i first got my digital camera. It does get easier. I can now take some pictures that aren't out of focus. lol
I even learned on thursday, after owning the camera for almost 2 weeks, that it takes movies. accidentally turned it to the movie stting and was shocked to find a movie on there. I thought i was taking photos of my dogs. But there was a 30 second movie. amazing.

Bert - are you sure you loaded the software correctly? Maybe try an uninstall and a reinstall? I answered your cheescake question in my journal a minute ago.

Today... Monday.... the first day of the rest of my life ...Eating on plan....first time for a while that I have actually eaten two meals in a row on plan. Then I wonder why that last 15 (or more) lbs won't go away. On plan and on portion control... my weight watcher DS says it's all about portion control..

Going to walk to post office and the drug store... that should be good for a mile or two. Brought the weights in out of the motor home, where they have been for a month. Good grief, that means it's been a month since I have done weights. I haven't been to the gym... guess I'll be ready for Halloween with my bat wings.

So busy.... gotta do the walk and not just the talk... then drive to Walmart.. should walk it's 15 miles that would make up for the exercise I've been missing.

Tomorrow I have to get some more painting done.. want to do the Amityville Horror windows in the attic... I'm going to do them in 3 colors... that should get DH going.

Weds... off to Arkansas to the lake with our camping buddies. DH is getting furnace in motorhome fixed today. Sure hope they can fix it... might be a tad chilly.

Enough, enough, enough, I can certainly spend a lot of time procrastinating...

Berta:

I think for me, basically after I had lost the significant portion of the weight I needed to lose, it was about portion control. The last 20 pounds or so that I lost before reaching goal I closely watched portions and calories in addition to carbs. Even today, I am cautious of eating more than what I have grown accustomed to in the last year, and that includes portions as well. The Amityville windows sound lovely! I did so like that first movie Amityville Horror.... but then again, I was a teenager when that came out so maybe that was the reason? What part of the country do you live?

Absolutely with the Flower on this one! Portion control is a high priority for me too! Exercise is my key though - I'm sure of it now. Those windows sound VERY adventurous Bert! Love to see them. You have a FURNACE in your MOTORHOME? LA - it must be a whopping vehicle! Batwings for halloween

texanflow'r.... I live in Kansas. Thanks for the words about portion control... I know that's my problem.. besides if I have one bite of sugar, it's binge city..so it's been up and down the scale gaining and losing 5 or 6 lbs. and never taking care of that next 15 (or more)
Beach, Motorhome: furnace, central heat, air conditioning, 2 tv. microwave 37 feet long, queen size bed, 2 slide outs.... our home away from home. We live in it full time 3 months of the year when we go to south TX Jan thru Apr. We would love to full time RV, but we have rental properties and DH is in poor health.. so we do what we can do when we can do it. NOTE: If batwings keep going, I can fly and sell the motorhome

LyAy - what a motorhome Bert! We have lots of older people doing this sort of thing - we call them Grey Nomads http://www.theage.com.au/articles/20...?from=storyrhs

I did all my nomading when I was a youngster! I guess my preferred lifestyle now is mixin it with governments - this is how I feel I have a stake in the future! (probably just like hasslin them if the truth be known!) Although I do like supporting our young artists too - because their work is important.

There are advantages to being old...

I have a son living in Austin & my mom lives in KC.

Interesting how so many of us are connected through geography & low carb.

Beach, they call the people who travel to Arizonia for the winter "snow birds"

the ones traveling to TX for the winter are "winter texans"

The people who are driving behind them call them lots of names.

It's great that you have the government to harass, I've not found anything to get involved in since I quit working. Just as long as the brain still functions and the bod keeps movin' for about another 40 years or so....perhaps someday I'll find a cause or something to pursue ...
