Oh, Thank you, Brenda, it worked!!!! other than a few bruises from the shove, I am fine. I did the elliptical, lifted free weights and did some weight machines!!! Please feel free to push me around any time!!!![]()
Will do! Wow, you have a full routine going.
I don't have a gym membership right now, darn it (Christmas present?), but I did weights here at home with body bars today. Squats, pecs, biceps, triceps, shoulders, lunges, as well as some yoga. It felt good, but I sadly note how out of shape I am compared to only a couple of years ago. Still, never too late.

Bren: I found that just a couple of months while on vacation and family here.. I went AWOL.. I lost a lot of strength. I was able to leg press a little over 200 lbs and now can only do 168.. so it just doesnt take long. I do 3 days of weights and machines.. working different parts of the body each day.. and then do the cardio.. I really want to do cardio more than I do .. it's so boring.
168 is still fab, Bert! Sounds like you'll be back in form soon. (Just in time for more holidays and family, right?)
I'm with you on cardio being boring. I'd so much rather do weights, yoga, ANYTHING ELSE. I do enjoy walking, but that's a weather permitting thing. I SO miss my gym membership. Well, no more couch potatoette for me. You'll be my inspiration, girl!!

So much for my 2nd day in a row for exercise... 10 minutes on the treadmill at home.
Worked 2 or more hours on next May's BIG alumni reunion. Thank God for computers... if I had to make phone calls for all of those details it would have taken all day.
Went to the Red Hat meeting. It was great. We went to a little emphasis on little restuarant in a teeny, tiny little town about 35 miles away. She does specials for folks, but is normally only open in the evenings. For our afternoon she turned it into a tea room. Lovely little tables with lace table cloths, candles and beautiful tea cups.. for our "High Tea". Rasberry, white pear and orange mandarin were the choices of the day. There were many finger foods... that were irresitible and I didn't resist. Shame...(head hung low, but with a smile).. There were so many decorations, antique dishes, items from the local Presbyterian Church..that she incorporated into her decor. All in all, a delightful afternoon. (yanno if you're doing High Tea, delightful is the correct word![]()
Indeed Bert - if one is doing High Tea - delightful is the precise word! I LOVE H/t! DS and I have H/T on Saturday afternoons at his house. We have a small setting on one of the verandahs at the Chapel - DELIGHTFUL! Its actually not an Aussie but a Brit custom - Xl always insisted on it on Sunday afternoons. Aussies just call it 'afternoon smoko'.
Bert????

Ohhh, Bren, So much pressure, I couldn't get up
Visited Branson for the weekend and had a great time. We saw Shoji Tubji, the Japanese Fiddler, it was a marvelous show. This made the 4th time we have been to this show.
DH did prettty well, resting between ventures. He is to be admired..doesn't feel well, but keeps on going.
Don't ask about me... dreading the scales... my sister 14 years younger and her husband were there for the weekend.. she fights her weight too.. and asked at my age haven't I learned yet??? She thinks that as you get older you get smarter.. guess not in my case!!
Another day, up drinking the "devil brew" as Kim calls it.
Company coming this afternoon.. trying to figure out dinner. I've bought lots of groceries, but does this mean I have to cook..?? how appalling!!
I've certainly not been eating on plan.... yesterday was a good day however. Went to the dr. for an annual check up...the horrible scales told me the truth.. that should put me back on track.
Bert, don't you just HATE those doctor's scales! I swear they weigh 10 pounds more than any other scale in the world! Hope you enjoy your company!
I'm still drinking the brew here, too, Bert
Remember that those are the devil's scales, too, LOL!
Take care and good luck with your dinner menu.
