In a few minutes we are off on our weekend trip. Neglecting working out sure has ruined me.... not only do I have bat wings for Halloween, I think I can fit the pumpkin category. For quite some time I have been eating all kinds of stuff and we know what that does.. ; so far this week.. Mon & Tues, I know... I've stuck to low carb.
Started to wear a pair of my 10 levis this a.m. and a new shirt I bought last spring (end of winter sale).... well pumpkin belly had to put them back. I am so disgusted with myself right now. I looked pretty good a few months ago... now I am flab and extra weight... not completely back to the starting weight, but on the way.

This weekend will be so hard.... everyone likes "happy hour" with snacks...chili tonight which I cannot eat anyway..... ohhhhhh saints perserve us... hang in there Bert, you can do this... you have done it before and "just say no" to the carbs...

Will catch up with everyone when we get back Sunday.. looks like a beautiful weekend according to the weather report...

Hopefully you have something that you can eat. It makes it much easier to say no if there is something for you to snack on too. Hang in there Bert, we know you can do it! Have a fun trip!

oh hert... gosh.. dont be so hard on yourself...
and for gosh sakes .. HAVE FUN this weekend...
there is NOTHING that sends me reeling into a bad cycle of eating than saying WICKED MEAN NASTY things to myself about how i look or what i havent done...
you brush yourself off.. and you say GOOD things about yourself... you start off slow and edge back into a good routine...

one step.. another... a few... and VOILA! you are back to healthy routines and eating..

now go out there and have a great time... and then come back here and we will get this done TO GE THER... together!!

DONT make me come over there and straighten you out! *L*
bert is smart.. bert is funny.. bert is kind and friendly...
now YOUR turn!!

Smart, funny, friendly, and kind Bert has returned... But, Kim, would you come over if I continue to beat myself up... that would be fun!!

I really had a great time to Arkansas. Great company, beautiul weather...
I forgot to beat myself up and forgot to watch what I ate...

Anyway.. thanks for the encourgment.. I'm ready to get back on track. When I was sticking to the low carb for a few weeks faithfully, I had no problem saying no..
Now, I just need to get started again and I will be just fine.

I am back to being up beat and positive.. missed everyone's posts while I was gone.

Bert, Arkansas is indeed very beautiful..... Glad you had a great time. Yes, after doing this WOE for a while, it is much easier to avoid the detours in the road of eating in life. Glad you returned safely!

What a beautiful day... in the 80's again. Did some baking for upcoming company with splenda.. I need to make one of those great pumpkin cheesecakes, that makes a great dessert too.

Ate on plan today... boy, is it hard after you've blown it for a few days. One day at a time....long lost relative coming... need to drop some of this before she gets here. Is there a miracle lurking?????

Helped the young man who is painting our house today. Did a couple of swipes on the Amityville Horror windows. Tomorrow will be the day.. will put all 3 colors on the window.. that should make DH speechless.

Smoking spareribs tomorrow. I had no idea I had so many in the freezer to cook....
But, they will be great when finished and tucked back in the freezer for eating when I don't want to cook...

OK... I'm sitting here looking at Rhonda's signature weight as I type this....and Fox's just right there above hers... what more inspiration could a person want :great:

Well - Rob has a cat called Splenda - so it would have been in context with this forum!

Love the sounds of those windows - just the thing for DH's - good for their souls to be rendered speechless sometimes!

Up and at 'em early this a.m. Took over the amityville horror window from my painter and did it myself. I was only up in the air on a ladder about 16 feet up... or was it 1116 feet??? Anyway got it done the way I wanted it.. should not be such a perfectionist... is that Virgo?? must look that up one of these days.

I have really been good for 3 days.. dropped that weekend weight I gained in Arkansas. Now on to the real 15 lbs that needs blasted off. Like everyone else, I wanta jist wake up thin....so much for that thought, it ain't happenin' :(

Having lunch with friends tomorrow... we're having a birthday party. Bring your own present nicely wrapped, unwrap and take it home. This is one way to get what you want for your birthday. I found a book at Walmart... almost 1,000 pages for a little over $10.00... wanted to get the most for my money

Calling tomorrow to start golf lessons... I want to try it.. we'll see if I have the knack or fortitude for the game. My brother told me I could have his clubs if I wanted to go to the bottom of the lake after them... ... I think he was joking ????

3 good days... more to go... WOE determines how I feel, mentally & physically... so ...

Hilarious birthday gift concept Bert! My EDFIL had a neat system - on birthdays and Christmas - one was invited to his room where various items were arrayed on his bed. One got to choose one's gift (cunningly, I always dithered in my choice and got 2 - infuriated the h*** of out EMIL!) Whereupon the 'old man' (he liked being called that - he was an old seadog) solemnly put it into a brown paper bag and off one went! Delightful man!

Bert, just dropping by to say hello and to thank you for all your advice! I truly enjoy getting objective opinions in my life at this point since I am "flying solo" and cannot bounce it off a "significant other"!
