My mom always said "be careful what you wish for." (I think there are many kitties I'd rather not see on a casual walk down the road.)

I don't know, Maggie...I really like that color on you. I really liked the redder shade, too, but this suits you, it really does. Iget the "wanting a change" thing, though. I gotta say, that is a great photo of you. You are so photogenic! When I hold my camera out and take a picture, it looks like a still from a horror movie.
I would love to go to semi-permanent color, 'cause my hair grows fast and the root thing is a pain. However, no semi I have used will cover my grey. I have the same problem with red highlights...I like them, but even when I put a dark ash blonde in my hair, it still comes out reddish.

I think there are many kitties I'd rather not see on a casual walk down the road.

Thanks for the nice comments about the pic. However, I feel about it very much as Trina does her own "self portraits." LOL!

Brenda, I'm glad you stopped by. You may recall, it was your suggestion to give the red hair a "test drive" (on some long ago abandoned version of this board) that dissuaded me from running right out for some brown stuff when I first did this one July 4th morning several years ago.

It's been a good "run" and everyone seems to like it, but I'm weary of the keeping up with roots issue. I want to return to something that will just fade away if I lose interest in upkeep.

I've always had red highlights in my hair, especially in sunlight. So, I'll always be a "stealth" redhead. Anyone who knows me knows that I've got a redhead personality, regardless of my present color.
