Trying to Walk and Chew Gum Simultaneously
"Journaling" at Low Carb Diet Support: "oh man marykay.. well.. when my hair was being highlighted... i used to have a relative pull it through a cap for me... then use the bleach.. toner on top.. but i like the foil ...." |

 Re: Trying to Walk and Chew Gum Simultaneously well.. when my hair was being highlighted... i used to have a relative pull it through a cap for me... then use the bleach.. toner on top.. but i like the foil better... so i wouldnt do the torture *ahem* CAP with crochet hooks anymore.. with the foil you can place the highlights better... more control.. god knows i am all about control..*L* |

| Re: Trying to Walk and Chew Gum Simultaneously Since I'm allergic to hair color, I'll just call the gray hairs my highlights. They cluster right on top, and are really more a silvery white than gray. Looks good against the dark brown. They even sparkle in the sun. (Yeah, I'm trying to make it sound like it looks really good.) I used to use L'Oreal Castings - the Espresso was perfect. It lasted about a month, too. Too bad it made my scalp itch - and itch - and itch! I envy you ladies who can wear red hair - I love red hair, and look really goofy in it. Wrong color for my complexion. We want new pics, Maggie, with your INTENSE red.

I'm doing okay now , but do not color your hair or do anything with chemical base or a strong smell after a day of crying when your eyes are all red and puffy and sore already. It is a miserable feeling and verty painful.

| Re: Trying to Walk and Chew Gum Simultaneously I remember Alton Brown (love him) doing a show on hot peppers - and giving the tip to not be wearing contacts when working with hot peppers. and that is the reason he can no longer wear contacts.

I've got fading red splotches all over my bathroom from my various adventures in hair color "adjustment." Did I mention that I'm not neat about it?  ABSOLUTELY no pics with this particular shade of red. Imagine, if you will, hair the color of the inside of a black cherry. Then superimpose that on my avatar. - ' nuff said. I will post a new pic when I get closer to my natural color - about which you can consult my "official" before and after pics.  I cannot describe the hell that this work day has been, so I won't try. A LONG series of fruitless conferences on cases where either an essential party or attorney was AWOL. Bleccccch! Maybe I should speak with MY therapist. .... uh, well I don't have one other than Dr. Ruth. ... and she tends to be indifferent.

| Re: Trying to Walk and Chew Gum Simultaneously It was an accident! I didn't know he was there! The bottle slipped from my hand, splattered all over the walls and, unknown to me at the time, my cat! I didn't notice until about 2 hours later that he was dyed, and by then, well, it was too late. My hair looked fabulous though
