Oh, yeah. And re: the Susan S. thing. My first year of being redhead, I visited my cousin Chuckie for his anual pig roast. He had the whole gang seranade me with that song from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. (that was in between a million renditions of "Staying Alive." ) He was living on Long Island at the time. Need I say more? That seems to be some kind of anthem in those parts.

Hmmm, I like the sound of your retirement plans Maggie. I always used to think that if I didn't work outside, I wouldn't mind the Winter so much. I do enjoy the change of seasons, at least the change from winter to spring. But as time goes by, I'm beggining to think that a warmer climate would suit me. I have a sister who after living 50 years in the Chicago area, moved to FL a couple years ago. She's had to deal with hurricanes the last couple of years tho.
I might join Franny in WV.

Yeah, the bunch of us, victims of modern dentistry! We could start a commune for aging flower persons who managed to live though it and join the system long enough to get a pension. Bunch of cottages and a common house for gatherings.

OK. Yas can sell me on a "holler" as long as it's in the lower ranges. I've been to WVA, and I don't like the parts that are so steep that you get about 3 hours of sunlight per day at the height of the summer solstice. (I need to grow stuff.)

... but part of me will always want to play an accordian in a zydeco band. Although, I suppose I could learn some bluegrass. It's close enough to celtic music to soothe my soul. Might need to play the drums, however. I haven't picked up my guitar in years. ... too many years to be useful, I suspect.

Mags, as long as you practice your drums in YOUR cottage and not in the common house I think it would work! I've got an old guitar gathering dust in the closet too. Now if Franny could just learn the fiddle, we could have ourselve a real bluegrass band.

Kim, how are you on the banjo?

Kim. We are a bunch of aspiring SERIOUS blue grass musicians here! Trying to make a living to support our commune. We are not speaking of other possible INSTRUMENTS you may know how to play.

Question is, can you play the banjo? LOL!

I can teach you to play the kazoo! (NOT A WORD, anyone. I mean the regular musical instrument .... uhhh .... really!)

anyway, keep your banging out of the common room. Gregg has already offered that as a rule which makes sense.

... ah. Another dodge-ball victim, eh? I hated what used to be called "gym." You would not BELIEVE the getups they made us change into for that "class." Words can barely describe.

I managed to find numerous reasons why I should be reading a book on the sidelines. It helped that my gym teacher seemed indifferent to me. (See, another Dr. Ruth lesson. Indifference can be a good thing. )

LOL!
PE was humiliating in high school. We had a swimmimg rotation, and we all swam NAKED! Not that I have anything to be ashamed of in that department mind you. But I just can't imagine that kind of thing going on today. It kinda creeps me out now when I think about it.
