Thanks for dropping by, Carolyn. Yes, we have to have the carb-laden foods in the house for the hubbies & sons, huh? I wish I could get my hubby to join me on this woe, but he just won't do it. He says he "won't bow before the Atkins god!" He really should do it, though. He weighs more than I do, and he's T2 diabetic. Among other things, i.e. high blood pressure, ....

I was able to find my book at half.com. You may try there. There's no way you're further in the sticks than I am!

I've been eating a whole lotta eggs. Yesterday morning I had eggs. At lunch I had a hard-boiled egg. Had one in my tuna salad last night, which I ate with sliced cheese. Then had one before bed with a couple of pieces of string cheese. Doc Atkins says to eat all the eggs you want, so I'm doin it! I also had eggs w/cheese for breakfast. I really think I need the protein more than anything else, so I'm trying to find other creative ways to get my eggs. Perhaps in a few days I'll start having a omm for breakfast again. Not sure about the carb count, since I'm not subtracting for fiber now. Maybe it's not such a good idea just yet.

Still find myself hungry at all hours, but I suppose maybe my metabolism hasn't switched back into high gear yet.

Well, John didn't go out of town this week as expected. He's got a cold, and now I'm getting it. Bob had it first, so we're just passing it around. Kept Bob out of school yesterday, and John didn't do much of anything, either. I was feeling OK until evening, when my throat started hurting, and my nose started running. I had to take some DayQuil, cuz it's all we have at home right now, so I got a little sugar in it.

Yesterday's menu was scrambled eggs with shredded cheese on top for breakfast. Chef salad for lunch, and the rest of those thin steaks with swiss cheese melted on top for supper. I mushed up a very small avocado (that was about to go bad) and spread it on top of the cheese, and it was quite tasty! Had string cheese and Jell-O (not at the same time!) for snacks.

Since you started a new journal, I'll go ahead and lock this one.
