Well, I'm down 2 lbs. this morning!!!!!!! Plus, I measured, and have lost another in. off my chest, bust, & waist, and not quite an in. off my hips--they're soooo stubborn. John said he noticed the most loss in my belly. Can you believe that? I was lying on my back last night, and I noticed it, too. It doesn't sag over my thighs quite so much!!! And I didn't feel like my boobs were going to strangle me, either! Snacks yesterday afternoon were lc ice cream, butter pecan (Dad's fave). Then a little while later, a omm, chocolate, & chocolate milk. BTW, I had to share all of it w/ Bob, so I didn't eat as much as it sound like I did. John came home last night, & on his way in, he stopped to pick me up a chicken fajita bowl from a local restaurant. It had lettuce, a little bit of tomato, fajita chicken meat, shredded cheese, and guacamole in a low-carb tortilla bowl. I added a bit of sour cream to it, too. (And I shared it with Bob.) Now that John's back, it's going to be harder to stick with eating low carb, but I am determined! It wouldn't hurt him, either, to cut back on the chips & fries! He's heavier than I am, and diabetic. But he just can't believe that flour is his enemy. Haven't had breakfast yet. Think maybe I'll make a omm.

Great job on the loss Bethany :great: . I understand when you talk about your DH not following LC. My DH eats everything he wants and does not need to loose any weight. He is one of those who are blessed with perfect metabolisms I guess. However, all those fries and sugars are not good for his health either but he has no obvious indicator (like weight gain) to tell him that and therefore, he just eats whatever he likes. It is hard to follow LC when your partner eats whatever right in front of you. I strongly believe that resisting the urge to pick up one of the fries from my DH or DD's plate has made me a strong and more confident person and I have learned to say "NO" to food not only inside my house but in social gatherings as well. Keep up the good work girl!!!

Thanks! I did have a omm this morning (well, most of one--Bob again!) Lunch was a bit more difficult today. I had planned to make a salad (& I did) w/ romaine, red bell pepper, tomato, crumbled & cubed cheese, & boiled eggs. Mmmmm..... Well, somebody, who shall remain nameless, said he didn't want just salad. Plus, we didn't have any blue cheese dressing (YUCK!), which is what he likes. I told him I would make him pasta, but I wouldn't eat any of it. "I don't want to do that to you," was his reply. So, I offered to make him a tuna sandwich. "Will you eat one?" NO. So he went out to get something and just now came back. Wonder what it is. I'm sure it's something breaded or on a bun! Anywho, must go.

Snack was celery & cream cheese. Oh, & I couldn't resist a snack bar (yes, it was lc, but it did have some sugar alcohol in it--I tried to get the one w/the least amt. of sas). Supper was steak and brussels sprouts w/ lots of butter. Mom made me some of Maggie's cereal (cuz I just never have any good ingredients), and I tried some for a snack tonight. Not too bad at all! I'll have to play w/it & see what works for me, but it is a filling snack. Now I'm nursing some green tea as I check my emails and such. Gotta get ready for bed soon. Tomorrow I have to do laundry so John will have clothes to wear this week.

I'm down another lb. this morning. I know Mom says to stay off the scales, but it is still a habit w/ me. Haven't measured yet.

| Hey Bethany - Welcome! Your mom is a great motivator around this website and you seem to take after her.

| Hi Bethany! It feels good to have the scale move in the right direction. Congratulations on the weight loss. I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. I love to get on it when I think I'm losing and hate to get on it when I think I've gained. Either way I've been told that the scale will lie to us. So I try to stay off of it and only pay attention to the scale on Monday mornings. Keep up the good work.

Yesterday I made Bob & me a double-sized chocolate omm for breakfast; water to drink. I figured if he's gonna share w/ me I should make more. Lunch was a NY strip and a salad w/ ranch dressing; tea to drink. Then I snacked all afternoon--lc snack bar (yes, I know about how evil sugar alcohols can be), smoked almonds, beef & cheese sticks. I went to the movies by myself yesterday afternoon. It was so much fun! I even resisted the snacks (the popcorn smelled realllly good, too!). Then I walked around three stores. I know I didn't get enough water. I did, however, have a Diet Coke w/splenda. When I got home, I ate a hard-boiled egg, some "waldorf" salad, and a piece of beef jerky. Had some water, too. Today I am going to try and get in enough water. This morning I made Bob a strawberry omm (thanks, Mom, for the strawberry protein powder!). I made myself some chocolate cereal (again, thx, Mom!). I put in a little half & half and a splash of Kahlua DaVinci's! Mmmmmmm....... We each had a glass of lc chocolate milk. Not sure what I'm gonna make us for lunch yet. I did a couple of minutes on the cardioglide. I may try to get back on it throughout the day. I moved it into the living room this morning. Let's see if John flips out tomorrow night when he sees it! And that's not all I have planned for while he's gone, either!

Lunch was soooo yummmmmy!!! I made Dreamfields penne pasta, cooked a chicken breast, and smothered it with lc alfredo sauce!!! Mmmmmm...... We had a few brussels sprouts on the side, and I made a omm with garlic & parmesan and spread butter on it. There's about half of the pasta & sprouts, as well as half of the muffin, left. That's supper! I've had a couple of big glasses of water and some lime flavored Fruit-2-O. I need to go make Bob a snack and have another glass of water. I went to my sister's today & picked up her exercise bike. I think I'm gonna put it where the cardioglide is now & put the cg back where it was for now. Maybe I can alternate between the two.

This afternoon I made Bob a pb&j on wheat 'n fiber bread. It was gone before I knew it. We polished off the pasta, brussels sprouts & muffin for supper. For dessert I made us a sweet berry creme dish. Not sure if it is gonna set up or not. I used cream cheese, cream, vanilla Davinci's, and some berries that I had sprinkled w/Splenda. Was planning on just whipping some cream to eat w/the berries, but I thought that cream cheese would make it even better. I just put everything in the blender. But the consistency was just not right. I put it in the fridge, hoping it will set up. If not, I'll enjoy my sweet "soup" anyway!!!! I put the bike in the living room, and it works there better than the cardioglide did. Maybe after Bob goes to bed I'll get in a few minutes.

Lunch was odds & ends of things: 2 hb eggs, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/3 of a huge cucumber, 3 ribs celery, ranch dip, a few chunks of cheese, and some pigskins. Now, remember, this is what Bob & I shared, so I didn't eat all of it!!! Water again to drink. I'll get there today! Rode the bike until my heinie started to fall asleep! About 7 minutes. But I will keep adding as I can. I think I will do some arms tonight. Not sure what to do for supper. I have a coupla chicken breasts in the fridge I need to use. John will probably be home for supper tonight, so it's gotta be something he won't turn up his nose at!
