Haven't posted in a coupla days, but things have been really crazy. John took our car to San Angelo on Tues. Wed. we went to San Antonio and got back really late, about 1:00 in the morning. Thurs. we went to Brownwood. Yesterday we went to Stephenville. And today we went to San Angelo to get our car. John wanted to see how many miles we could put on the rental car before we had to turn it in. We had unlimited mileage, and besides, we had stuff we wanted to do in all the above places: movies, shopping, more shopping. Boy am I pooped! I'm afraid I haven't been very good the past few days, either, as far as sticking to plan. I've tried getting salads @ all the fast food restaurants, but it's still been tough. We went to Wendy's the other day, and the salad was good & all, but they were out of regular ranch dressing! So I asked what they did have: Blue cheese (YUCK!), honey mustard, fat free French, Thousand Island, or reduced fat ranch. I opted for the rf ranch, but it still was loaded w/carbs. My husband wanted Jack in the Box yesterday, and I couldn't resist a taco. Besides that, I had an Asian salad, and the dressing was really sweet. Plus the mandarin oranges..... I did really well today, however, until suppertime. John gave me these choices (mind you, we were out of town, so it was either eat what was available or don't eat): Wendy's (I didn't want another salad--had one for lunch--I was about saladed out!), Little Caesar's pizza, Whataburger, Taco Bell, or Weinerschnitzel. I opted for the last one, so I had a hot dog w/chili (I'm sure it had sugar in it), and fries w/ketchup. I'm tellin' ya, after you haven't had ketchup in a while, it is very sweeeeet.

Well, tomorrow's another day, but I have a feeling I'm gonna need to go back on Induction before too long if I want to see much of a difference before Chicago.

Need to get back on the bike, and need to focus on my water intake, too. Think I'll be ok as far as food goes--if we stay home for a while. We hit the HEB in San Angelo today, so I stocked up on a few staples.

I made pizza for lunch, while John & Bob had sandwiches. I used a lc tortilla, cheese & pepperoni. Was pretty good. So far today I have had 2 cups of tea & three really big glasses of water.

Supper was mostly nibbling. John wanted ramen noodles, so I ate some cole slaw. Wasn't really sure what I wanted. Ate some lc cereal w/ strawberries, then a choc./kahlua omm w/ cream cheese. Drank a cuppa tea, too. Got my gallon of water for the first time in a few days. Didn't get on the bike, but did do lots of housework.

I kept nibbling well into the night last night: slim jims, nuts, whatever I could get my hands on. I suppose it's cuz I didn't have a proper supper.

Before I went to bed, I set the coffee pot up so I'd wake up to a fresh pot. Haven't made coffee in so long, but Mom talking about coffee & having to get a new pot--it just sounded really good to me.

So... I've had two cups already this morning. I know John won't drink any.

Made a blueberry omm w/cream cheese this morning. Bob, of course, wanted some. Now he and John are eating cheese danishes.

With last week being so hectic, I forgot to have one of my meds refilled, and wouldn't you know it, I ran out Saturday night. It was my med for fibromyalgia, so since I went a whole day and then some without it, I'm hurting today. It could be all in my head, too, I suppose. Called in the refill, & I can pick it up from the pharmacy shortly. I think maybe I'll take water w/me so I can take a pill immediately.

Today I have plans to organize my pantry and perhaps my bathroom cabinets. I've just got too much stuff! Need to toss a bunch of out-of-date stuff that's just taking up space. Yes, I'm a packrat! Have been all my life, just ask Mom. I always thought of myself as a slob, but I think the term "packrat" describes me a little better. If I get a chance this week, I'm gonna try to clean out my closets, too. Got a lot of clothes that I just don't wear anymore.

When you go through those clothes, send them to the Haven or Helping Hands, unless they are unusable. I need to get rid of some shoes I never wear.

Nuts are the hardest food to control portions. We've used the snack zip bags, put 1/4 cup in each, and when the bag is empty, no more nuts for the day. Works pretty good.

Yeah, you are a packrat, you inherited it from your Dad. But he's gotten better about finally tossing stuff. He used to have a huge box of old Popular Mechanics magazines, which were fun to look at, but we had no place to keep them, so FINALLY they got tossed. He never missed them!

Lunch was a huge chef salad: romaine, bell pepper, jicama, avocado, boiled egg, and a few bacon bits, ham, swiss, & ranch. Water & a diet Big Red.

    YUMMMMMMM! That sounds great.

My boss's wife continually goes through her husbands stored items and tosses them. Sometimes he catches her and she gets mad and will dump bleach on all the things she's tossed (mostly old atricles and magazines from decades gone by). I wouldn't say you're a slob, pack rat is better. I bet if we looked hard enough we'd find a new medical term for it. So many people can't throw things away.

For snacks I had a piece of celery w/cream cheese & some pork rinds. At about 4 I made a choc. omm & had a cup of milk. Didn't eat supper. I went to sleep instead @ about 7. I had a horrible dizzy, sick headache. I figured if my eyes were closed, I wouldn't throw up! John woke me up at about 9, just in time to get Bob ready for bed and take my nighttime meds. Took an Ambien & konked out. Felt a bit better this morning, but a little achy & my eyes are really dry & burning.

I made a spice omm w/cream cheese & had a cup of Earl Grey w/cream. And a big glass of water. Need to see what I can whip us up for lunch.

Had another chef salad today. There were leftovers of the greens. Just added more ham, swiss, & egg. Also added celery & cucumber. John won't eat them, & he's out of town working today, so Bob & I had a super lunch! Water & diet Big Red again to drink. Just had a cup of Perfectly Pear White Tea, too. Yummy!

Made a choc. omm for snack. Had a few nuts, too. Took Mom's suggestion to divvy them up into 1/4 c. servings. Now I can control my intake a little better. Did 4 miles on the bike today. Aiming for 5 tomorrow. Still working on my gallon of water. I think another 20 oz. or so will do it. Supper was tuna salad & pork rinds. & water. I think perhaps I'll make another cup of tea, just don't know what flavor I'm in the mood for.

Chef salad... again. But I love it! And a few olives. Part of a diet BR again and some water to drink. Bob shared the soda w/me & got "floaties" in it , so I let him have the rest.

Snacks were s/f Jello w/real whipped cream & a omm. Supper was a steak & veggies (broc & cauli) w/butter. Maybe I'll make another omm & a cup of tea before I turn in.
