*L* KIM!!! I was talking about working out at the public gym. I guess you have a home gym in the bedroom. I've been slacking this week with going to the gym and forgetabout the "home gym" that's not happning now that I'm single again.
Been really busy at work and doing plenty of overtime there. Thats my story and I'm sticking with it.

It's still hot here on the east coast. Here a link to give you cool thoughts.

Kim, I watched Dr. Phil (THE HORRORS! I'm on vacation and was temporarily insane) and he seemed to be saying that.

Sorry to hear about that too, Eddie.

It's so darn hot here as well. Over extended myself and got an A/C for the living room...can't take it anymore.

At the office we keep saying we have to remember how miserable we are now when it's snowing.

I like a good disco tune to work out to but then again I'm a disco queen born ten years too late. Now the Chemical Brothers are great to sweat to in the bedroom...just not on a home gym

Noel, I've never listened to the Chemical Bros while sweating in the bedroom. I kinda like Barry White to set that mood. "I'm gonna love you just a little more, baby" or "Never gonna give you up" if you can't get busy with that song you need a bottle of viagra.

Sorry to hear you had to go buy a A/C. I hope you got a good deal on one.

Well I find it's best for me to weigh in on Thursdays because of my poor food choices on the weekends. This give my time to make up for it. I really slacked this week with going to the gym. I'm just too tired from working overtime at the office this week. The server broke and some files were not backed up so I've been redoing most of last weeks work. I could not wake up today and keep hitting the snooze for almost 2 hours. Well I just got off the scale and still managed to drop 2 pounds to make 327. This weekend I'm coming it work on Saturday and will spend Sunday home alone and get to the gym or go for a hike. I got to do someting that gets me moving. I'm happy that I lost weight again but I don't want to see it go up next week.

OMG it's a beautiful day outside here. I wish I did not have to go to work but we are so busy I can't take the day off and I agreed to work Saturday too. I think I'm going to sleep at the office so I don't have to drive home and back. I live 80 miles away from my office in NYC. I know it's a long crazy commute but a lot of folks out here do it. I could not afford to build my house in Jersey. I was not crazy with the houses in my price range in Jersey. I got so much more for my money out here but the price is my time and commute.

Kim, you got to get the gazelle back in your house, get on moon's or your girls case about it.

Well I got my bike back from my moms house and filled the tires with air. I'm gonna take it for a little spin but first I got 3 eggs and cheese calling me. (my stardard LC B-fast)

Great Christmas link Ed. I'm reckoning this Chrimbo is going to be one of the best I've had in many years - actually looking forward to it! Being single - personally - even prefer it to being with the right person actually.

Ed: The weather was so beautiful here today; it's a welcome break from the heat and the humidity.

I feel your pain on the commute; I'm on New Jersey Transit for a 3 hour commute whenever I go to work. It's hard to explain to people who don't live in this area that the New Jersey housing market and taxes are totally and utterly out of control. My family keeps askng when I'm going to buy a house, and I keep responding NEVER! if I have to buy a house in the state that I grew up in (can't afford it).....

Have a great weekend...and enjoy the lovely weather....its a rare treat 'round these parts :jump:

Good Morning Ed! I hear you on the house prices in the tristate area. That's the Main reason I moved to North Carolina. 160 miles a day at the price of gasoline today must be quite an expense.

"Chrimbo" That's a new english word for me. You don't hear that here in my part of the states. Thanks Beachfox. BTW what is your first name.

Rob, don't even get me going on the price of gas. I drive a little Honda Accord that is good on gas but the price is still killing me. Years ago it use to cost $11 to fill it. now it's around 35 and I sometimes fill it 3 times a week. I hope the next time americans elect a president that works for the american people and not the oil companies. Every top person in the white house right now has worked for a major oil company. They have done everything in their power to make the price of oil rise and nothing to curb it. The results are record profits into the billions of dollors and we the tax payers still give these companies millions in welfare (or subsidies as they like to call them) to find more oil. They don't need the breaks. WE DO.

Ok I'm off my little soap box.

I road my bicycle Friday. Have not road it in years. I'm not use to the hills of Pa. In Jersey I lived in the flatlands and what little hills we had were nothing to what's here. Also I'm sure I was not over 300 pounds riding around. My thighs are weak and need much improvement so I'll keep working at it. I got a mountain bike so it has a lot of low gears and I can get up the hill fine but I have to peddle like crazy and go almost nowhere. It's a big change from walking and it's good to break things up. I'm also not trying to coast much while riding.
The diet did not go as well as planed again this weekend. I had work both Saturday and Sunday in the city. I filled up on bread and rice in one or two meals with coworkers and I did not get much exercise. I did walk once from the hotel to my office (about 15 blocks. or 15 minutes.) I got put up at a really nice hotel. $200 something a night. Glad the company picked up the tab.

Gotta go, it's a nice day again and I got a bike to ride to the gym. Getting back on tract. I hope Thursday shows more weight loss. I got 3 days to make up for the last 2.

Cool hotel, Eddie. We're going to stay at the Radisson Martinique on Broadway when we go for our NY trip. (We won the trip, so we don't have to pay those big prices, either!) We had choice of 4 hotels, and chose the most traditional. We liked their website the best, it was the most informative.

80 miles commute in Texas is nothing. Gas prices are high everywhere, but we have to drive forever to get decent shopping, and 50 miles to the nearest movie theater. Needless to say, we don't go to movies very often. We wait for them to come to Pay Per View.

Stick to your exercise; the benefits are phenomenal! I'm a non-exerciser from birth, but the last 2 1/2 months I've been fairly regular with my exercising (a Gazelle, and some weight work) and the difference in my arthritis is just amazing. I recommend exercise to everyone, and this is from a person who has always hated exercise, avoided it like the plague, and found every excuse to just NOT do it!

Keep it up!
