Today I did fairly well:

No breakfast again. Lunch was brisket and a salad. For supper, I made chili in the crockpot. Mom had mentioned in her journal that she had chili the other day, and it sounded good. I don't have any black soybeans, so I just made it without. John had some leftover pintos from his lunch, so after I got out my portion from the pot, I dumped in his beans. There is enough left over for their lunches tomorrow, and I'll have a salad (maybe chef). I did endulge a bit this evening and had a small portion Carb Freedom vanilla bean ice cream with a drizzle of Walden Farms chocolate syrup and a splash of Kahlua & Amaretto. Mmmmm.....

I may not be able to stick to plan Monday & Tuesday. Bob has dr. appts. in Dallas @TSRH, and it is always difficult to find good food choices when we go out of town. John reallllly wants Olive Garden &/or Pancho's Mexican Buffet. I told him either/or would be fine (the breadsticks @ OG will be oh so tempting--I may just have to have some). I'm sure I can find some good choices at either place. I love OG salads, too. Plus, I can probably get a chicken breast w/ steamed veggies or something. As for Pancho's, it would probably be either fajitas (sans tortillas) or chile rellenos. No beans or rice. Ooooh, I don't know if I could do that--there's not a lot to choose from lc there!

Anywho, I gotta put Bob to bed now.

I mixed up a batch of omms this morning. I doubled (plus a little) the recipe, added an x-tra egg, and put them into muffin cups in my microwave muffin thingy. Nuked them for a coupla minutes. Had a couple for breakfast with cream cheese and a huge mug of hot tea. This weather just says tea & muffins! It's been raining all night, and drizzling this morning. I hope we get some more steady rains--it's making the grass greener.

I really need to get to the housework. We're going to be in Dallas for two days (minus a stop in Brownwood to get the car horn fixed), and we would like to come home to a clean house.

Supper was a salad w/ shredded cheese, a few Bacos, & Green Goddess dressing. Two boiled eggs on the side. And water--lots of it! Had a diet soda as well. When I was at the store, I picked up some Walden Farms Ranch dressing. YUCK! It was just way too sweet. I had already put it on my salad, too. I let John try it, and he liked it OK, but then he put blue cheese dressing on it, too. DOUBLE YUCK! But he said it tasted good, so .......

I rearranged my itsy-bitsy kitchen today. I moved the freezer to where the microwave cart was, the microwave cart to beside the stove, and the little table that was beside the stove to where the freezer was. I think it is a more logical arrangement--we'll see.

Well, I have lots more to do before bed tonight to get ready for the next two days............

Got back from Dallas late last night. Everything checks out OK. We are going to try some sensory integration with Bob. I had tried this when he was younger, but my health was so bad, I didn't keep it up. Now that I'm feeling better, I think maybe I can stick with it.

I was doing sensory integration with Xander. His was more for oral. But the thing they wanted me to try more recently was brushing him all over with a soft plastic brush every two hours for a week. Which is great in theory, but really hard to do when I'm at work five days a week.

Try not to stress about the bad, bad things. You'll get back into the good food when you're ready. Just don't let yourself go too long. Then you'll be stuck with many extra pounds as I have been this week after my bad, bad 8 days.

Thanx so much for the encouragement, Noel & Rob!

Noel, I had tried the brushing with Bob, but like I said, I just didn't stick with it. Bob is very orally fixated. He also has some other rather "nasty" sensory habits (I won't go into detail) which we're hoping to lessen.

It may be a few days before I can get back on track again. It seems like when I can afford to go shopping, I don't plan far enough ahead. Then by the third week, I'm broke and out of "good" food. So I have to eat whatever is available (or affordable) until the first, then start all over again. Sigh! I sure wish meat and cheese didn't cost so durn much!

Just popping by to check on everyone & thought I'd actually write in my own journal for a change. I checked on Eddie's journal, noticing that there had been posts, and, like him, weight loss is just not top priority right now. Health of all of us seems to be in the foreground at present.

I really need to get active again, at least to some degree. When it warms up a little, I can go walking with Bob. Well, I might just bundle us both up and walk in the cold! As long as it's not wet. Today was beautiful but very chilly.

Anywho, gotta go make supper.

C-everyone later!
