I'm impressed that you were able to keep your weight stable even with foot surgery. WTG! Keep up whatever it is that you're doing.

    Thanks Nita.

It really helps to get back into a routine, ya know? I tend to do better when I have a reason to get up, shower/shave/sh-uh...floss, than when I am just laying around. The structure helps me to stay more focused, plan time for a workout, get more water in me, etc.

So, although I'm still on crutches, I expect to be more strict with my LC diet and continue to improve. My goal is 205 lbs. with added muscle mass!

Still on track...regular workouts, reasonable diet, daily multivitamins and fish oil...still about 211 lbs. with increased muscle mass. Slowly losing the spare tire.

    Must Drink More Water!

    Hi all, a quick check-in.

I'm slacking in the diet department, but doing well on the workouts and nutrition supplements. The GNC daily vitamins and fish oil, then protein shakes on workout days...good muscle being gained. I'm doing good in getting in at least 2 (and sometimes 3) hard/intense workouts per week. This really makes me happy!

But, my diet is suffering. My weight is 215 lbs., and getting into the 34" jeans is possible...but it ain't pretty.

My foot surgery is behind me now - I got off crutches about 2 weeks ago and hope to get more walking type exercise in to help burn more calories. Water intake has been poor, but I want to do better on this. Finally, too many carbs are being put into my mouth...mostly due to time crunch of not being better prepared for mealtimes.

My sister-in-law is happily absent still: YAY!

    Weight: 211 lbs.

Getting more walking exercise, missing a couple workouts due to work schedule.

Hi all! Another update...getting good exercise in, and weight is staying right at 211 lbs. I'd still like to drop another 8 -10 lbs., but just haven't had the willpower these last few weeks.

One reason for the nice hold at 211, is that I have mostly cut out beer. Also, as my foot continues to recover from the surgery, I'm getting more walking exercise. I simply need to decide to take a serious shot at reducing the weight while still keeping the added muscle. Am I ready now? Well, no. I'll have to decide when the time is right.

I hope you all are doing well! I was at the Wachovia Golf Classic today at Quail Hallow (here in Charlotte, NC) while Tiger Woods was paired with Michael Jordan as part of the Pro-Am...pretty awesome! I am a volunteer out here, and have enjoyed seeing seeing a lot of the tourney so far. Tomorrow is the first round.

Mort, I'm not a big golf fan, but I'm sure it's got to be exciting watching this particular classic. I've always wanted to try golfing, but don't have the time, and my chiropractor told me not to even consider it - too much twisting involved for my back. And I think I'd be good at it, too, once I learned how to play.

It's nice to see that you are taking your time getting back into exercise, not rushing it so that you heal properly. That's the only way to do it. When you're ready, you'll know it.

Take care, have a wonderful rest of the week.

Tiger's victory has really rubbed off on me. Today my 10-year old son just finished our first golf lesson.

Oh, I'm still close to my stable weight of 211#, but somehow the rum-and-coke has made it's way into my evenings this week. Good workouts, though, the last couple weeks. Life is good.

I'm pushing downward from 215 lbs. Gained a few on a cruise to Bahamas last week, and trying to get back to about 210 Lbs.

    Very good workouts though!

    Still progressing, but slowly!

I'm now holding steady at 211 lbs for the last 6 weeks, and due to regular weightlifting workouts and good nutrition I've been able to regain an overall V-shape...BUT, I still have the difficult-to-lose belly fat that is disguising what I am sure is some smokin' washboard abs underneath.

At my age, 42, I'll really need to buckle down with the food in order to drop that 10 - 15 lbs to reveal the six pack. I dunno if I have it in me to get there.
