Hi all,

Once again the winter months have caused a sudden weight jump that has to be fought back. I've had a good health year in 2007, been in a steady workout program with good daily supplements, and looking pretty good at about 212 lbs.

I weighed in this morning at 219#, so it's time to focus a bit more on the weight loss...so I'll be surfing here more often and keeping my mind centered on the intake and exercise.

Hope you all had a great Christmas!

Hi, Mort, good to see you again.

Yep, nip that jump in the bud! It's great that you had a healthy year. I hope next year is more of the same.

Mort, we have cold, but need the wet - send some our way!

Cold makes me hungry, too. For a nice pot of steaming hot soup. Or a thick, juicy steak, that someone else cooks!

Mort! Good to see you again.

You're not getting old, you are maturing. Ripening. Improving, like fine wine.

Day 7 of Induction: 218 lbs. Daily exercise of about 45 minutes per day on glider and some weights. Great diet day today of scrambled eggs, three hotdogs, pork, chicken wings, a fistful of almonds, at least 80 oz of water.

Day 10 Induction: 216 lbs. Got a good price on Atkins Advantage Shakes, the vanilla is really tasty. Had one for breakfast. Had a few more almonds that intended for a morning snack. Good salad with veggies from Jason's Deli, and a few more almonds mid afternoon. Came home to steak, broccoli and a cheese sauce that I found out later had flour and milk added to make a cheese sauce.

Day 19 of Induction: 212.5 lbs. Started adding in about 15 grams of carbs in the last two days. Staying steady or slightly losing through this week.

211 lbs. Had a bit of a stall while adding in some carbs last week. The weight fluxuated and I struggled to get back to where I was just last week. Now doing better, and keeping away from parties to prevent temptation on the 4th of July!

Also struggled with a slight back injury that happened while doing preacher curls. I didn't take the time to adjust the preacher attachment up to the height that I should have...and suffered the consequences of a lot of discomfor for nearly a week. Wasn't able to work out at all, and got a reminder of the mistake with a jab of pain several times each day.

209.5 lbs. Achieved my interim goal of 210 lbs yesterday, yay!! Things such as pants fitting better and using new belt holes are now very obvious. Next, I drive on down to my next interim goal of 205 lbs...
