Thanks everyone!!! That picture was taken at the beginning of December, at the Playboy Club in Las Vegas!!!! I had a few other pictures taken with some of the bunnies... they were so beautiful... Who knows, maybe by Halloween I'll reach my goal and be able to wear a Heffner Bunny Outfit myself!

Well, Day Two of Induction. I haven't tallied up my grams of carbs yet for yesterday, but I'm guessing I'm around 40g. Still better than the usual 120-150g I've been consuming lately, but the "rules" say get it to 20g. So, today is the day....

I don't feel guilty about it, though.... I bought a recipe book (written by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, which I didn't know until after I read through the book...) which is all recipes for food you can make with/for your kids that have lots of hidden vegetables in them. So, last night we made "Pink Pancakes" which had pureed beets and a shredded apple in them. They turned out pretty good! I had a few bites. They completely tasted like the regular pancake, and if you were to puree a few strawberries or raspberries in, it would have given it a fruitier flavour. Well, my daughter had a blast pureeing, and measuring and stirring and watching them cook... and ate them! It made for a great experience.

Down two pounds today, and happy with that.

I also found out last night that a friend needs a place to stay for a couple weeks because his roommate's mother is coming into town and will be staying at their place, so I opened up my home... So, it looks like I'll be having a house guest for a while.... He's really hot and very funny, so of course, what sane single lady would say no to that!!! I sound like a maneater... maybe I am...

OK, off to drink a gallon of water, eat some eggs, and make it a GREAT day!!!

Hugs to you all (maybe if I squeeze hard enough I'll help you lose a couple pounds...)

Hey Niki, I was reading your journal, and you seem so much like me (as I saw I said way up on the page). We are both 37, and struggling with weight. However, we keep on keeping at it no matter how many times we get set back. Thanks for the reminder on the water and KEEP IT UP!!

Hi Heather... yes, I think we wear the same shoes... you know what they say: Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win! We'll make it!!!

Well, DOWN THREE MORE POUNDS TODAY!!! So happy!!! My body is releasing all the extra water and waste that the carbs were holding on to. My skirt feels much better around the waist today....

I briskly walked home (20 min) then my girlfriend came over and we went for a swim and did laps for about 30 minutes. She's a personal trainer, but swimming isn't her thing, and I was surprised how I could swim laps without touching the wall or the bottom, and still have a conversation with her, for 20 min straight!!! It was pretty cool and made the time go by so much faster.

I was at 65g carbs yesterday (darn honey mustard dressing!) but my ketone strip showed me burning this morning, so I was happy with that!

Speaking of burning, I went for a tan yesterday and only did 10 minutes in the stand-up bed, but I'm looking a little lobsterish today..... people keep saying "why is your face so red?" ah, just leave me alone... there's a price to be paid for vanity, dontcha know?

Just touchin' base.... Have a great one, all!!!

Day Four of Induction.... (well, sort of...)

I wasn't burning this morning, and my weight stayed the same... BUT!, my body fat percentage was down to 44.5%, which I haven't seen since November... I have a friend who is a personal trainer, and says that I should put more emphasis on my BF% than the weight, which is true.... If my weight is down, but my BF is higher, it just means that I'm dehydrated, and probably just lost water. But the fact that my weight has gone down and my BF has too means I'm losing fat. So I was happy with that this morning!

Sushi was delivered to the office for lunch yesterday, and while I had a few of the rolls, most of the sushi I just took the fish off the top and didn't eat the rice. Likely the reason I wasn't burning this morning, but at least I practiced some self control and said no to the rice. I'm happy with that.

I'm feeling like a cold is trying to sneak up on me, likely because I haven't been getting enough sleep. Tonight is definitely a sleep night.

I'm going to get my nails done today.... they ask "acryllic, gel or fiberglass?" Wow! so many options!!! we'll see... but with the cold weather, my hands look like I'm a mechanic (not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm not a mechanic... ) So that's my treat.

I had an amazing day yesterday at work, busy, closed a deal, learned new things, got my quarterly bonus that was very healthy and now I can pay off my credit card.... So again, I'm very happy.

Everyone have a great day!!! Check in tomorrow!

    Quick post.....

Did a kickboxing class with my personal trainer friend last night. both of us were sweating, but both were a little disappointed. So we did another half hour on the treadmill, then sat in the wet sauna, cleaned up and went for a bite. Was a really great night.

Weight is up today - a couple pounds - but probably is just water and will just require drinking a gallon to flush out the excess.

Goal is to lose 10 pounds this month - 10 pounds of real hard-core chunky fat! So, one pound at a time, and off I go!

    have a great one everyone!
