Heather, Niki's right, homemakers are superstars! You should have a business card, and if anyone ever asks what you do, have your name followed by President, MDDA. Let them figure out what it means!

Hope your day has been fantastic!

Montana and Wyoming are 2 of MY favorite states to visit. Just georgeous!! Colorado too. This year California is going to be my big adventure. Hopefully road trip to the Rockies next year.

Amy - Hello Amy - I hope that you had a great Monday!

Niki - I need my own assistant! Imagine all I could get done in the day. Of course, I?d leave my assistant with all the boring tasks where I would get the luxury of laying out in the grass looking up at the clouds task talking about what animals the clouds look like.

Lisa - Thanks for visiting me, have a great day too!

Nita - You guys are so wonderful calling me a superstar. I absolutely love my job. Can?t believe I ever wanted to be anything else but a mom.

Gregg - Wow!! California! I flew into the San Francisco airport and couldn?t believe all the different kinds of people there. It seemed like I was in another country. What plans do you have in California?

Hi Bluejay,

My son moved out to Daly City (near San Fran) a couple of years ago. Ruth and I have flown him here to visit a few times but so far I haven't made it out to see him. Ruth and I plan to fly out there in May. It'll be pretty exciting for me since I've never been to California before. Should be fun!

Today was so wonderful, a big struggle, but wonderful that I stayed on plan! It is day 9 and tomorrow is double digits on baby! I was at my parents house which has a lot of junk food there so I paced for maybe an hour trying to talk myself out of wanting to cheat so bad. I prayed and my prayer was answered and the cravings passed. I don?t think that I?ve ever been so hungry for junk! It took everything I had to not eat junk and I even smelled the cookie jar to see if that would help because my sister swears that is all it takes for her.

Ophelia - Thanks! Have a great week too!

Gregg - To visit your son!! I have two and can only imagine how much you must miss your boy.

Heather - Good job staying on plan with all that temptation! I've tried prayer too to stay on plan at my sister's house. only i prayed those cookies and chips I ate would not be digested. LOL Have a great day!

Lisa - :jump:

Rob - I watch my stepmom and dad at their home and they can eat one cookie! That jar would be empty in one day! They have poptarts in their house for over 2 weeks now! Wish I could have eaten just one when I want some sugar but I eat until my belly hurts. Bet your sister is the same way. I feel that some foods will waste away if I don't help eat them. I go insane when I hear that they had to throw something out because it went bad. This overeaters brain needs to get reprogrammed.

Heather, I think we overeaters have more refined taste buds, and just one taste will not suffice, we need that taste, that texture, whatever, in our mouth. I don't think it has anything to do with feeling full or satisfied. It's that wonderful mouth sensation, accompanied by the smell of the food. If we lost our sense of smell, we might not want to eat junk, because the smell and taste go hand in hand. So, I think smelling the cookie jar is a bad idea! I have some vanilla scented air fresheners, and everytime I walk past one, I want a graham cracker! They smell just like one, and then I crave it! Maybe we need a pill, like alcoholics have, that makes us sick when we eat carbs! Think how rich we might be if we could market that idea!

Heather - yes, my sister can keep things like pop tarts in the house for months. well she's type 1 diabetic so she wouldn't touch them. but her fiancee and her son rarely even look in the cupboard. Of course that means that my sister has to cook everything for them. They won't even make a sandwich for themselves.

Feeling pretty good today. The scale has decided that it wanted to add back some pounds I?ve lost despite my hard efforts and day 10 on plan. So maybe I?m not getting in enough calories. I?ve added in another 100 calories to my day and feel so wonderful today!! I think I?ll try this extra 100 calories for a week and see how my body does with it.

Nita - you are right! I just love the way the food tastes on my tongue. Smelling the cookies probably put my senses into overdrive which will not do! Guess my sister can have the pleasure of being content after this but not this lady. I?d love a pill that keeps us away from the junk. With waist lines that keep extending I think they are going to start coming up with more of these things. Personally I want to still enjoy them so they need to keep the taste from sugar/starch foods but learn how to zero calorie them out! Or - deduct calories when eating them like you?re exercising! :jump:

Vickie - have a great day too!

Rob - What would they do without your sister? My family is the same way though. I plan each meal and have to explain how long to microwave even leftovers. This year I?ve decided not to keep junk in the house. My dh didn?t eat all day because he didn?t want to eat fruit, chicken, beef...nothing because it wasn?t junk. Where did he go? To a drive through before he picked up ds from school. I?m happy I don?t have to see it though I wish he could have stayed strong because he just got back into onederland. Shouldn?t worry to much about him because he can only help himself. I can?t spoon feed him although he does feel like my 3rd kid some days. Day 10 on plan for me and feeling great!

Okay, I have to share something quite funny! Today while registering ds at preschool (one that my oldest went to) I was hoping to see the lady in charge. She is such a sweet lady and I was secretary on the school board one year so we became pretty good school friends. She spotted DH right away and excitedly said hi and when she turned to see me she gave me this look like I was an imposter! I was busy filling out ppw with another lady but noticed that she seemed to be looking down her nose at me. Last time I saw her I was nearly 300 pounds so I suppose she though DH left me for well, the lady that looks like me! :jump: Can't wait until school starts so we can have a few moments to chat so she'll realize that I'm the same person.
