So....new year....new journal. Like alot of us here at LCE, I am starting fresh today. It's been a crazy holiday season with ALOT of off plan eating. I still haven't faced the scale as I only weigh in at Curves but Wednesday will be the day for me to face the music....Like I said before, I know it's not gonna be pretty but I can take it. I knew what i was risking when I made the choice to completely abandon my healthy lifestyle during the holidays. I don't really make New Years resolutions but I am determined to get fully back on the LC healthy lifestyle that I have been drifting farther and farther away from over the past few months.
We layed low for the new year's eve celebrations. It was our anniversary and Little Miss Autumn's Birthday as well. Autumn turned 2 as did our marriage....yes, we were married the day she was born...but that's another story altogether! anyway...there was a big birthday bash at my parent's house and then Vern and I spent the evening at home watching a movie....it was a nice close to a good year.
This morning I made Vern and I a huge breakfast of steak and eggs and corn muffins for him and a OMM for me. I'm still in my jammies so I think I'll go get a shower and get dressed.

Happy new Year to all my dear friends at LCE

Looks like a lot of us have started a new journal. Let the old one collect dust, hope the new one will show we have matured and are going to do better sticking with this woe. I'm all for it, as I have jumped in and started a new one, too.

I'm looking forward to checking out all the new ones. Vickie, you have a marvelous week.

Hi Gregg....thanks so much for visiting my journal...i posted in yours as well. have a great day.

Hiya Nita...I posted a nice long reply in your journal...I hope you have a wonderful week as well.

Hi Kelly!!! How nice to see you here. Thanks so much for the good wishes.

So....day 2 of being truly back on plan and committed once again to this WOL. Yesterday was good. I had the steak and eggs and OMM for breakfast...which was such a big meal it held me for most of the day. I had a couple of slices of ham rolled up around some sharp cheddar cheese in the afternoon...actually it was one slice cut in half now that i think about it...but it was a really satisfying snack. Later in the evening while we were watching TV I had some chicken wings dipped in bleu cheese dressing. Then i had a half cup of cottage cheese whipped together with some vanilla nad some fiberfit sweetener...I love cottage cheese that way! I'm sure my calories were kinda high but it's ok...I find that allowing myself my favorite LC foods makes it easier for me to transtion back to this WOL without feeling deprived. Once I get myself back into ketosis the calorie and portion control will fall into place.

I'm still officially on vacation but I am going to go in to the shop today and take care of a couple of things for my boss. I really don't mind at all...it's so much easier to get things done when the shop is closed anyway. o.m f to tart my day.

Have a great day everyone

What exactly do you do to tart your day? Or do I even want to know? Does it involve bright red lipstick, high heels, short skirt, and some sweet, sweet loving from Vern? With Barry White in the background? LOL

How much have you missed me?

OMG Eddie...more than you know my friend....more than you know! I literally laughed out loud when I saw what I had posted. My "tart" days are over but that gave me a much needed chuckle. Here's the deal...I got this new wireless keyboard and sometimes it skips letters. If I get in too much of a hurry to proof-read...well you saw what happens But....Hmmmmm...bright red lipstick...sweet stuff from vern...and Barry White......what more could a girl want?

Hiya Heather....Hope you had a great day too.

So...another on plan day. Tomorrow it's Curves and the dreaded WEIGH IN!

Hey Vickie - o yep - nothing like a tart day! Re Curves weigh-in. After I read their literature on what can/could affect/distort their monitoring/measuring process, I gracefully declined their weigh-ins, measuring milestones. So don't let the outcomes of their process affect your equilibrium too much eh.

Hi Fox....thanks for the advice. I wasn't very clear in my statement about the weigh in. I meant that I will weigh myself on the scales there. I don't have scales at home so I always weigh myself at curves. I stopped doing their weigh and measure sessions a long while back. I found it to be discouraging so I stopped.

yep....a "tart day"...sounds like a great plan! have a great day my friend.

OK...so I better get dressed and head off to curves this morning. I'll post when I get home.

Tart day.....here I was thinking about a delicious confection baked in a crust in a special pan.....but the red lipstick and Barry White sound delicious, too!

Have a good day, Vickie.

Hope you had a stellar workout! Today is my first day back in a gym in 5 mths too... so good for you! Momentum is key, and it takes 21 days to create a habit, so I hope that we can all create a habit of getting to the gym or exercising at least 30 minutes a day. It seems like a tough challenge, but then if we just gave up 30 minutes of TV to exercise, it could very easily be done. Show us how its done, babe!

My goodness! It's been a busy morning here...that's great, I love having lots of visitors

Nita.....I love Barry White and red lipstick...so i agree....delicious!

Amy...my buddy!!! Happy New Year Sweetie...Here's to a great start to a year of weightloss success and healthy eating.

Hi Heather...thanks, have a great day yourself!

Hi Niki...Thanks for the good wishes. I hope you have a great workout as well. You are right, it's all about re-establishing those healthy habits which is just what I intend to do!

Ok...so...I'm back from curves. It's been a few weeks since I've worked out so I am already feeling a little sore from my workout.....but that's ok, it actually feels kinda good to be sore. My weight is 200.2...so I'm up about 8 lbs from my holiday excursion into the land of carbs. But, if I am brutally honest with myself......my lowest weight this past year was 185 so I am really up 15 ilbs total from my lowest weight...so it's and eye-opener to the realization that the carb creep really began a few months ago. I'm feeling good about my motivation and ready to really get back into my healthy lifestyle. The move is done, we are settled in to our new home and it's a brand new year...I am set!
