A new year, new challenges . . . figured it was time to start a new journal and get back into the swing of things. As I said, weight loss, while still an ongoing process, isn't the key focus in my life right now. However, I am still trying - I managed to LOSE weight over the holidays (woo hoo!). Dan joined the Y with me, as that was one of my Christmas presents for him; unfortunately, because of all my issues right now, he's been going more than me! LOL
Currently, things haven't changed. I don't really know much more than I did before. I have an MRI on Monday that will hopefully tell us a little more of what is going on. They will be scanning my brain and hopefully proving that I have one. (oh come on, if I give up my warped sense of humor I have nothing!).
The one concession I made today is that I bought a cane. The dizziness and unsteadiness is just getting to be scary. I'm still falling - someone bumped into me on New Year's Eve and I wen't flying across the room - very embarrassing. Then today I had a nice bout with the stomach flu and stayed home by myself. The many trips to the bathroom, trying to make it "in time" while not falling down just brought it on home. So, when I had to make a trip out for more Imodium, I picked up a cane. I figure if nothing else I can use it to establish my authority by bopping Dan on the head when he gets out of line
Can't believe I"ve been on here for a year. Can't believe you all have hung around and still cared for me with my lengthy absences and all the issues. Thank you so much. I love you all! ((((HUGS))))
