Well, Sat and Sunday, I had ~27 net carbs. I am also entering food into fitday...but am a little concerned by calorie counts (I used to be on WW, points). I do now that I should not let that concern me...but I struggle.

Breakfast
egg bowl:
1 cup broccoli-- 5 carbs, 3 fiber, NET 2
2 scrambled eggs -- 1 carb
1 serving deli ham -- 1 carb
1/4 cup cheddar cheese
~~ 4 carbs ~~

lunch
chicken wings - 0 carbs (per Zaxby's website)
celery sticks - 1 carb, 1 fiber, NET 0
~~ 0 carbs ~~

Dinner
eggplant parmesan - 15?
(made a mistake and bought regular Ragu...didn't know it had sugar in it...)

Dessert
OMM w/a 1/4 cup blueberries and a small amt coconutty crunch mixed in

Keep up the good work, girl! Momentum is key!!!! It is way easier to keep on keepin' on than it is to restart! Set-backs will occur, but my piece of advice is: if you have a slip-up - just press the RESTART button in your brain and clear the page and do what you've been doing!

looking forward to getting to know more about you - your daily "to do" list seems to have some interesting items.... like one day you have church twice a day.... (interesting) and another day you decided to not go to a wedding so that you can relax (???)

Ciao for now...

Hi Cindi,
We are on the exact same day, day 4. I will check in on your journal and you can pop in on mine and we can encourage each other. I am deployed to Iraq so in some ways it's easy but some ways hard. The easy part is I have access to meals three times a day, the last available 8:00. This is great cause I don't do the snacking I would at home. The bad is I can't make some of my favorite breakfast meals so I'm stuck with eggs. Well not really cause I could get a dinner to go and do it for breakfast when eggs are starting to make me sick The bad things are my roommates! I love them to death but they eat candy and cake and ice cream. One thinks you can eat as long as you workout. That won't work for me. For me it's a whole process. I have eat right and workout and then things come together. Anyway I'm right here with you on day for. I will check in tomorrow morning to see how you did. I am way ahead of the states.

Day 5! I've only noticed a 0.8 drop on the scale so far...but I also have noticed that my rings are looser and I don't have that horrible bloated feeling that I usually have...I had bad sugar cravings yesterday and last night...but I prayed through them and reminded myself that if I choose to eat sugar/carby junk that I will not lose this weight. I made myself a cup of decaf w/cream and SF caramel syrup and went to bed.

Breakfast
Hardee's Low Carb Bowl (yeah...I know not the best choice)

Lunch
caesar salad
mozerella and pepperonis
handful grape tomatoes

Dinner
Firehouse: chief's salad w/grilled chicken, cheese, onion, egg, green pepper, tomato, black olives and italian dressing

Hi Cindi - you're still doing great!!! Remember that sometimes the weight loss thing is like the calm before the storm.... you'll see nothing, then "whoosh" - the body starts releasing the fat again. just keep moving forward!

As for your husband, I know how that is - my husband wants to lose weight too, but he still brings home butter tarts and rice dishes, and orders pizza, and drinks. So just remember that you can be an inspiration to him by taking the lead. There is a scripture - I can't remember it right now, and can't quote it verbatim - but it speaks of the women of the congregation - by their silent example - will bring their husbands back to God. I know that for me, right now, I've been sticking to my diet, I've been saying no thanks when hubbie brings the bad stuff home, I've been running again.... but without saying anything to him, like "you should do this with me" or "I need you to not bring that stuff home for both our sakes"... instead I'm just doing what I know I need to do to achieve my goal, and yesterday I caught him on the exercise bike, with weights, and then having a protein shake afterwards. So you see? When your hubbie sees your progress, he'll jump on board without you having to say a word. I have faith!
