    I joined the 10 in 10 Challenge. Yesterday I weighed in at 152.6. This morning I weighed in at 146. I can't figure out how I lost 6.4 lbs overnight. I had a salmon "burger" with my dinner last night along with aspergrass and tomato and cuke salad with onion in it. I didn't eat the whole burger, it tasted yuk and fishy. Looks like my body is telling me I should become a vegetarian. Or at least reduce my protein intake. BUT, nocando. I gotta have meat!

    Just thought of something too.......haven't had 1/2 & 1/2 in my coffee for about 4 days.

    This is really blowing my mind! Hopefully it's the lack of 1/2&1/2 and not the lack of protein! But what's also bizarre is I had a little of LC icecream with Walden's Chocolate Sauce and cashews last night. Hmmmmm. I've been having Dreamfield's Linguini quite often lately too. Go figure! I dunno, I can't figure it out!

    Okay, this morning I weighed in at 144..........this is blowing my mind!!!!! It MUST be the 1/2 &1/2.

    I will be out of town for a few days. DD#1, JoJo and I are running up to Milwaukee to visit my girlfriend and her daughter. They have a pool, but who knows if we'll get to swim with this rainy weather being to prevalent. Hope to be able to go to the Milw. Zoo. It's an AWESOME one!

    Thanks Rob! I'm back. We were going to come back last night, but severe storms were rolling through the midwest and I did NOT want to drive in the dark through it. So we stayed last night for dinner with them.

    Instead of retyping what I wrote in the 10 in 10 challenge post I'm going to copy and paste it here, sorry if this is a repeat for anyone reading.

    Hey Y'all!!! Well, I haven't weighed in a few days, been out of town to my g-friend's up in Milwaukee area. I'm surprised we didn't float away last night, GEEEEZ!!! What a storm! Anyhoo, she "kinda" follows Atkins, sorta, but not really......... And I went to her Dr.'s apptmt b/c she's on the edge of falling over the diabetes cliff. She wanted me to come with to hear what the nutritionist said about diet. Then for dinner she fixed brown/wild rice, sliced tomatoes, carrots and steak. I was STARVING and had no choice but to eat what she served. I haven't had rice for about 5 years. I ate some........and then a little more, and then a little more..........OY!!!!! And I had tomatoes and carrots too. So I will weigh in tomorrow morning.

    I'm still scratching my head on how I dropped 6.4 pounds OVERNIGHT! I'm dumbfounded. But like I said before, I have not bought anymore 1/2&1/2. OH and she also had 1% milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I had a little of that in my coffee. It has TWELVE carbs per cup. BLECH!!!!!!!! I feel really bloated today. I prolly gained it all back!

    She got a glucometer from the Dr.'s office, so 2 hours after eating, we both tested our blood sugar. Hers was 146 and mine was 132 or something like that. I was not surprised how high they were with all those carbs with dinner.

    Although I had a couple high carb days, I'm surprised I'm not having massive cravings for something sweet.
    I've been trying to tell her what foods are REALLY high carb and high glycemic, but she won't listen. Which is really funny.........I can't figure out why she had me come to the doc's with her. Although, I stressed writing down what she eats and checking her blood sugar levels and seeing if there's a correlation between the highs and her food. She will have to form this picture for herself. She's very set in her ways.

    Barb - don't blame you for staying overnight. 2 things i hate are driving in rain and driving at night. Both together are the pits. maybe your friend was hoping the Doctor would persuade YOU to change your eating.
