Second day - made it through cleanly.
And having to hit the potty 2-3 times nightly - so must be getting plenty of fluids.
minor headache going, but not that bad.
Had to grab an A-shake for dinner - had a meeting right after work and didn't get out for a couple hours. But didn't have anything else when I came home - which is good.

so. feeling good so far! One day at a time - best I can hope for and that it gets easier as I pass each one.

Hi Rob, Heather & Dixie.
yup. day 4 done and I've been doing well. Cravings are in control now. Had a salad for dinner. gave hubby my banana bread, and he got a piece of strawberry pie and I don't even care!!!

Just gonna keep on going one day and then another. and NOT even tempt fate (or my sugar demon).

I'm back!! still doing well, even managed a trip to the drugstore without getting any goodies. Down 4 lbs since I started (226-222) official weight/track isn't until 5/31. and just so it is below 220 by then - I'll take anything else as a bonus.
Small steps, just happy to be going down.

previous tracking, just so its here
1/1/04 232
10/20/04 182
7/23/07 215
1/1/08 220
5/19/08 226 and this was the DAY BACK from vacation, so may have popped up before down.
5/23/08 222

Hi, MaryKay, just trying to catch up with journals.

Isn't it great when you reach the point that you just don't care about sweets, can leave them alone? For me, that was a BIG turning point, because I have a mouthful of sweet tooths! Give me dessert over chips any old day.

I envy you your Australia trip, it's a place I've always wanted to go see, but not likely it will ever happen. You'll have a wonderful time being with your brother. We just had a nice visit with my sister, who I haven't seen in 5 years, and she commented on how nice it is to have time to just sit and visit in person. When you go, take lots of pictures to share!

Have a great and safe weekend.

well, holiday weekend almost over.
I did have a piece (small) of apple pie with some ice cream, but surpising to me - don't want any more. It was good, but just not interested.

otherwise, it is still going well. Trying to increase my water intake - but I have to run to the bathroom so much anyhow that I hate to when we are actually planning on doing anything.

hubby got some cycle riding in, I seem to have pulled a muscle in my upper thigh so I'm not wanting to aggravate it.

DS is heading back up to school in a bit. was nice having him home, even though he was out visiting his buds most of the time. He is working on his PhD in Organic Chemistry. wow. not sure where that came from. - actually my mom. She was a nurse most of her life, but was actually accepted into medical school.
But between lack of support for female doctors, and financial reaons (it was the depression during that time). she always liked chemistry and such.
Me = science idiot. But he really enjoys the research and wants to teach at a research college.

on the plan front - pounds are not 'falling off', but still a few down - and jeans are fitting much better already. And the energy level is up, except for today when my eyes are dry and I just feel like napping. which I may do.

well, I strayed off plan a few times the last couple of days - but not considering it a failure - just a 'bleep' in the road.
back on the plan today.

Travel plans are coming together - looks like October will be spent going to visit my brother in Australia, and then back to Las Vegas for a 4 day business conference - I will be doing a short presentation - should be interesting due to jet lag!!!

Good for you for not letting this bleep in the road set you back. You are moving forward!

Just checking up on you, MK. If your jeans are fitting better, you are making wonderful progress.

Don't worry about that little bump you had. Just focus on today. Don't even worry about tomorrow, just worry about today. Remember the Red Queen, who told Alice, "Jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but never jam today!" Great low-carb words to live by. Whoever knew Lewis Carroll would have such words of wisdom for us? LOL!

Rough last 4 weeks.
TMI warning -
had gone 3 months with no TOM - YAY!!! thought it was over, finally - tired of all of it.
then midway on vacation in MB, came back with a vengeance. managed to get home with minimal damage. but what a pain, and literally.

Scheduled to see Doc for annual inpsection - no problem. middle of 'the month'. nope. 2 weeks after the last one, another one has shown up just as bad. cramps, headaches, swelling, bloating. I WANT IT OVER.
had to postpone the test too.

I'll be glad when this week is over. and, raging hormones have kicked me off plan yet again. not awfully, but just bad.
