Hey Lisa,
Well, I took a survey on line when I got home at the gallup.com place my reciept had on it. I voiced my opinion as strongly as I could, given the limited space to give a statement. The deal is...it's always like that at that branch post office; lines out the door, one person working the counter, what appears to be a supervisor walking around *looking at stuff*...why can't she get behind the counter and sell a few stamps???? LOL!
Every single person in line was throughly disgusted; some only wanted to buy stamps, some needed to mail a package(like me), and another lady was picking up a package. I hate to say it, because my DH also used to work for the post office, but I'll probably start shipping my packages via UPS or Fed-Ex.
Anyhoo...sweet, Lisa...you didn't ask for all this did you??? Sorry, kiddo!
End of rant...I promise!!

Since DH was home today, I took full advantage, and had him move the fridge, and the washer and dryer and I vacuumed under each and mopped, and then we took the grills and such off of the appliances and got them all clean. Oye! The places a dust bunny can hide! And it hadn't been that long ago that we had done this routine.
Now, I've got my sites set on cleaning the light fixtures and the ceiling fans in the next week or so. Then, I will probably be getting close to starting in again with wallpaper removal in the entry way. Furniture shopping will be on the list as well...it's way easier to match a paint chip to furniture, than it is to match furniture to a paint chip. LOL!

enough!

alrighty then...

Good morning Shelley! Sounds like you've been working hard! Whew!

I recently started using usps.com for alot of my postal stuff. I really like the click-n-ship feature! I haven't checked to see if I can use it for letters...that would be great....but it sure is nice for packages and priority mail.

OK...have a good day.

Hey Lisa and Vic!
Glad ya'll popped in!
I've *poked* around on the USPS site; maybe I'll re-look at it and perhaps something will work for my needs.
Hope you gals had a super day!

Well....my dentist appt was a little disheartening. After I was in the chair and he took another look at my xray he said he wasn't so sure this(new crown on a 20 yr old root canaled tooth) would work. He's afraid the root of the tooth is to small and fragile, and that I will, in fact, end up doing an implant sooner or later. We had an in-depth discussion, and we decided to try a new titanium post with special cement, and a new lenghten crown. Oye!
Soooooooooo....2 more hours in the chair with more prep work today, with local anesthesia for the still tender gums, and a temporary crown now in place. We hope the new porcelean crown will be ready in 2 weeks or so.
So, there ya have it. I'm hoping I can be velly, velly careful and make this last a good 8-10 years at least. Then I will consider an implant. Maybe they will have perfected the process by then and it can be done in a shorter time span than the 3-4 months it takes at the current time. Blah! Dental work drives me bonkers!!!

OK...I'm off to take some motrin because the whole side of my mouth hurts all over again!!!

See you lovelies in the morning!!!

(((hugs to all)))

over and out!!!

Good morning Shelley...I hope your mouth is feeling better today.

So...are you and Susie sisters for real...or just good friends? I've always wondered that

Wow, you're doing what I need to do, cleaning the gunk behind and under appliances you usually don't think about cleaning behind! We need to take all the junk off the computer desk (it's huge) and clean it top, bottom, under and behind.

Hope you dental work works out for you.

sheeesh....up and slowly going this morning. I can't seem to get beyond coffee and sitting with a baby wussy cat in my lap! LOL!

Nothing on the agenda. Perusing some diet plans in my *stash* of nutrition/diet books. I may shake things up a bit and switch plans for a week or two....will think about it. The scales seem to be stuck...in other words, I've maintained basically since Thanksgiving...gaining and losing the same 2-3 lbs...ack! The scales did go down 3 lbs since NY eve when I got rid of the sugar and carby stuff, but I am WAAAAAY ready to get into some new territory...in other words, go to oneunderland, then take it from there!

OK...now I really feel guilty for sitting here in my pjs for so long! Think I'll hit the shower and get me-self dressed!

Have a good one, gang!

alrighty then.....

Vic...isn't it great??? Just that warm, soft, cudly, little furry body, purrrrrring away in your lap....ah.......it's a sweet life with a cat!

Today wasn't a total wash...well, it was...I did wash and dry one load of laundry, and that was about the end of my accomplishments for the day!
My bad!

Trying to shake things up a little...as mentioned above. I've decided on a blend of SBD and WW, with emphasis on lowering my calories and fat overall, but using MUFa's more and decreasing dairy and animal fats.
My friend begged me to go back to WW with her, but I told her I would rather do SBD at home and we can still do phone/email support. She did Atkins a few years ago, but it wasn't for her, and I respect that. A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do, yanno? LOL!

alrighty then...

Shelley...I have a feeling that you just might be one of the few people who understands how I feel about my cats! They aren't so much "pets" to me as they are friends. There's just something about them that comforts my mind and emotions....and they make me laugh. I'm just crazy about them!

OK...so what are MUFa's?
