I keep sugar free mints at home. Like the starlight mints, and Life Savers. They are sweetened with sorbitol, but I have a bowl in a cabinet so Sophie can have one occasionally, and I keep them in my purse. She knows she can have one mint if she's been good. I don't let her have a lot, due to the sorbitol, but I'd rather she have those than sugar. Otherwise she'd be bouncing off the walls. Her Papa, on the other hand, gets the discounted bakery stuff at WalMart when he leaves work, then gives her cupcakes for breakfast! Yikes! He justifies it by giving her fresh strawberries and Cheerios, too. LOL! I hope you get rid of that sugar monster soon. Once he makes himself at home, he sure is hard to get rid of!

Heather, just stopping by to say hello! I used to have a bowl of chocoloate on my desk all the time in the old days myself. People stopped by, but of course, I ate the most! Now, of course, any visitors to my home know they will be served only sugar-free anything!

Hey gang!! Taking a slow day which I'm not really sure if I have too. My iron was low at biolife. Almost two low to donate blood plasma again. TOM is here and I know that might have something to do with it. Did research and made sure I took my multivitamin (iron in it) and vitamin C which is suppose to help you absorb iron. Hope this works because I go back Friday. I read that a symptom could be cold feet and hands. Come on! I live in Montana, this doesn't help. - Mab - I've got the bucket of little ones candy over by DH desk. It isn't good for him too but he doesn't put on weight nearly as fast as me. He would kill me if I tossed it so I guess he can help eat it. - Nita - My mom will give the kids cake if she had it and they ask for it. My dad was always the one to enforce veggies with dinner. Mom was pancakes for dinner anyone? Us kids always thought it funny to eat breakfast for dinner. I confess I've done it myself here. - Goddess - We're quite the opposite of who we used to be aren't we? I know I thought myself a bad host if I didn't always have junk food on hand. When we invite people over we do it between meals now so I'm not tempted to buy and eat junk for us.

Mab - At least we know that 1 of the girls are going to make it to the finale. I thought it was very honorable for Jay to go home this week. He seems like such a sweet guy and to hear his wife say she is married to a hottie must make him feel fantastic. Only 2 more shows left of this season. Ugh! I hate it when Biggest Loser isn't on.

Well no wonder I'm a housewife. I have no time for work when there is so much to be done at home. it says that married women work an additional 7 hours a week on house work just because they are married! Since I have my own DH plus 2 boys at home does this mean as much as 21 hours additional housework a week? lol It says that men when married actually save an hour a week in chores. No wonder when I tell DH that I have so much to do he says the house looks great! He doesn't see the extra 6 hours that is needed. ..... Well I just read more and women do have a lot more hours put in with children. It said that single men do more housework then older or younger married men. |
