7 grown men Susie....lol. Do they "let" (what they may call it) you do all the work? My DH says to me, but you like to clean. I tell him I like a clean house. ![]() I'll have to step over to the after 7 challenge. It's nearly 7pm here and I'm closing up my kitchen so I can get another day on the challenge. ![]()

Could you imagine!?! 7 grown men around? I figured that between the hours of cleaning, working a 40 hour a week job (if someone did), and sleeping you would have 3 hours a day left in the day. I bet errands and showering could take care of that! Goo luck on managing exercise too. - I knew that you said 3 but I must have had the after 7 challenge on my head at the same time. ![]() |

Heather - I think being a SAHM is a full time job when you have children. especially younger ones like you have. Have a good Sunday!

Women work harder than men because we have higher standards, as a rule, than men, when it comes to cleanliness. While a man thinks something is "good enough", a woman thinks it needs a lot more work to be acceptable. So, we end up doing more work. Not always, of course. Some men are a lot more obsessive about cleanliness and clutter than women, and some women are out-an-out slobs, but as a rule, the woman will do more than a man because she wants it done a certain way, and the man can't fathom how to do it. (Or, at least, pretends he doesn't know how!) I was a SAHM once, and I know how hard it can be. I admire any woman who can manage it. And I know what it's like to be a mom working outside the home, and how hard it is, and I admire all those women who manage it, too. Not having little ones at home sure is a lot easier, thank goodness! I don't think I have the energy anymore to do it, day in and day out. Youth has it's advantages, Heather. Take advantage of all that youthful energy you still have! ![]()

from April tracking post..... I've been running errand paperwork today for the possibility of the home loan. In the mail over the weekend we received paperwork on a construction loan! The neighborworks housing lady "B" says this looks good and that she will call when she hears from the loan company for a for sure yes! I can't believe how much it looks like we could get approved for. No wonder people end up problems paying their house loans. We thankfully are taken care of by neighborworks and they wouldn't let us get a house out of our means anyway. Brenda said that as soon as everything falls in place we'll gather with the other families on April 17th to look at floor plans for our own Habitat for Humanity home. This is so exciting!!

Oh, Heather, I'm getting excited for you! I love the idea of Habitat homes, they are practical homes, good, solid, basic housing that you can raise a family in. Something you can grow old in. That's what we did, we bought our home through the Farmers Home Administration, which is a program where they subsidize the interest on the loan. When you can eventually take out a conventional loan, then you can refinance. We bought our first house that way, and the house we are in, now. We bought it in 1981, raised all 3 kids in it, and now plan to retire in it. We'll all be rooting for you! ![]()

Got it in my head that I need to put LAWL some where in my signature. They were nice and adjusted my plan higher protein, did you all know that?, because the doctor said I was exercising/weight training and needed more. I may not have strict lc plan as some but I ate sensible carbs. No white flour and sugar products. Anyway, that is my story and I'm sticking to it. lol

Heather, if that's what worked for you, then by all means, it should be in your signature. Credit should go where credit is due, as long as the plan is safe and effective. In your case, it obviously is.

Congratulations bbj1! Sounds like you've been pretty successful with low carbing. ![]() I obsess over food but tend to go off the deep end worrying about nutrition counts. Also was manic about trying new dishes, new ethnic foods, new preparation methods, new seasonings, growing different foods. My name is Margaret and I'm a pickler. Don't stand still too long or you'll find yourself in a jar of preserves! Now like Nita I tend to spend most of my time adapting recipes to low carb. Margaret
