Rob - I haven't been entirely focused lately and decided to change that. I'm joining a gym for a month to help me get back to goal. This snow and cold weather has got me inside so much that I've resorted to St. John's Warts to help lift the fog. I need to do something for me so made this choice. Hopefully by April I'll be able to get back into walks and bike riding with the kids again.- Susie - Thank you!! It's been hard but all worth it. I plan on keeping up with this work for the rest of my life. Started taking some glucosamite (I believe it is) for joints because for 2 generations my family has been on Social Security because of poor hips, knees...well joints! Didn't help each was between 150 and 400 pounds overweight at any given time. Didn't want to be the 3rd in line for this so started taking these pills. The extra weigh off will be a bonus! - Gee Gee - Hi!! Thanks for stopping by! - Goddess - Yes! I have 150 reasons to be happy about. Working on being good to me.... ![]()

Heather - glad to hear of your refocusing efforts. Do you take a vitamin D supplement? It's difficult to get enough D from foods and sun exposure in winter is at a minimum. Have a good day!

I'll have to look at my multivitamin to see if I get some D in there. So cool! Sunshine in a pill. ![]()

| Heather - Most multivitamins have 400 I.U. whichh is 100% of the rda. But rda is usually only the amount necessary to avoid disease. Here's am excerpt from Dr. Michael Eades blog. "I’ve been planning a major post on vitamin D for over a year now, but it seems as if every time I turn around there is a new paper that I want to incorporate. I’m still planning the post, but for now (especially after experiencing first hand just how weak and watery the sunlight is in northern climes) I wanted to get this brief note up to encourage everyone to take vitamin D3 at least during the winter months. There is abundant evidence that vitamin D helps prevent cancer, heart disease, colds and flus, along with a host of other disorders…and even helps people lose weight. Vitamin D3 is the optimal form in which to take this supplement. I would recommend at least 5,000 IU per day" * and here's the link to the rest if you're inclined to read more but don't feel you have to. Dispatch from the wilds of New York City | Health & Nutrition by Michael R. Eades, M.D. Have a good weekend! *note: I take about 1650 i.u. a day between my multi, fish oil and a 1000 i.u d3 supplement. 5000 seems an awful lot. |

That was really thoughtful Rob to locate and post me this information. Thank you! With my multivitamin and in my food today I have 438 IU. I either need to make sure I get a bit of sun each day or get a stronger supplement. - Bit bummed and haven't spoken to my DH since he picked me up at the gym. He dropped me off after I'm sure I asked him to pick me up in hour 1/2. He heard only hour so after waiting 30 minutes he came into the gym to yell at me. I was very embarrassed and tried to explain but to make his point he always yells. Hope that I never see those same exercisers again. Yeesh! It really ticks him off when I don't speak to him but I'm afraid that I'll either say something I regret or cry after he gets upset again. Next time I'll make sure to drive myself.

I dyed my hair and have the picture posted in February tracking. Was nearly sick this morning going to church with it because to me it looks yellowish or orangish. A few people who would tell me if they didn't like it gave me thumbs up so I'll give it a week to grow on me or else I may just dye it back brown, wait awhile until my hair recovers, and then go with a strawberry blond. The box color was to dye my hair blond but that never is manageable unless a professional does it. Usually turns red but this one is different.

Heather, I'd love to cover my gray, but I have a patch on my scalp that itches maddeningly when I use hair color. Thankfully I have just a small patch of gray! I had a friend, an older lady, who had white hair, wanted it blond, her friend colored it for her, but she felt it was too yellow, they tried to wash it out, wanted it white again, so used bluing, and it turned green. She looked in the mirror and exclaimed, "I like it!" She was in her 60s or 70s at the time. Expect the St. John's Wort to take a bit of time to work, it isn't an overnight process. But it does help to keep you on an even keel. I can tell when I haven't taken it for a few days.

My sister new I was self conscience about my new hair color and whispered to me at church, "They are all laughing inside at you!" I about died laughing. She would never say anything to hurt me and will remember this for years to save for her someday. Rob - 90 minutes, lol. Good tip Rob! Thanks for the compliment. Nita - IfI wasn't a Sunday School teacher I might go for a pink. Although I don't think I'd lose my job I probably should try to blend in as much as possible.

Thank you so much! You are the 4th person to say that Susie about my eyes. Okay, I'll keep this hair style for awhile, lol. Thank you! It really helps that the bottle brand I bought has directions for only root touching up. The reason I had to stop dying my hair before was because it was getting to dry. This will be nice. Good thing I have such a talented DH who does this for me.

My clothes are fitting a lot better. I'm hoping in a few weeks I'll be able to wear all my clothes comfortably again. Tomorrow is weigh in so I'm praying I got enough exercise, right amount of food and enough sleep tonight. Great video for dog lovers. Chien Danseur Posted some pictures in February tracking of my new vanity and asian kimono picture I bought. Love to shop when there is a great sale!

Thanks Rob! Glad that you liked the video too. - Got up early to drive my DH to a home buyers class. He was not in a good mood since this is his day off and he has to be there for 8 hours. Whatever, he'll appreciate I made him go later. He is the only one with an income so he needs to be the one to get this certificate for us to be eligible. Got up 1/2 hour before everyone so I could get ready for the day and play on my new vanity. I really do like dressing up because I always feel pampered and pretty. Weigh in this morning! Was down 2 pounds and some ounces but still need to work hard. It's achievable right now that I make goal by March 13th. I've been taking Hoodia to curve my hunger until my final weigh in. Doing what it takes and then can't wait to eat maintaining food calorie/carbs again. It's getting spring so it'll be easier to keep my weight down with all the walking I do.

Beautiful Heather......... I, too, get up early each morning to make certain I look my best....... even though there is no DH in tow here. I think that is something each woman should do for THEM ....... However, I may be strongly opinionated
