| No flowers blooming here yet Nita...it will be awhile for sure, but at least there are signs that things are happening. I read somewhere yesterday that changing the speed while on the treadmill will help with losing weight. So last night I started out at 3.3 mph and at .100 I went to 3.6 Then after that .100 I went back at 3.3 and so on. After I did just over a mile I was definitely puffing. I can sure feel it in my abs this morning. So, I was pretty excited about getting on the scale. Hmph...I was up another lb. this morning. Dh thinks this is just hilarious!! He can be replaced too!! I'm thinking it was too much cabbage last night. When I wake up in the morning my rings are really tight but by about 9:00 a.m. they are flipping around. Gotta be water gain. I'm having problems with my left eye. For the last couple of days I've had flashing lights in that eye in the afternoon. Goes away by around 5. I thought it was cause I was hungry. I've also had these lights before as a migraine without the pain. Then last night it didn't go away. Every time I move my head the lights go off. No pain though. I figured a good nights sleep would take it away. Woke up this morning to the same thing. Now I have like a film that moves every time I move my head. Might just have to make a dr. appointment today...but I know I will be told there is a couple of days wait. That really annoys me...by then it could be gone and I'll feel stupid.

| Oh, Donna, I feel for you. I get the migraine aura w/o the headache, and sometimes it causes a bit of nausea, too. But to have it when you go to bed, and it still be there in the morning, well, that's just too much! Go ahead and make your doctor's appointment, make specific notes about what happened and how long it lasted. Don't feel stupid! I find that a good dose of caffeine helps with the aura. |

| Woke up this morning to the flashing still in my eye...and now my eye hurts. Okay, I'll be making a dr. appointment today. Also have a weird rash behind my knee....dh thinks it's from sweating while exercising. Might as well get that looked at while I'm there. Hope I don't have to wait too long for an appointment. Nita: I tried having extra tea (which is supposed to have more caffeine than coffee and it didn't work. Thanks for the tip though. Did the exercise thing last night upping and lowering my speed. I'm actually enjoying this. I can feel that my abs are a little tender so it must be doing something. On Sunday I put all new songs on my Ipod, and last night was the first time I heard them. Somehow I managed to erase all the ones I had put on except for some from the 50's. I like the songs, but they are way too slow. So, after exercising I ended up deleting all those songs and putting more new ones on. Wish I had the time to listen to each cd and be really selective about which songs I put on the Ipod. That's a good rainy day job....if we ever got any rain. Weight went down the 1 lb. it went up yesterday. Yo-yoing again. Lots to do today to get ready for invoices tomorrow. Boss should be going to town with his brother so I'll be on my own. Good. I find it really annoying when he pulls a chair up in my office and wants to talk. He's got meetings in Vancouver tomorrow so I ended up making up and typing his whole presentation yesterday. Sometimes I think I should just go to the meetings since I do all the work...but then the thought of going to the "BIG" city just about makes me ill! Funny..I was born there, but the idea of living there again is awful. Guess I'm just a small town girl now.

| Donna, coffee has more caffeine than tea, and it's a different kind of caffeine. You can get migraine meds with caffeine in them. You can even buy caffeine pills! Yes, I've used them, but only when I'm in a long meeting and I have to be extra alert. I tend to get dozey in long meetings. One caffeine pill does the trick. It's the same as drinking 2 or 3 cups of coffee. I hope you find out that whatever's wrong is just stress or something minor. |

| Dr. appointment is for 10:20 tomorrow morning. If nothing else it will ease my mind finding out what's causing this.

| I went to the doctor and two hours later was at a specialist with my eye frozen and the pupil dialated. The doctor thought my retina was torn. That's scary! After checking the specialist said it hadn't torn but I'm not out of the woods yet. I have a very large floater in my eye and that's what could tear it. I have to go back in three weeks and if it's not torn by then it won't happen. If it does tear, I'll have to get immediate surgery in Vancouver (4 hours away). Scale was kind to me today 165.5 down 2 lbs. No exercise tonight seeing as my eye is still frozen. Seeing as I lost a whole day at work I doubt I'll be posting tomorrow. I'm behind on invoices now and if they aren't done I'll have to work this weekend...sure don't want that.

| Donna - That's not a fun prospect, eye surgery. <Shudder> I hope everything works itself out without that. Have a good weekend anyway! |

| I was just researching lasik surgery. I don't think I'll ever get it, due to lack of funds, but I'd like to, just to correct my astigmatism. Not very near-sighted. I sure hope you don't need surgery, that it'll just take care of itself. BTW, I hate floaters, I have one big one that's a nuisance. I notice it most on an overcast day trying to drive. You take care. Hope you get your work out of the way for the weekend. |

| Thanks Rob and Nita....positive thinking. This floater thingie is just a PITA. I've been working with numbers all day and it just gets in the way! I was sure I wouldn't get all my work done seeing as I was away the whole day yesterday. But I still have 45 minutes to go and I'm done. Sure helps to have the boss away and phones quiet. I even got all the vaccuuming done and the bathrooms cleaned. Being the only girl here you can bet the guys aren't going to clean the bathrooms. Nita: My birthday present to my son a few years ago was lasik surgery. Best thing I ever gave anyone. He was almost blind...couldn't even get up during the night without reaching for his glasses which were like coke bottles. Now he doesn't wear glasses for anything and just loves it! It was about $1900 for the treatment for both eyes...not bad considering he won't have to have it done again. I'll be going back to the specialist on April 3rd and it sure won't be coming around too fast for me. Dh went to the Legion last night and played the lotteries again. His $10 investment turned into $5,000! He's the luckiest guy I know when it comes to gambling. Hmmmm, wonder how I can help him spend that money? lol Have a great weekend everyone and don't forget to change the clocks!

| Donna, I was concerned that a detached retina could be a possibility. Gosh. Well, cryopexy(freezing) is a very often used treatment. I'm thinking the detachment or hole is near the bottom part? I so hope this(freezing) will work for you. Mother Hen advice: TAKE IT EASY!! I'm sure they told you, but do NOT strain yourself to do anything; lifting, pushing or pulling. The end of mother hen advice. Hope you have a good weekend. Please do your best to just rest and take it easy, OK? (((hugs))) s

| Thanks for the advice Shelley. They only froze the eye so they could dialate the pupil so they could see the retina better. I sure didn't like the feeling! The floaters are still there and sometimes are worse than others. I asked him what I could do to make sure it didn't tear and all he said was not to rub my eye hard to change the shape of the eyeball. It makes sense not to do any heavy lifting though. I'll remember that. Hi Lisa...good to see you're back. Today as a busy one for me. Got my car and dh's truck washed...I hate a dirty car. Then I made a sausage quiche and froze it in pieces for breakfasts, and made some lc english muffins which I froze. Yesterdy I made 3 doz. lc gingersnaps. After all the baking I did up the ironing and changed the sheets on the bed. Then did my exercises and the treadmill. I know this is working cause I've lost 1" on my waist and I wore a shirt yesterday that I haven't worn in awhile and I didn't have that stupid waist roll showing. Felt pretty good actually. We went to the Legion yesterday for the meat draw. With dh president we try to support them as much as possible. We ended up sitting with a fun bunch of people and didn't even get home until after midnight. Poor dh...he had way too much to drink and is sick as a dog today. Can't keep anything in. I feel sorry for him but I'm not babying him. He wouldn't have listened if I'd told him not to drink so much....he was having too much fun. Good thing we don't drink very often. (I don't think he'll be in a hurry to drink again anyway)

| Well..the scale certainly wasn't kind to me this morning. Not enough water yesterday I'm thinkin'. Woke up to a very cloudy, dreary looking sky. I'm hoping for some rain so this dust will settle around here. My car just gets coated in it with all the semi's pulling into the parking lot where I work. Sounds stupid to look for rain after just washing the vehicles. Boss is away today which is good. His brother is in town and drives me nuts. The guy just can't stop lying. And if you catch him on a lie, he gets furious. I just try to ignore him. So, I'll have today and tomorrow that will be peaceful. Might even sneak away early today seeing as I have a little bit of shopping to do.
