Hey Mab...welcome. Always nice to see a new face here. You're right...I do keep busy, but that's just me. I don't like sitting and doing nothing. Just need a few more hours in the day though.

Last night was dh's ballgame....froze again. Those guys really annoy me by saying...oh, it's not that cold. Look dummies, you are all running around so of course you're warmer than me. Try sitting for 2 hours keeping score and see how darned cold you get!

Tonight is my grandson's ballgame. They play t-ball and are so funny. No attention span at that age...they'd rather sit on the ground and pick dandelions than chase the ball. Afterward we have to start loading stuff in the motorhome for this weekend. It always takes more time the first time out. I always say I'm going to make a master list of what I need each year...and I never do it.

No exercise last night...didn't get home until 11:45, plus my knees and hips are still sore. Maybe tonight if I have time. But, the scale is going the right direction...166.5 today, down from 169 on Monday.

You guys are right...I don't sit down at night...I fall down. lol There is just so many things that need doing and I'm one of those people that don't ask for help. If it needs doing...then do it! Sometimes I wonder why I have a problem with my weight when I'm always on the go.

After work last night the heat started!! It was a gorgeous evening watching my grandsons play ball. Didn't even need a sweater. Slept with the window open! Gotta love it. So, seeing as it's to be in the 30'sC today, I got out the sandals, capris, and sleeveless shirts. Now, I have a question for myself. When I packed away my summer clothes last fall....when did I pack this roll of fat around my waist that seems to have come back with the capris? I'm sure it wasn't there when I put the clothes away. I know I'm going to be very uncomfortable today knowing that it's there...maybe that's what I need to get me back on track. Embarrass myself....hey guys....look at the girl with the huge spare tire! lol

I now have a new time of day when I find myself pigging out. It's the minute I walk in the door after work. I never know when dh will come home...could be 5 could be 7p.m. So, I've started having a little something as soon as I get home to tide me over until he gets home for supper. That little something is getting bigger and bigger everyday. So, along with no eating after 7 (if dinner is before that), I also have to tell myself no eating between 5 and supper time.

Busy night tonight loading the motorhome. Dh brought it home last night from storage. It's clean, the beds are made etc. Now I have to get the clothes and groceries in it. Leaving at noon tomorrow for a relaxing weekend. Dd has been given instructions on watering my garden. If she doesn't do it....she'll be soooo sorry. After all that I've done for her in the last year I don't think this is too much to ask.

Off to work....

Okay, everything is loaded in the motorhome except a couple of things in the fridge in the house. I leave work at noon and then we will be on the road by 1:00. Maybe then the dogs will settle down. Ever since we brought the motorhome to the house they have been frantic. Every chance they get they run to the door of the motorhome and sit waiting for us to let them in. Today's the day! Lily rides on the headrest behind dh. He likes to snack while eating and she expects her share. If he doesn't give her anything she smacks him in the head with her paw! Too funny. She loves junk food....Sora doesn't. She's content to sit in the middle of the table and look out the window. Hey...I never said my dogs were normal!

My measurements might not have changed, but there is a big difference in my summer clothes that I'm starting to bring out. Capris are tighter around the waist which is cause the spare tire effect. Even some of my blouses seem tighter across the back. If I don't do something now I know it's going to be too late. Just can't seem to get my mind in the right place, yanno? Maybe once my new exercise video comes in the mail it will help.

Mab...I wish it was that easy. I've been struggling with this last 15 lbs for over 2 years now. I'm not giving up though.

Donna - Why not have a nice salad ready when you walk in the door? I think a snak after work is okay. in fact, depending on whn you eat lunch, it might be essentail. If You have that snack prepared and ready to east you're less likely to binge. Hope your motor home weekend is going well. I don't envy you your gasoline bills though. But then you own a shell station.

Rob: We might own a Shell station...but we still pay full price for our fuel. Right now it's $1.35/L. Almost $200 to fill the motorhome. But, we figured out that by the time we paid for a hotel room for 2 nights at about $100 a night, then ate out at a restaurant for even just 4 meals, plus our fuel to get where we are going...it's still cheaper to have the motorhome. We don't make any money at all on the fuel we sell....only what's in the store. And believe me, Shell takes a percentage of every little thing we sell. That's why I want to dh to give it up when our contract is up.

The weekend was fantastic. Weather was great...although you'd never know by the look outside today...it's just pouring!! Good for my flowers though. We actually won 2 out of 4 games...something our team isn't used to. lol But, we have fun no matter if we win or lose.

It's always nice to go away, but then you have to come back to the laundry, cutting the grass, watering, cleaning the house. And, this time I had to bath both dogs!! They had some stupid trees in the campground that had sticky things drop from the trees. I brushed them both 3 times over the weekend and still had to bath them. They were stuck to the pads of their feet and I couldn't get them off without hurting them. They sure look nice today though.

Sora will be going to the vet tomorrow...again. She has a persistant eye infection and I'm tired of not getting results. This is the 3rd time I've gone back...and it's $58 to just walk in the door!

We won't talk about my weight. It hasn't been this bad in over 3 years....so I'll just get back on the wagon starting today!!

Donna - Sounds like you're right about the motorhome saving money. and you get to bring the dogs along! I absolutely hate bathing sandy. sophie i stoic. after the initial panic she calms down and lets me work. Sandy is just in a panic the whole time. Luckily huskys self-clean and bathing is only necessary when she rolls in horse manure. LOL Have a good OTH day!

I'm taking Sora back to the vet this morning. This is the 3rd time I've had her there for the same thing. Her eyes! Everytime I walk in the door it's $58 and I'm not getting any satisfaction. She has one eye that is milky looking and always red and infected. Now she's trying to rub her face in the dirt and rocks and they cries. This time I'm going to get answers or I'm not leaving. She even walked right into a closed door last night!!

Whew...my weight actually went down 2 lbs this morning. Yesterday I refused to eat until I heard my stomach growl. I was just totally out of control and new I had to get tough to get it back on track. I'm still not liking the numbers but will continue to work on it. No exercise again last night cause my knees were still sore. (unless you count ironing for over an hour) Tonight I might try my new exercise video (cause dh won't be home to laugh at me! lol)

Rob: Isn't Sandy a lab? If so she should love water. Mine don't panic and they know they can't get away cause they are too little to climb out of the bathtub. I love watching them after their bath...rolling all over the place. Boy, was that water dirty!! But, they look gorgeous now...soft and fluffy!

We take our girls everywhere we go. They've been 6 of the states now. Really good travellers.

Okay...off to work.

it is good to see you getting tough with your tummy! great idea to wait to eat until your tummy grumbles.

it is good you are getting tough with the vet too. that is ridiculous. let us know how it goes and how the baby makes out.

This not eating until my stomach growls is working. Since weighing in on Tuesday morning, I'm down 4 lbs. A lot of it is probably water gain, but it sure is good to see it gone. Also, got back on the treadmill last night.

I got to see a different vet yesterday. She seemed pretty thorough. Sora's eyes are totally clouded over now and she couldn't even see to the back of the eye. She did a test to see what if her eyes are too dry and they sure are. Should have registered around 12 and it barely went to 5. So, now I have to put artificial tears in her eyes. Actually, the eyes aren't are red today. I told her that Sora had this problem once before and the owner of the clinic had given me some cream that worked but I didn't remember the name of it. She looked it up, but they had to order it in. Should be here today. She also put her on antibiotics for the rash on her tummy. Poor little girl is falling apart. She's definitely getting lost of attention from us though.

Busy day at work today...plus tonight I have to start making the salads for the Legion dinner tomorrow night. I already have 4 doz. eggs boiled. Anyone want to come and peel potatoes for 30 lbs. of potato salad?

Poor Sora! I hope she's feeling better soon! I'm glad the vet was able to identify the stuff that worked before and order some for her. My friend just had surgery for clogged tear ducts and I learned how troublesome and uncomfortable dry eyes can be. So many things you just kind of take for granted.

Glad the scale is being kinder and good luck with the potato peeling...I've got work to do this weekend so I won't be joining you.
