Hi, Carolyn, just popping in to give you a word of encouragement. You're right, day 3 can be hard, but you've planned your day, so you'll do just fine.

Have a nice lunch with your friend.

ended up not going for lunch yesterday, i didn't want to be tempted to eat something I shouldn't and my friend understood...
so I had my chicken and veggie soup.. got home and just had a little roast beef I had in the fridge...wasn't that hungry,
been batteling with sinus stuffiness and my appitite is just not there.. ok with me... Day 3 is over today is day 4 and onward
had egg salad for breakfast,
lunch soup and chicken.
not sure for dinner...going to a baby shower at a small hamberger joint, so I may get something to eat there or wait till I get home..
we will see.
thats it for now

made it thru yesterday, carbs (40) were a little high, but calories were about 1150, then I did do 2 hours of exercise yesterday....
anyway, no sugar day 5 today, i came to work and in the kitchen were boxes of donuts, and as of this time 10:15 am, I haven't had a one, I had to go in to put my food in the fridge, and get coffee, so I just walked past, did my stuff and walked out.

dh is in rehab to stop drinking and will probably be there for about a month, hopefully he will learn what his triggers are.etc....They are also working on his bi=polar meds (dual diagnosis) and have already dropped one of his meds and substituted it for something that won't be habit forming... wonderful...

so I have a month vacation lol, and sometime to get some things straightened out in the house, get the new office room together, get our room cleaned and picked up since the vacation , etc . all

Ah, a month as a bachelorette. Seriously, I'm glad your dh is getting some help, and his meds straightened out. That can always be a tricky thing.

Great going in ignoring the doughnuts.

Have a good weekend.

Carolyn, don't you just hate it when donuts show up at work. I can pretty much ignore them because my office is not really close to where they set them out. I have to kinda purposely walk into that area, yanno!

I wish your DH much success with his journey.

Hope you get a lot accomplished during this time. Have a great weekend, dear.

I've heard of many couples who talk about counseling but one resists. The result every time I've heard this has been divorce. The ones that go work it out. My mom says that she would rather have an argument then to live in a house of silence because then there usually is no hope. Just keep talking....

Congrats on the 10 pounds, that is fantastic!

thanks all, hard work is the word, especially living with a bi=polar person....the counselor wanted to know why I stayed... and i said I was hoping to find the person I fell in love with 20 some odd years ago....sometimes, I wonder if it isn't easier to just let him go and get his act together without me around him, and if we get back together, than it was susposed to be....

who knows, I just know I am not ready to give up on him....
or me for that matter... still doing great with food.how good I am doing... in my pantry is a half bag of dark chocholate kisses that I havn't even looked at for 10 days.... mmm, I really am stronger than I think....
anyway, today is egg salad for breakfast, stew for lunch and egg plant lasagna (home made ) for dinner, or maybe some shirmp salad...

later all

Carolyn, in this day and age of throw-away marriage, it's refreshing to hear someone who is committed to their mate, regardless of their emotional baggage. If the shoe were on the other foot, I'm sure you'd appreciate your hubby sticking by you for the long haul. A big hug to you!

(I'm afraid those chocolate kisses would have to go in the garbage, or I'd be too tempted to eat "just one"!)

Yano Nita, I don't even think about those kisses....kind of nice, maybe its the chest congestion I still have, went by the Dr. office this am on the way to work, and I do have a little bit of bronchitis, so he gave me a couple of days of antibiotics....

Made it thru yesterday, everything intact....not much else going on today, will post later if I get a chance.
