Yesterday was my first full day of the fast. Monday had a wonderful salad that was left over from work lunch on friday, romaine, carrots, red cabbage, fetta cheese, and I used my salad spritzer on it, also some fruit... watermelon, pineapple and grapes. Also had a few of the flax seed/soy chips I get from central market (kind of like whole foods) but didn't eat at all yesterday, just drank my lemonade....
Yesterday I did about 45 minutes of sweatin' 3, in the am, and had an avon meeting last night so I didn't get in a work out last night, and didn't get one in this am... just couldn't get out of bed, hoping for one tonite.
feeling good, trying to let go of food as a constant thought, trial and tribulation... something that is always on my mind....
after today will decide if I want to continue on another day or two... but am going to get thru today first.
I do have some boullion at my desk if I get a hankering for something other than the lemonade drink I am having.

Mab, I am doing the Master Cleanser Fast - Lemon juice, maple syrup and cayanne pepper (also known as the Lemon ade diet).. tho it was written long before diet fads, and it was set up as a cleanser fast, to rid the body of toxins, and clean it out .. I have done up to 10 days in the past, probably only do 4 or 5 at the most this time.. maybe 6 or 7 but not pushing it, when I feel I have had enough or I am ready to control the food that goes in my mouth, as opposed to it controlling me.. then I have done what I set out to do...
it's not easy, and it is easy at the same time....
after the first day, it is like, oh I can do this... just drinking that much (yesterday i got in 2 quarts plus a pint of the lemonade)
and wasn't hungry... when I do get hungry, just drink more juice...

will keep you posted, I am planning on doing induction for 2 weeks when I am finished with this (also making some veggie soup to eat during that time.)

Yesterday ended wtih 914 calories, and 36 carbs... little high there, but ok on calories... Did 1 hour of richard simmons last night and 1 hour this morning... got the sweatin going both times... used some hand weights in my hands during the whole hour both times..

food yesterday evening - chicken and spinach for dinner then wanted something after I did my work out... and had some flax seed chips and salsa... nothing sugary... of course nothing in the house to eat....

So far today - coffee with half and half x 2, small portion of quiche( crustless)
lunch is taco salad and some of the veggie soup I have in the fridge... trying to get more and more veggies in.

feeling good, having the groove going... listening to richard tell me I can do it, to keep up the sweatin....
I think I have finally arrived where I needed to be... getting up and diong my work our no matter... last week I got in 5 times this week I am shooting for 6, next going to try to hit 7 times with richard, and when the pool is back open 6 hours in the pool...

thanks mab for the encouragement.... master cleanse wasn;t too bad... once you get over the first day of not eating, then it is like... oh I can do this... and you keep going... I probably would have gone longer, but tomato basil bisque made by our soup nazi was hard to resist last thursday.....
anyway,
take care

yesterday I had 28 carbs and 941 calories... need to pare down those carbs to 20... but ok on calories... neeed to see what is making me get so high...
today so far had coffee, half and half, splenda, and a piece of the breakfast cassarole I had in the freezer...
lunch is going out, so will have to be careful,... planning on just a salad...
dinner is also out, but it is at a place that has 25 cent shrimp during happy hour, and I can eat a couple dozen of them, and get a side salad and be very happy... dh will come and eat oysters and share the salad (it is a quarter of iceberg wedge)...

Planning on getting in my work out tomorrow am, might get one in tonite, didn't do one this am,.. was tired...

Rob, here is a cup of it for you....
with all you are going thru with dad, etc. al, you have enough to worry about... when you are ready to get back on track, you know you will... it just takes something to make you realize that it is now or never, and I finally got there and said enough was enough, been overweight all my life, time to make changes...
and you know no one but you can make those changes....

anyway, I made it thru yesterday with flying colors, 26 carbs, 1471 calories ... am happy with that... but did have a couple of drinks at my dear friends 16th birthday party... (hurricanes... mostly liquor and a little juice) didn't count them in my total since I can't find how much they are, but I kind of planned them in...

anyway, today , breakfast quiche, coffee half and half and splenda ximes two ...
lunch will be ceasar salad and chicken
dinner, not sure yet...
didn't get in my work out yesterday or today (yet) but planning on getting it in over the weekend. at least 1hour per day, shooting for two per day.

thats it for now onward thru the fog

with open eyes, I made it thru the weekend...

friday night went out with some friends celebrating anothers departure to another part of the country on her way to try to become a big tv producer/editor/director/ who knows, but she it heading to NYCity... so we had wings, instead of the fries I got a side salad, and instead of beer or sugurydrinks I had a couple of shots of tequela... my drug of choice which I dont have very often any more... it was a nice change of pace for me... dh stayed home and had left overs...

saturday we had our Reading Rainbow Award ceremony for k-3 grades.. it was fun... I was in charge of snacks... cheese, crackers, fruit and veggies... I had one cracker.. (would have liked more but after it went into my mouth blindly, I realized, and stopped)... dinner saturday night was a rib eye and some veggies
.
(had a big salad at salad bar in the after noon.)

sunday...made a big pot of kolbasa and cabbage for later in the week, and made a chicken tetrizine for dinner...lots of veggies - broccoli, carrots, onions, celery, mushrooms, chicken, parmagiana cheese and a little bit of pasta...

today egg salad for breakfast, and left over gumbo for lunch - no rice.....
there were a few indiscretions this weekend in my eating, but I am not afraid of them... I just ate on track the next meal/and kept up with what I was eating...
have to get a package out to my mom, her mothers day gift... also gonna see if she wants to come down here in june for my Avon banquet... would love her to come and be a part of that, she has never done that... will see...
she is leary of traveling at her age... but you never know, maybe....

two more weeks at work then off for a week of vacation...looking forward to getting away, and not having anything to do and just relaxing and reading and swimming....

thats it for now... later all
