Too funny!

Well, the temps. have dropped to the high 80s, so things are not so bad. Sleeping really well at night.

The unit needs a new motor. Why? I have no idea! It is fairly new and under warranty. But now they have to order the motor and said that could take up to a week. Then you know how it will go, they might get it in a week and then who knows how long it will take them to schedule the repair...ugh. I do not like our vendor but since this thing is under warranty it is who we have to deal with.

So thoughts? Is it too rude if I start calling on Monday to find out if they ordered the part and what the ETA is?

Food stuff is fine. Last night I did not cook. The boys had pizza and I got a buffalo chicken salad with bleu cheese dressing. A little more food than I should have...but still on program.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I'm off for a pedi and then think I am going to visit my god son!

Mab, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Yes, keep calling until you get your ac fixed. If it's under warranty, you should get priority service, in my opinion.

Hope the temps stay down for a bit until your ac is working. And have a fantastic weekend!

Certainly call and ask sweetie. I worked at a Warranty company once and was never bothered by those who called to check on the status of anything. It was those that yelled at me who I didn't want to deal with. I did my job for the angry ones but those who were pleasant I always went the extra mile. If they get the part in scheduled on day to arrive this week maybe ask for an appointment the following day. Have a good weekend!

Well....got the part for our AC in. The company showed up unexpectedly on Friday afternoon and put in the new motor. Charged me $250 + for the labor. Knew they would. Now that the warranty expires next month, I am on to a new vendor for this stuff. Have a friend who called a company he never worked with before and they were out to his house on a Saturday within 3 hours. Ugh! Wish that was my experience! And I was just getting all wound up to harrass the heck out of these folks too!

Anyway, we are all situated now!

On the nice side of things...I went to visit my god son on Saturday. Oh, what a little blessing. He is two weeks old and so adorable. He is being great for my sister. He doesn't really cry, just scrunches up his little face when he is not happy. I got to love and snuggle him for over an hour. Then took sister out to dinner and went back to snuggling the baby again. He is so attentive and follows you with his eyes everywhere. Now I may be biasis, but I think he is a genius! LOL!

Slept most of yesterday. First Father's Day without a father. A little rough.

Today, back on track and trying to get my act together!

Glad to hear that you got in that part so that you can get your routine back in. When things go wrong it makes my eating a little complicated. Have a good week!

Mab - I envy you having a newborn to cuddle. I'm a sucker for any baby, puppy kitten, etc. glad you got you A/c back! Now watch for a cold snap LOL. I know what you mean.every holiday was painful the first year after she did. Gets easier but takes time. Have a good week.

Mab, so nice you got the ac fixed, and that the temps are lower. We hit 102 yesterday, no real relief in sight, either. Thank goodness for our ac! And we keep it set at 78, too, but we are very comfortable most of the time at that temperature. And I try to park the car under a tree here at work, so it's not quite so unbearable getting into it after work. I'll put up with the bird droppings in exchange for not burning myself on the seat belt buckle!

And I envy you snuggling that newborn. I love having a baby fall asleep on my shoulder, it's such a soothing, peaceful feeling.

Hope you have a nice, reasonably cool week.
