I know! Bad! We have cycles at work where things get crazy! I usually log on here during my lunch break and relax and enjoy. No such luck for the past few weeks.

It is super good to be back! I missed everyone!

Plus I missed the unveiling of your new pics!

Mab, good to see you again! Sometimes work can get hectic, so a lull is nice, isn't it?

Glad to hear your weight is stable. That is a big accomplishment. It's so easy to slide back into bad habits when we're busy, and let the weight creep up. Great going, Mab!

Hi Mab! Nita's right, it's so easy to gain weight for me when I'm at my busiest and not apying attention. So maybe you've internalized the rules that work for you so you don't need to pay attention! glad to see you back.

Thanks for the support guys!

Now that things are back on an even keel I want to work on taking some weight off.

I went back to doing my puppy walks, without the puppy! So last night my hubby got my son ready for bed and I went out walking. It was beautiful weather for it and I feel fantastic this morning! Slept great. Got lots done and on here posting early for me since I have a lunch meeting today.

Already know what I am getting at the restuarant! They don't have a good selection, so garden salad will be my best option!

We have a baby shower for a friend tomorrow. Thinking my best bet there will be some cold cuts or eating before I go and snacking on some veggies.

Also planned my meals for the week so that I know what we are having and when so that I don't walk in the house and eat something I shouldn't because I haven't thought it out.

I'm either on fire or really a controling individual! Maybe little bits of both!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mab, great planning! You'll do just fine. Losing weight starts with the planning process. Guess why we're encouraged to find a "plan", because we have to plan out our way of eating.

Enjoy you lunch. Hope you can find a little protein for that garden salad.

Nita, thanks for the encouragement. I did find some crab meat to go with my salad!

I had a good weekend. This may sound funny, but I am excited about food again. On my Thursday lunch break I sat down and figured out my meals for this week and what fun sides we could have with our protein.

So last night we had pan seared pork chops, mushrooms sauted with butter and parsley and green beans for dinner. Yummy!

Tonight is salmon with lemon and brocoli salad. Can't wait!

Food was getting to be a chore and a bother. Just goes to show that for me when I plan ahead it is much more enjoyable. And I can enjoy my delish food that is right on plan!

Rob! Anytime! Might be an expensive meal by the time you fly up, get lodging......

We did really enjoy our dinner last night. It was the first time I made broccoli salad and it turned out well. My hubby even ate some. A first for him! Eating broccoli?!?

Tonight the plan is hot roast beef sandwiches for the men folk. I am going to have the roast beef and put it into some salad greens. Yummy! Have to make a quick dinner. Today is a voting day here, so hubby and I have to go do that, have dinner and then I have a conference call after that for work. Worky, worky, busy bee!

Lunch is salad with tuna fish. I am trying some new dressing. Newman's Own. Will see how it is. Sounds good, it is parmesaen and garlic dressing. I am going to need some breathe mints when I am done!

Have a wonderful day!

Your meals are sounding good, Mab! Planning ahead pays off. And cooking so that everyone gets what they want/need is really smart. It's easy to modify your portion so it's low carb, but let others eat what they want added to the basic meal. Just plain common sense, ya know?

(BTW, make sure those breath mints are sugar free! LOL!)

I'll have to look into that dressing. Do you know how much the carbs and calories are? Parmesan garlic sounds perfect!

Heather - for 2 TBS it is 110 calories and 2 carbs. But I don't need 2 tbs. I put on one and then shake my salad in the that dressing. It really makes a difference. It coats everything and then when I am done there is only a few drops of dressing left in my bowl instead of tons of it. Don't know if it will work for you, but for me 1 carb was worth it! Let me know if you try it!

Nita, thanks for the kind words! Between the tuna fish and the garlic you better beleive I am using SF mints! I need them! LOL!

Today I am having tuna for lunch with SF coleslaw. Yummy! Tonight for dinner is cheeseburger salad for me and just burgers for the guys. Yummy!

It really does make a difference to plan, plan , plan.

Have a wonderful day!

I will! I love a nice dressing that doesn't glob in one spot. 1 carb per serving is pretty fantastic.

It has been a busy day!

Lots to do at work and my lunch break keeps getting interupted!

Had cheeseburger salad last night for dinner! Yummo!

Today is romaine with tuna on top. Having the Newman's Own with it. V. good!

Heather, it is 1 carb and 50 cals. for a half of a serving (1 tbs). Just wanted to let you know so you didn't buy it and think, what in the world!?

Have a wonderful day all!

Mab - I guess i missed dinner. LOl Will have to look for that dressing. Newman's own donates all profits to charity so it feels righteous when you use their products. TGIF!! Have a great weekend!
